More games need to take inspiration from Quake's impact... effects. It's so simple, a mesh rotated to face the normal of the impacted surface. Can always add particles and all afterwards on top of it, but this way you get a sharp visual.show more

turning people into candy sounds funny until you think... about the rule behind it. if hurting someone meant an instant punishment, would that count as empathy? that’s a strong reason to use surreal effects. with seedance 2.5, i’m interested in how those effects hold up through movement. believable weight and consistent lighting make a strange idea feel tangible would love to see more ai films take this kind of creative risk. give me something weird to think about afterward.show more

Turned on Assassin's Creed: Shadows for a bit and... I just wonder if people are grabbing it by the neck just because it's Ubisoft? It got flaws but the devs crafted game mechanics perfectly, like you won't see in other games. The environment & Weather system was flawless! When you are in the game, you feel like it's such a great game. Personally my major complaint was the bloated world & I stopped playing after the main mission, apart from that it was good!show more
