It doesn’t take much water to create a dangerous... situation. Just a few inches can lift a vehicle off the roadway and put lives at risk. As storm systems move through San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono counties, our region is seeing a mix of rain, mountain snow, runoff, and localized roadway flooding. Combined with increased holiday travel, conditions can change quickly—especially in low-lying areas, desert washes, and mountain passes. Please keep these safety reminders in mind: • Never attempt to drive through standing or flowing water. • If water is covering the roadway, Turn Around, Don’t Drown and choose a safer route. • Expect delays during the holiday travel period and allow extra time to reach your destination. Flooded roads can be deceptive and deadly. Slowing down, staying alert, and making cautious decisions protects not only you and your passengers, but everyone sharing the road. Arriving safely is always worth the extra time. 📍 Sheep Creek Rd x Phelan Rd. #TurnAroundDontDrown #StormSafety #HolidayTravel #CALFIRE #SanBernardinoCounty #InyoCounty #MonoCountyshow more

While many around the league don’t expect any linebackers... to be drafted tonight, if there is one, it certainly could be #TexasAM’s Edgerrin Cooper. Cooper is the most complete LB in the 2024 draft class. He’s shown to be: 1️⃣an elite athlete 2️⃣a consistent and impactful run defender 3️⃣a capable and efficient blitzer, and 4️⃣able to use his size and bend to disrupt in pass protection As a run defender, he finished with an 87.6 PFF grade, highest among any expected draft linebackers in this year’s draft class. That includes 15 TFLs or no gain plays. As you can see (🎥), his downhill force plus balance and control allows him to consistently win in the run game As a pass rusher, he had 7 sacks on the year, 4 of which came from playing on the line of scrimmage. When lined up on the line of scrimmage, he generated a pressure on over 30% of his pass rush snaps. Elite ‼️ And in coverage, he finished with a top-10 coverage grade int eh country last season (per PFF College) among LBs lined up in the box. He’s able to use his length and bend, along with developed vision and timing to disrupt plays from the box. Couple all of that with a 4.51 forty time and would-be impressive athletic testing numbers if he was 100% for the draft process (why he wasn’t able to officially go every day in practice at This Account Has Moved), and it’s hard to ignore his NFL starting potential. There’s a real chance he goes in late round one, but if he’s there on Day 2, he may not only be one of, if not the, first linebacker drafted, but may be one of the first players taken on Day 2 of the draft. #ShrineBowlWhosNextshow more

This guy cracked the code on AI girlfriend monetization... using real-time technology and now pulls $76,000 per month from one Instagram profile without ever showing his real face or hiring an actual model. He got tired of watching creators split 80 percent of revenue with agencies while their competitors ran 24/7 chat operations with zero burnout, so he built a system that generates hyperrealistic AI influencer content using motion capture and synthetic face generation instead of photographers, makeup artists, or Miami beach rentals. His monthly profit hit $76,455 last month from just 90.4K followers and organic short-form traffic, while traditional creators cap out at $15K after paying 40 percent platform fees and $2,000 monthly for content production teams. Here is the exact breakdown: → Real-time face swap technology becomes the only tool you need, but most people butcher the setup by skipping gesture synchronization in the first 10 seconds → Character design comes first, and if you mess this up nothing saves it. Stick to approachable features (freckles, natural makeup, warm smile) because that is where parasocial engagement lives → Profile building is not random. You craft one consistent AI persona that repeats across all content so your audience recognizes the girl → You are picking who your subscriber projects onto, not who looks unattainable. That is your retention baked into the face → Motion capture runs before generation, and this is what kills the uncanny valley effect that destroys engagement in 3 seconds → You mirror your own gestures through webcam: confused shrug, hand raise, lean-in shock, peace sign wave. The AI mask tracks every micro-movement and applies it to the generated face in real time → Batching is the move 91 percent skip: same room setup, multiple emotion sequences, one recording session. → The system generates 7 to 10 TikToks before dinner, while traditional creators test 3 per week and wonder why their conversion rates are stuck at 0.4 percent The economics are stupid: each video costs him $0 in talent fees, pulls 2 million views organically, converts at 2 percent into 1,800 clicks to private platforms at $10 to $15 subscription with $40 to $60 backend PPV per fan. That is $76,455 profit per month, while real creators pay $5,000 for production and net $22,000 after platform cuts. The key move nobody talks about: you cannot skip the natural gesture library. If you generate the AI face without mirroring your own spontaneous reactions first, the avatar moves like a CGI render. The eye contact breaks. The smile timing lags. The whole thing screams and your retention dies at 2.1 seconds. His system records him doing the exact confusion-to-delight emotional arc first, so the AI mask inherits human timing, natural eyebrow raises, and spontaneous energy that reads as a real girl reacting to comments, not a scripted advertisement. One Instagram profile generated 12 variants of the same "how I afford this lifestyle" hook in 40 minutes with different outfits, different lighting setups, different trending audios, and found the winner in 96 hours without spending $8,000 on influencer collaborations. They were previously paying $1,200 per UGC creator and burning $6,400 per week on content that plateaued at 60K views. Now they spend $0 for 12 variants and their cost per subscriber dropped from $48 to $11. Agencies now panic because their entire margin was built on model exclusivity, and this removes the human dependency. The outfit changes between clips like a wardrobe swap filter. The lighting matches bedroom authenticity. The hand gestures sync with emotional beats. No casting call. No model contract. No location scouting. Just a webcamera, a real-time face swap AI, and the discipline to batch-test emotional hooks before you commit traffic spend to one persona.show more

