🇷🇺🇪🇺☢️‼️ Sergey Karaganov, an influential Kremlin-aligned foreign policy ideologue,... has warned that Russia is prepared to launch nuclear strikes against key European countries under what he describes as circumstances of extreme necessity. Karaganov, honorary chairman of the Presidium of Russia’s Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, claimed that Moscow’s military doctrine provides for such action against European states that, in his words, fuel “anti-Russian hysteria” and support Ukraine in the war. “Our restraint and peacefulness over recent decades have proved counterproductive. They have encouraged the revival of the worst aspects of European political culture. Europe needs to face strict deterrence,” he declared. 🔥 Karaganov’s warning reflects an increasingly aggressive strand of Russian nuclear rhetoric aimed at European governments supporting Ukraine. By presenting potential nuclear strikes as a response to European political and military support for Kyiv, he is attempting to raise the perceived cost of continued assistance and reinforce Moscow’s deterrence messaging. Karaganov does not speak on behalf of Russia’s military command, and his remarks should not be confused with an operational decision to use nuclear weapons. Nevertheless, explicit discussion of nuclear attacks on European countries contributes to the pressure Moscow seeks to exert on Ukraine’s allies. See the latest updates with us: NSTRIKEshow more
