Every hour, the world ticks forward on its own. While you're away, your land is working. 4. It earns a reward called bAXS, the in-game currency that feeds back into the broader Axie economy. 5. To stay running, your land burns a fuel called Lunium. You get it two ways: buy packs, or let your land generate it slowly for free. 6. How much you earn scales with your axie power, a stat currently called Atia's Flame. Stronger (collectible) axies earn more points. More points means a bigger share of the prize pool. 7. 🚨HAPPENING NOW: Leftwing agitators are swarming the University of... Memphis ahead of tonight's campus event with Kyle Rittenhouse, chanting "Lock his a** up" and later "F*** his a** up." The school has gone to incredible lengths to hamstring this event, including: 1 - Forcing us to change our ticketing system the day of the event. The university's excuse is they want to ensure "fair and equitable" ticketing. This means the hundreds of students who thought they had tickets will not get in. This has never happened at one of our events. 2 - Protester groups were somehow tipped off about the school's new ticketing system and the timing of when they'd be made available, allowing them to reserve large numbers of tickets to stage a walk out. We know this because our students are also in those group chats and alerted us. This also has never happened before. 3 - We had thousands of people register for tickets to this event, but the school would only give us a venue with 330 seat. No overflow. No larger venue. 4 - Our chapter president has been doxxed with his number and address published on social media. The campus police and school administrator shrugged their shoulders. 5 - The administration has said they cannot step in or ask protesters to leave if they attempt to disrupt the event or shout down Kyle. 6 - The school has allowed into the event the student that doxxed our chapter president, knowing this person was responsible for the doxxing. 7 - The protestors have entered the event and are taping the names of the people involved in Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal defense. The school is not stopping them. This is what happens when school administrators pander to petulant children. You get chaos. Cherokee paratrooper of Easy Company, the good-hearted farm boy who jumped alone into Normandy, fought from D-Day to Berchtesgaden, survived Dien Bien Phu by crawling to a river in the dark, and lived every inch of his life on the forward edge. He was born on October 14, 1925, in Orange, Texas, the son of Arthur Edward Lyall, a Scottish sailor who transported oil between the United States and Scotland, and Beulah, a Cherokee Indian from Oklahoma. Arthur had made a trip to the United States specifically to see the indigenous peoples of Oklahoma, and there he met Beulah Mitchell, married her, and she moved with him to Orange, Texas, to build a farm. On June 6, 1944, Clancy Lyall jumped into Normandy, France. He landed in a tree about two miles from Sainte-Mère-Eglise, heavily loaded with equipment, stuck in the branches, unable to get down until his friend Jim Campbell found him and freed him. They were far from their designated drop zone. The night drop had scattered men across miles of the Norman countryside, and Clancy found himself operating under the responsibility of the 82nd Airborne Division, attached to Company B, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, fighting the Germans around Sainte-Mère-Eglise for three days before returning to Carentan to rejoin the 506th. He had fought his first battle with another unit. He had not hesitated for a moment. Back in Aldbourne, England, after Normandy, Clancy was officially transferred to Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th PIR in August 1944, joining the company that had already built its legend at Brécourt Manor and Carentan, the company whose men the regiment spoke of with particular respect. He returned to the continent in September 1944 for Operation Market Garden, jumping into the Netherlands with Easy Company in the great Allied airborne gamble to end the war before Christmas. He fought through Holland, through the island between the rivers, through the defensive grinding of Market Garden afterward. And then December 1944. The call came in the middle of the night; the Germans had broken through in the Ardennes, and the 101st Airborne was immediately needed in Bastogne. Clancy Lyall rode in open trucks through the Belgian winter without adequate clothing, without adequate ammunition, without enough food, into a town already surrounded by German armor and infantry. He dug his foxhole in the woods of the Bois Jacques, in ground that was frozen solid, and held the line. He was there through the artillery barrages and the probing attacks and the gray, endless Belgian winter. He was there when Foy was assaulted on January 13, 1945, when Norman Dike faltered, and Ronald Speirs ran alone into the German-occupied town, and Easy Company pushed through regardless. While working on a new video with solutions to... the previous one, I found ChatGPT's new UI struggles even more with concurrent updates: entries lose state and stick around for too long (see video). If this was a LiveView app, we would be getting so much flak.😅 --- I believe part of the problem here is having separate mutate and fetch requests on every deletion. The first fetch is cancelled when the second one comes up, causing items to stick around for longer. Many said yesterday that you could do the mutation and fetch as a single request, but that leads to other problems, such zombie entries. For example, imagine you delete link1 and link2 within a brief period of time. There is no guarantee the deletion order in the database will match the order the client receives the response, so you may end up with this: 1. (client) request to delete link1 sent 2. (client) request to delete link2 sent 3. (server) deletes link1 and loads a new list (includes link2) 4. (server) deletes link2 and loads a new list (no link1 or link2) 5. (client) receives link2 response 6. (client) receives link1 response So if you choose to use the latest response (link1), you brought link2 back to life. If you say you will use the response from the last request, events 3-4 can be swapped, and now you bring link1 back to life. Another way to solve this is by basically not allowing concurrent requests at all but that can affect the user experience drastically in other ways.