🚨 WARNING: SOMETHING EXTREMELY BAD IS HAPPENING... Iran just... attacked THREE ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump already drew the line. Publicly, on the record. Any attack in the Strait violates the agreement. Those were his exact words. Not an interpretation. Not diplomatic language. A direct statement with a direct consequence. The consequence is now in motion. US-Iran insiders are saying US forces may respond anytime. Not tomorrow, not after another round of talks. ANYTIME. Which means the ceasefire that the market spent two weeks pricing in is functionally dead as of this morning. Every rally built on peace-deal optimism, every rotation back into risk assets. Every fund that reduced energy exposure, betting that the Strait stays open. Oil is already above $70. And that's before a single US response. If the deal officially collapses and the Strait becomes an active conflict zone... Oil may return to levels above $100. JUST IMAGINE. 100 DOLLARS. Because investors remember how it pumped after the beginning of the US-IRAN war. The damage is already showing up globally. China's stock market has lost over ¥1.1 TRILLION. South Korea is down over ₩300 TRILLION. U.S. market lost $200 BILLION at open. These aren't rounding errors; these are the first dominoes falling in real time while US markets are still figuring out what just happened. All of it just became the wrong trade simultaneously. Here's what the sequence looks like from here. US responds to the attack. Iran escalates. The Strait goes from contested to an active conflict zone. Oil doesn't reprice gradually; it gaps. Tanker insurance rates go vertical. Shipping costs spike. Every inflation number that was supposed to come down this quarter gets revised higher. The Fed was already hiking; now they hike into an oil shock. And the market that was sitting at all-time highs on eight stocks with no margin for error has to absorb all of this before the weekend. There is no version of today that ends well for risk assets. The deal was the last thing holding this together. It's gone. This sounds SCARY, but I will keep you updated on everything here. When I rotate money, I will post my moves here so my FOLLOWERS can SAVE their money. Many will regret not following me earlier...show more

🚨 OPERATIONAL UPDATE: TALKS FAIL, PRESSURE CONTINUES - Reporting... Window: Last 24 Hours The diplomatic track did not produce a result in this window. After extended, high-level negotiations in Islamabad, the United States and Iran left without an agreement, despite what both sides described as a final round of talks. At the same time, Lebanon remains active, the Strait of Hormuz is still unresolved, and the broader regional pressure structure has not changed. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🇵🇰 ISLAMABAD TALKS: FAILED ROUND, NOT A BREAKTHROUGH The most important development in this window is straightforward: • U.S. and Iranian delegations held 21 hours of direct talks • No agreement was reached • Both sides left without accepting terms • Each side blamed the other The core issues did not move: • U.S. demands: nuclear rollback and unrestricted access to the Strait of Hormuz • Iranian demands: sanctions relief, reparations, control over Hormuz, and a regional ceasefire including Lebanon Those positions remain fundamentally incompatible. At its core, this is not just a ceasefire negotiation. It is a negotiation over Iran’s long-term ability to project power: • The U.S. is pushing to dismantle that capability, including nuclear, missile, and proxy elements • Iran is trying to preserve enough of it to remain a regional power Both sides are still signaling willingness to continue talks, but this round produced no progress. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🇱🇧 LEBANON: CONTINUED STRIKES, NO LINK TO CEASEFIRE Lebanon remains the most active battlefield and was not affected by the failed negotiations. Israeli strikes continued across southern Lebanon, with reporting confirming: • Multiple strike waves across southern towns • At least 11 killed in recent operations • Continued targeting of Hezbollah infrastructure and positions At the same time, Hezbollah continues: • Intermittent rocket fire toward Israel • Ongoing clashes along the border This reinforces the established fact that there is no operational pause in Lebanon. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚓ STRAIT OF HORMUZ: NAVAL MOVEMENTS AND PARTIAL OPENING The most important operational shift in this window is in the Strait itself. Two U.S. Navy destroyers transited the Strait of Hormuz, tied to planned mine-clearing operations. Three supertankers successfully exited the Gulf, while hundreds remain queued, and Iran continues to signal control and leverage over access. At the same time, the U.S. has now moved beyond signaling: • President Trump announced the Navy will interdict vessels that pay tolls to Iran • He indicated a willingness to impose a de facto blockade of the Strait • The stated objective is to eliminate Iran’s ability to monetize or control passage This creates a new reality: • Hormuz is not fully closed • It is not fully open • It is now becoming an actively contested maritime zone ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌍 GLOBAL ENERGY RESPONSE Markets are already adapting to the disruption. • Tankers are rerouting away from the Gulf • U.S. exports are rising toward record levels • Gulf Coast refineries are running near capacity • Major buyers are competing for non-Gulf supply The effect is clear. Iran disrupted supply, the global market began rerouting around it, that does not remove Iran’s leverage. It limits how long that leverage can be sustained. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📌 WHAT MATTERS MOST RIGHT NOW • U.S.