Furthermore, supporting the West Papuan Nation to achieve independence is not a violation, but is a right that must be protected by all people in the world. Since the beginning of Indonesia's leadership in West Papua, many indigenous West Papuans have felt that their political rights have been ignored and manipulated. This is related to the colonization carried out by Indonesia over West Papua without the blessing of the indigenous West Papuan people. Efforts to declare West Papua's independence have been hampered by intervention from outside parties such as the United States, the Netherlands and the UN, which favor political and economic interests. Restoring the political rights of the West Papuan people should be done by giving them the freedom to determine their own destiny without interference from outside parties who have certain interests. This can be done through fair and transparent dialogue between the Indonesian government and representatives of the West Papuan people.