–Iran talks failed to produce an agreement • Both sides left Islamabad without accepting terms, though talks may continue • Lebanon remains an active battlefield, with continued Israeli strikes and Hezbollah fire • The U.S. has begun direct naval movement through Hormuz, including destroyer transits and upcoming mine-clearing operations • Shipping is partially resuming, but the Strait remains unstable and contested ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🧠 ASSESSMENT This was a real negotiation attempt. It failed. And the reason it failed is becoming clearer. Iran continues to negotiate as if it holds structural leverage over the outcome. The battlefield suggests otherwise. Its position is weaker than its posture. But it is not without leverage. That leverage is concentrated in two places: • The ability to disrupt Hormuz and global energy flow • The ability to keep secondary fronts, especially Lebanon, active The first creates economic pressure. The second prevents clean diplomatic separation. At the same time, the United States is signaling something equally important: It is willing to test those limits directly. Naval transits through Hormuz are not symbolic. They are the early stages of forcing open the most important pressure point Iran still holds. That is the real signal underneath the headlines. Not just that talks failed. But that both sides are now preparing for what happens if they continue to fail.show more

🚨OPERATIONAL UPDATE: ISRAEL U.S. WAR WITH THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC... - Reporting Window: 3/14 to 3/16 • The war widened further into the Gulf economy, with drone incidents near Dubai Airport, disruption at Fujairah energy infrastructure (also in the UAE), and continued pressure around the Strait of Hormuz • Israel continued deep strike waves inside Iran while expanding ground operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon • Iran continued missile salvos toward Israel while activating proxy pressure fronts across Iraq • The U.S. began pushing for a multinational Hormuz security coalition while calibrating escalation to avoid a global oil shock The last 48 hours showed that the war is no longer just about missile exchanges between Israel and Iran. It is increasingly a contest over the regional system itself: energy flows, maritime routes, proxy networks, and command infrastructure. While Israel continues to degrade Iran’s military capabilities, Iran is trying to widen the battlefield economically and geographically. 📽️VIDEO 1: U.S. strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island oil export hub. 📽️VIDEO 2: Smoke rising from oil infrastructure in Fujairah after drone debris caused a fire. *⃣ GULF FRONT: THE ECONOMIC WAR DEEPENED This remained the most strategically important development. Following earlier strikes around Kharg Island and threats to the Strait of Hormuz, pressure on Gulf infrastructure continued. Drone incidents and debris related fires disrupted operations near Fujairah’s energy infrastructure, one of the world’s largest bunkering hubs in the UAE. Shortly afterward, a drone related incident near Dubai International Airport ignited a fuel tank and temporarily disrupted flight operations before authorities contained the fire and resumed traffic. These incidents show the war repeatedly touching civilian energy and logistics infrastructure in the UAE, not just military facilities. Even limited disruptions matter in this region. The Strait of Hormuz handles roughly 20 percent of global oil supply, and repeated incidents have pushed oil prices above $100 during the week. Iran does not need to fully close Hormuz to achieve strategic leverage. Persistent disruption alone can force insurance spikes, rerouting of shipping, and higher global energy prices. *⃣ KHARG ISLAND: IRAN’S ECONOMIC JUGULAR IS NOW UNDER DIRECT PRESSURE One of the most consequential developments in the war involves Kharg Island, Iran’s primary oil export terminal. Historically, roughly 85 to 90 percent of Iran’s crude exports pass through Kharg, making it the single most important node in the country’s energy economy. Recent U.S. strikes targeted military infrastructure associated with IRGC naval operations near the island, particularly facilities linked to mine laying capability and coastal missile systems. These strikes appear connected to Washington’s warning that Iran must not deploy naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz. There are also scattered reports of secondary explosions and possible infrastructure damage near the port, though there is no credible confirmation that the export terminal itself has been destroyed. That distinction is important. Destroying Kharg outright would cripple Iran’s oil exports overnight and likely trigger a massive oil price spike. Instead, the current targeting pattern appears designed to threaten Iran’s economic lifeline without fully collapsing it, maintaining pressure while avoiding the most extreme global economic consequences. *⃣ IRAN: STRIKES INSIDE THE CORE CONTINUED Inside Iran, Israeli strike activity remained intense. Over the last 48 hours, strikes targeted command infrastructure, missile launch systems, air defense networks, and military production sites across Tehran and other strategic locations. The campaign also hit Mehrabad Airport, where Israeli officials reported destroying aircraft associated with Iran’s leadership. Across central and western Iran, the strike map remains broad. Tehran, Karaj, and several other military zones have continued to appear in overnight strike reporting. This suggests the campaign is still focused on systematically degrading Iran’s military capacity, particularly missile infrastructure and command networks. Rather than shifting toward a narrow endgame phase, the strikes indicate a continued effort to keep Iran’s launch capabilities suppressed. *⃣ LEBANON: THE NORTHERN FRONT IS EXPANDING The Lebanon front also escalated further. Israeli forces expanded ground operations in southern Lebanon and reportedly encircled Khiyam, pushing westward toward the Litani River. This represents a larger ground posture than earlier border operations and indicates Israel is attempting to shape the battlefield against Hezbollah rather than simply retaliating against rocket launches. At the same time, Hezbollah continued firing rockets and drones toward northern Israel, maintaining pressure on the northern front even after suffering extensive infrastructure losses earlier in the war. Israel has continued heavy strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon, including operational sites and logistical facilities tied to the group’s missile network. The northern theater now appears to be entering a phase of attrition and positional pressure, rather than the limited cross border exchanges that characterized earlier weeks. *⃣ IRAQ: PROXY PRESSURE ON THE UNITED STATES CONTINUES Iran aligned militias continued attacks on U.S. positions across Iraq. Over the past several days these groups have launched drones and rockets against American bases and diplomatic infrastructure, including a missile strike on the helipad area of the U.S. embassy compound in Baghdad. These attacks serve two purposes: ➡️First, they impose direct costs on U.S. operations in the region. ➡️Second, they force the United States to divert resources toward base defense and interception missions. Even when damage is limited, the attacks expand the battlefield and complicate the operational environment for U.S. forces. *⃣ IRANIAN MISSILE ATTACKS CONTINUE Iran continued launching missiles toward Israel during this period. Several salvos targeted southern Israel and the Negev region, triggering repeated air raid alerts. Despite continued launches, the overall military impact of these attacks appears limited. Israeli air defense systems including Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and U.S. systems such as THAAD have maintained high interception rates. Iran is still able to launch missiles and drones, but the sustained strikes on launchers, command centers, and production facilities appear to be reducing the scale of its barrages compared to the opening days of the war. *⃣ WASHINGTON: TRUMP SIGNALS A LONGER STRATEGIC GAME The political messaging from Washington over the past 48 hours has also clarified the broader strategic direction. Publicly, Trump has suggested the war could end soon and that most major Iranian targets have already been struck. Operationally, however, the signals point toward preparation for a longer campaign. Washington has begun pushing for a multinational coalition to secure the Strait of Hormuz, urging countries that depend on Gulf energy flows to participate in maritime security operations. At the same time, the United States has been careful not to push escalation to the point of triggering a global energy shock. This balancing act helps explain why certain targets, such as Kharg Island’s export terminal, have been threatened but not completely destroyed. The strategic posture appears to be: ➡️sustain pressure on Iran’s military capability ➡️protect global energy flows ➡️avoid triggering a catastrophic oil price spike Israel’s priorities are somewhat different. Israel is focused primarily on maximizing military degradation of Iran and Hezbollah, even if that increases regional escalation risks. The dynamic between Washington’s economic caution and Israel’s military pressure is likely to shape the next phase of the conflict. *⃣ WHAT CHANGED IN THE LAST 48 HOURS Three developments stand out: ➡️First, the Gulf economic front is becoming central to the war. Drone incidents near Dubai and Fujairah show that the conflict is now directly touching regional infrastructure and global energy flows. ➡️Second, Israel continues to widen the battlefield rather than narrow it. Deep strikes inside Iran and expanded operations in Lebanon suggest the campaign is still in a degradation phase. ➡️Third, the United States is beginning to shift toward coalition management of the conflict, particularly around Hormuz, while trying to prevent the war from triggering a global energy crisis. In short, the war is evolving from a direct military confrontation into a broader struggle over regional stability, energy flows, and long term strategic balance in the Middle East.show more

Why is the market selling off today? (Save this).... The semi selloff right now is being driven by a mix of macro fear, profit taking and investors questioning how quickly all of this AI spending will actually pay off, not because demand for AI infrastructure suddenly disappeared. The market is basically trading this chain reaction, the ongoing US Iran escalation pushes oil higher, higher oil keeps inflation elevated, sticky inflation keeps Treasury yields high and that increases the risk of the Fed staying hawkish or even hiking again. That is a terrible setup for semis because many of these companies are valued on the massive earnings investors expect them to generate years from now. When yields rise, those future earnings become worth less today which is why the highest multiple AI and semiconductor names usually get hit first. (I don't think there will be a hike this year). This is also why everything is moving together right now. Nvidia, Micron, Nebius, SanDisk, Broadcom and Applied Optoelectronics are all completely different businesses, but institutions are not separating memory, networking, optics, compute and cloud infrastructure at the moment. They are reducing exposure to the entire AI trade, taking profits in the names that have already run the most and moving into a more defensive position potentially ahead of the Fed. There is also growing pressure around hyperscaler capex. Microsoft, Meta, Amazon and Google are still spending enormous amounts on GPUs, data centers, networking and power but the market is starting to ask when all of that spending will actually turn into revenue and free cash flow. Investors are no longer satisfied with hearing that AI capex is growing. They want proof that the returns are arriving fast enough to justify the valuations already priced into the entire AI ecosystem. That creates a weird situation where hyperscaler capex can continue rising while semiconductor stocks still fall. The market is not asking whether AI spending is growing anymore but rather asking whether it is growing fast enough to beat the expectations already baked into these stocks. Crowded positioning is another major factor. Semis and AI infrastructure stocks have been some of the biggest winners in the market so institutions are sitting on huge profits and many funds own the exact same names. When macro risk increases, investors usually sell the most liquid winners first. That does not mean demand for memory, optics or custom chips suddenly collapsed but rather means investors are locking in gains and reducing risk. Tariffs add another layer because even when they are not directly placed on chips, they can still raise the cost of servers, electrical equipment, cooling systems, construction materials and the overall data center buildout. That makes AI infrastructure more expensive while also adding another source of inflation. Then you have Jensen Huang’s letter to the White House this morning about open weight AI models, which I think is one of the most important long term developments here. Nvidia, Meta, Microsoft, Palantir and several other companies are pushing Washington not to place broad restrictions on open weight AI. OpenAI and Anthropic were notably absent because open models are much more of a threat to their business models. OpenAI and Anthropic benefit from a world where a few closed frontier labs control the best models and companies have to pay them through subscriptions and APIs. Open weight models weaken that advantage because businesses can download a model, customize it for their own use and run it on their own infrastructure or through a neocloud. That is bad for OpenAI and Anthropic because it puts pressure on pricing, margins and the idea that they will control the intelligence layer of the economy but it is very good for the AI ecosystem as a whole over the long run. But the question is what does this mean for all the OpenAI and Anthropic commitments? so that's adding to the fear as well. But with that being said open models make AI cheaper and more accessible. Instead of AI being controlled by a few giant labs, thousands of startups, universities, governments and regular businesses can deploy models themselves. That spreads AI adoption across the entire economy and creates a much larger infrastructure opportunity and that is exactly why Jensen cares. Nvidia does not need OpenAI or Anthropic to win. Nvidia just needs more people using AI. Whether the model comes from OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, Mistral, Kimi or some startup nobody has heard of yet, it still needs GPUs, memory, networking, data centers and electricity. So open weight AI could actually weaken the model companies while making the infrastructure layer much bigger. More open models mean more companies running inference. More inference means more GPUs. More GPUs mean more HBM, optical transceivers, switches, data centers and power. That is bullish for Nvidia Nebius, Micron, Broadcom , Marvell and Applied Optoelectronics over the long run. So my take is that the current semi selloff is being driven mostly by macro uncertainty, higher oil, rising yields, Fed fears, tariffs, crowded positioning and questions around the return on hyperscaler capex. The underlying AI infrastructure thesis has not suddenly broken. We are not broadly seeing hyperscalers cancel GPU orders, slash capex, abandon data center projects or report that AI demand has collapsed. What has changed is the valuation investors are willing to pay while the macro environment remains unstable. The market is lowering the price it is willing to pay for semiconductor growth but is not necessarily saying that growth is gone. And while Jensen’s open weight push may be bad for OpenAI and Anthropic, it could be one of the best things possible for the AI ecosystem over the long run because it creates more models, more developers, more competition and ultimately much more demand for the infrastructure underneath all of it. Nothing about the AI thesis has changed for me, so I will be going shopping and taking advantage of this sale while the market is selling everything together. 🚨 OPERATIONAL UPDATE: ISRAEL U.S. WAR WITH THE ISLAMIC... REPUBLIC - Reporting Window: Last 24 Hours ✳️The war is entering its final phase, but the battlefield is becoming more dangerous, not less. For the first time since the conflict began, the United States has signaled that its objectives against Iran have largely been achieved and that military operations could conclude within 2 to 3 weeks. At the same time, the operational picture tells a more complex story. Strikes inside Iran are intensifying, not slowing. Iran’s responses are becoming less concentrated but more geographically expansive. And across the region, the risk of broader escalation remains very real. This is no longer an open-ended war. It is a race between final military objectives and the risk of wider regional destabilization. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🏁 POLITICAL ENDGAME SIGNAL EMERGES President Donald Trump stated that the war could end within weeks, indicating that core objectives have been achieved, including the degradation of Iran’s strategic capabilities and the disruption of its leadership structure. He also signaled that the United States does not intend to remain indefinitely engaged, suggesting that responsibility for securing critical global nfrastructure, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, may shift to regional and international stakeholders. At the same time, tensions with NATO allies are surfacing. Frustration over limited allied participation in the war has raised the possibility of a broader fracture within the Western alliance structure. Parallel reporting indicates that elements within Iran are signaling openness to a ceasefire framework, particularly if maritime access through Hormuz is restored. Taken together, this marks a clear transition: the war now has a defined political end state, even as military operations continue. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ✈️ FINAL PHASE STRIKE CAMPAIGN INSIDE IRAN The intensity of strikes over the past 24 hours reflects what appears to be end-stage shaping operations. Israeli and US-aligned strikes targeted a wide range of sites across Iran, including weapons production facilities, research and development centers, and critical infrastructure nodes tied to the regime’s military capabilities. Tehran remains a central focus. Approximately twenty military-industrial sites were struck, along with infrastructure at Mehrabad Airport and locations linked to Basij coordination. A senior Quds Force engineering figure, Mahdi Vafaei, was eliminated in a precision strike. His role in developing underground weapons infrastructure across Lebanon and Syria made him a key long-term asset for Iran’s regional military network. Additional strikes hit industrial targets, including steel production facilities and a site identified as supporting materials linked to Iran’s chemical weapons development pipeline. This is not a campaign aimed at symbolic damage. It is a systematic effort to dismantle Iran’s ability to produce, coordinate, and sustain war over time. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎯 IRANIAN RESPONSE AND CIVILIAN IMPACT Iran continues to launch missiles toward Israel, but at a reduced scale compared to earlier phases of the war. Limited salvos were recorded over the past 24 hours, causing injuries and localized damage. One of the most significant developments was the reported use of cluster munitions in central Israel, critically injuring a child and causing multiple casualties. At the same time, Iran appears to be adapting operationally. Rather than attempting large-scale saturation attacks, it is increasingly relying on smaller strikes, drones, and diversified targeting strategies. This does not indicate de-escalation. It reflects an effort to remain operational under sustained pressure. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌍 REGIONAL EXPANSION: THE WAR SPREADS While direct attacks on Israel have become more limited in scale, Iran is expanding the conflict across the region. In the Gulf, infrastructure in Kuwait and Bahrain was struck, including fuel storage facilities at Kuwait International Airport. Fires and damage were reported, adding to a growing pattern of attacks on energy and logistical nodes. A commercial tanker was also struck near Qatar, further extending the conflict into maritime space. These developments mark a continued shift where Iran is targeting not just Israel, but the broader economic and energy architecture of the region. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🚢 THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ The strategic center of gravity in this war is now unmistakable. The Strait of Hormuz remains contested, with ongoing disruption to global shipping and energy flows. The United States is actively evaluating options to reopen and secure the waterway, including potential direct military action against Iranian coastal capabilities. At the same time, Gulf states, particularly the UAE, are pushing for a coordinated military effort to ensure the strait is reopened. However, regional positioning remains complex, with some actors balancing public caution and private pressure. Notably, the United States has signaled that it may not take long-term responsibility for securing Hormuz, instead shifting that burden to global stakeholders. The implication is clear: control of Hormuz will determine not only the outcome of the war, but its aftermath. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔥 NORTHERN AND PROXY FRONTS Iran’s proxy network remains active, but increasingly strained. In Lebanon, Israeli strikes continue to target Hezbollah leadership and infrastructure, including the reported elimination of a senior commander in Beirut. Rocket fire persists, but Israeli operations are steadily degrading launch capabilities. In Yemen, the Houthis have formally entered the fight against Israel and are likely contributing to the expanding pattern of regional attacks, including those affecting Gulf infrastructure. Across Iraq and Syria, Iranian-aligned militias remain engaged, while underlying instability continues to create openings for additional actors. This is now a multi-front conflict, but one in which Iran’s network is under pressure across every axis. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🧠 WARFARE EVOLUTION A critical and often overlooked development is the role of advanced targeting systems. Israel is employing AI-assisted capabilities to identify threats, prioritize targets, and synchronize strikes across multiple theaters in near real time. This has significantly compressed the operational cycle, allowing for rapid follow-up strikes and reduced recovery time for Iranian forces. The result is a battlefield environment where Iran has less time to act, less time to adapt, and fewer opportunities to rebuild degraded capabilities. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📊 THE BIG PICTURE The trajectory of the war is now coming into focus. The United States and Israel are executing a campaign designed to dismantle Iran’s ability to function as a coherent military actor. Iran, in response, is expanding the conflict geographically in an attempt to impose broader costs. At the same time, political signals indicate that the war is approaching a defined end state. Markets are already reacting to this expectation, with oil prices declining and global indices rising on the assumption that the conflict may soon conclude. However, the final phase carries its own risks. As Iran’s conventional capabilities degrade, its reliance on asymmetric and regional tactics is increasing. The decisive question is no longer how the war is fought day to day. It is whether the final objectives can be secured before broader escalation overtakes them. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📘 BOOK RECOMMENDATION If you want a deeper understanding of the history, narratives, and strategic realities behind this conflict: Contested Land, Uncontested Truth This book breaks down the ideological, geopolitical, and historical forces that led directly to moments like this, with clarity and evidence. 👉 If you found this report valuable, share it. 🔊Church: ANOTHER PROPHETIC WEEK!! The window of “PEACE AND... SAFETY” that God has been warning us about is beginning to crack open!!! While we were watching missiles fly over Iran, something historic happened — Lebanon may recognize Israel as a nation, establishing borders that have never truly been settled before. Hezbollah — the most powerful Iranian proxy — is taking its first step toward “peace and safety” in the region!! GOD IS CLOSING THE DOOR ON THE GENTILE AGE AND IS ABOUT TO OPEN THE DOOR TO ISRAEL’S FINAL CHAPTER! KEEP LOOKING UP!! First, a quick recap of what took place this past week: ⏳ DAY 18 OF THE WAR: The bow is still breaking. Iran's Intelligence Minister was killed this week — another prince falling — Jeremiah 49:38 continuing to unfold. Trump called Iran "totally decapitated," accidentally using the exact language of a prophecy written 2,600 years ago. The U.S. dropped 5,000-pound deep-penetrator bombs on Iranian missile sites along the Strait of Hormuz — breaking the very systems Iran would use to threaten or shut the strait. Oil is above $100. Iran is still being helped by Russia. Turkey is forging closer ties with Iran and Russia. The hook in Ezekiel 38 is strengthening, world alliances are forming, and the sequence continues exactly as Scripture described. 🛎️ But check this out! This week, as we were watching missiles fly over Tehran, something quiet was happening on Israel’s northern border — one of the most prophetically significant developments of this war so far. France stepped in with a proposal to end the war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. At first glance, it sounds like just another Middle East peace plan…It’s not! Watch these details: 👉🏼 Lebanon would formally recognize Israel — for the very first time since 1948! That would end a 77-year state of war, a conflict that has existed since Israel was founded. 👉🏼 Hezbollah would stop attacks and be disarmed — or at the very least, the Lebanese government would take full control and prevent any attacks from its territory. The Lebanese army would move south of the Litani River —north of Israel’s border, which has served as a dividing line between Israel and Hezbollah. 👉🏼 UN Resolution 1701 would finally be enforced — removing Hezbollah’s military presence from southern Lebanon, something that was supposed to happen after 2006… but never did. 👉🏼 Permanent, internationally recognized borders — replacing lines that have remained disputed since 1948 — would be finalized by the end of 2026. (A very interesting timeframe if the Tribulation begins in the fall with the “confirming of the covenant”.) 👉🏼 France offered to host direct talks in Paris — the first real negotiations between Israel and Lebanon in decades. 👍🏼French President Emmanuel Macron said Lebanese leadership — President Joseph Aoun, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and Speaker Nabih Berri — are open to it. Lebanon has already accepted this framework as a starting point for talks, seeking to avoid further destruction and reduce Iran and Hezbollah’s grip on the country. Let me say this again: 1️⃣Lebanon — offering direct talks with Israel for the first time in decades. 2️⃣Hezbollah — the most powerful proxy army Iran built — being disarmed and pushed out. A 77-year state of war coming to an end, basically since Israel became a nation. 3️⃣Permanent borders being drawn on Israel’s northern edge. This isn’t just a line — that border has never been truly settled. Now it’s being defined. This is the difference between a war line and a real border since they became a nation. But here’s where it gets a bit intense: ❌Israel said no. Israel’s leadership responded: “talks aren’t enough. You can’t negotiate while rockets are still coming.” So Israel is not settling for dialogue — it is pushing for dismantling. Hezbollah’s weapons must be seized, its rocket and drone systems destroyed, and its military power completely removed. Why is this a big deal then? ✅Why? Because Lebanon is finally moving toward peace after 77 years —the path is being set! The conversation has shifted from “Should Israel exist?” to “What conditions are required for peace?” Peace is on its way, and that’s a completely different reality than before! A historical moment!! 🔴 FALSE PEACE — PAY ATTENTION This proposal is not perfect. Lebanon’s recognition is still conditional. Hezbollah still has influence. Full normalization is not guaranteed. And that’s exactly the point. ☮️Ezekiel 38:11 does not require perfect peace — it requires false peace. False peace by definition looks real — until it is not. Just convincing enough for Israel to lower its guard. What’s being built right now — imperfect as it is — is the exact kind of framework that eventually gets confirmed. 📖 “He shall confirm a covenant with many for one week…” Daniel 9:27 The Antichrist doesn’t create peace from nothing. He steps into what’s already forming — and seals it. 💥This proposal is the removal of one of the big guns that have been pointed at Israel since it became a nation, and it’s happening at the same time Iran/the bow of Elam is being broken. 🔥The ring of fire around Israel is being taken apart — piece by piece — all at once! This is the real peace window that Scripture is talking about!! 📖 “A peaceful people who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates.” Ezekiel 38:11 That condition — a false sense of peace and security — is being built right now out of the rubble of this war. And to understand why that matters so deeply… you have to see the structure God laid out in Ezekiel. 🔑 WHY 1948 MATTERS SO MUCH This is not just a diplomatic milestone. This is a prophetic one. 🗓️1948 — the year the dry bones came together. The year Israel was brought back into the land and reborn as a nation against all odds — “bone to bone,” exactly as prophesied in Ezekiel 37, the very chapter God placed right before Ezekiel 38. (Keep this in mind) ⚔️And on that very same day — the Arab world declared war. Lebanon among them. A state of war that has lasted 77 years! Through generations, through multiple conflicts, through the rise and fall of empires — has never formally ended. Until possibly now! (In Israel's eyes) 📖“So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over…” Ezekiel 37:7–8 📖“…These bones are the whole house of Israel… ‘Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.’” Ezekiel 37:11–12 👉🏼The year the dry bones came together — 1948 — is the same year the state of war with Lebanon began. And the year the bow of Elam is being broken — 2026 — may be the same year that state of war formally ends. GOD IS CLOSING THE 1948 LOOP!! 🔑 THE RING OF FIRE IS GOING OUT — AND THE WINDOW IS OPENING For anyone following these posts — you know that Ezekiel 38 requires one specific condition before the Gog coalition can move against Israel: 📖 "A peaceful people who dwell safely — all of them dwelling without walls and having neither bars nor gates." — Ezekiel 38:11 Israel dwelling in false peace. Unwalled villages. No bars and no gates. A nation that feels genuinely secure for the first time in its modern history. Now think about what has surrounded Israel like a ring of fire for decades: 👉🏼South — Hamas in Gaza ✅ Dismantled 👉🏼East — Iranian backed Iraqi militias ✅ Severely weakened 👉🏼Southeast — Houthis in Yemen ✅ Degraded by US strikes 👉🏼North — Hezbollah in Lebanon ⏳ Being dismantled right now 👉🏼East — Iran's nuclear program and missile arsenal ✅ Being dismantled right now — Day 18 🔥Every single component of that ring is being removed simultaneously. The French proposal is not just a peace deal. It is the removal of the last and most dangerous piece of that ring — Hezbollah on Israel's northern border. The most sophisticated weapons. The most experienced fighters. Literally on Israel's doorstep to the north. ⭕When that ring is fully gone — Israel can dwell in unwalled villages. In false peace. Exactly as Ezekiel 38:11 requires. Which means that window is opening right now! But to understand how close that makes the Rapture — we need to see what God placed one chapter before Ezekiel 38. Let’s go back to Ezekiel 37. 🦴God shows Ezekiel a valley of dry bones — scattered, dead, hopeless. Then He breathes life into them. Bone comes to bone. Flesh forms. Skin covers. And then — the breath of God enters — and they stand as an exceedingly great army. 👉🏼God is showing us Israel’s national restoration here. The bones came together in 1948. The flesh has been forming over 77 years. The breath is coming during the Tribulation when they accept Jesus and the Holy Spirit is poured out on them. Then, in the final stage, they will stand up as an army at the Second Coming. But look at the specific language God used: 📖 "I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord when I have opened your graves O My people and brought you up from your graves." Ezekiel 37:12-13 Now read this: 📖 "The dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air." 1 Thess 4:16-17 Look at the parallel: 👉🏼"I will open your graves"→ "the dead in Christ will rise first" 👉🏼"cause you to come up”→ "caught up" 👉🏼"bring you up from your graves" → "meet the Lord in the air" God did not place that language in Ezekiel 37 accidentally! 💡The chapter immediately before the Gog invasion contains resurrection language that mirrors the Rapture with great precision. God is pointing to two things simultaneously — Israel's future national restoration AND the departure of the Church that precedes it. 🔁The beginning of Israel's spiritual awakening on earth IS THE CHURCH'S END ON EARTH! God told us this here in Romans 11:25-26: 📖 "Blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be SAVED" 👉🏼The fullness of the Gentiles — the completion of the Church — is what lifts the partial blindness from Israel. The Church completing its mission and departing is part of what opens Israel's eyes. The Church leaving and Israel awakening are not two separate events happening at different times. They are two sides of the same prophetic hinge. 🚪When God CLOSES the door on the Gentile age — THEN He OPENS the door on Israel's final chapter. Same moment, same sovereign hand and same hinge! (This is one of the strongest reasons I believe Ezekiel 38 happens during the Tribulation — after the Rapture — because Ezekiel 37's resurrection picture has to come first.) Now let's connect it all: 🔗Ezekiel 38 requires Israel to dwell in unwalled villages in false peace. That requires Jeremiah 49’s bow to be broken first. That requires the ring of fire — Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iran’s missiles — to be removed. We are watching every single component of that ring being removed simultaneously right now. The Church does not wait for peace to be fully brokered —only for it to begin to assemble, just as it is happening now! The peace window is assembling from the rubble of this war! 📖“For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.” 1 Thes 5:3 THE PROPHETIC SEQUENCE ✅Hamas dismantled: Complete ✅Houthis degraded: Largely complete ✅Iran's nuclear program obliterated: Day 18 and counting ⏳Hezbollah being dismantled: French proposal this week ⏳Lebanon recognizing Israel: Framework accepted — developing ⏳Permanent northern border: Target end of 2026 ✅Peace window opening: RIGHT NOW ⏳Abraham Accords expansion: Assembling 🔜RAPTURE : Imminent — at any moment but BEFORE Antichrist!! ➡️Antichrist confirms covenant: Year 1 Tribulation ➡️Israel in full false peace: Early Tribulation ➡️Ezekiel 38 — Gog invades: Early Tribulation ➡️God destroys Gog supernaturally: Early Tribulation ➡️Abomination of Desolation: Year 3.5 ➡️Second Coming: Year 7 🔊 Church: Lebanon seeking peace with Israel after 77 years since Israel became a nation is the first step toward peace (false peace) in the Middle East! Permanent borders are being drawn. The most powerful proxy is being removed as we watch the bow of Elam (Iran) being broken and the ring of fire being quenched. We are not approaching the peace window — WE ARE IN IT!! We will see Israel living in “unwalled villages” from heaven. How close are we to the Rapture?? Ezekiel 37 comes before Ezekiel 38. The resurrection comes before the invasion. The Church goes home before the Tribulation begins!! The Gentile age is ending, and the door for Israel is about to open! Jesus told us we would see the Day approaching — and we clearly are!!! KEEP PRAYING, KEEP PREACHING THE GOSPEL, AND KEEP LOOKING UP!! JESUS IS AT THE DOOR!! Maranatha🤍 — Come Lord Jesus Come!!!show more

vPay offshore accounts and physical cards have been getting... field-tested IRL for a while now, and we’ll open them to the public as soon as we’re fully confident in the UX. But before offshore accounts go public, I want to address a few points: Some might point out that - vPay isn’t the first crypto card - vPay doesn’t have the lowest fees - So why choose vPay instead of the Coinbase 🛡️ Card or MetaMask 🦊 Card or KAST or or Tria, or any of the other big names? Now to address: Privacy | The biggest differentiator that sets vPay completely apart is Private Banking. The majority of the crypto card providers on the market use Rain infra. Even if you’ve never heard of them, that's what your favorite "NeoBank" uses. And due to their legal jurisdictions, they will report your finances to authorities since they're CRS and FACTA compliant. We are not. As an OmniBank, we work with different banking partners, and although KYC is required to use our services, our offshore banks are non-CRS and non-FACTA. Tax reporting is the responsibility and choice of the user. Offshore Accounts vs Physical Cards | I've tried to highlight this a few times so far. vPay has 3 offerings on the banking side of things. Virtual cards - live now. Physical cards - coming Q1 2026. The first two are similar to what everyone else on the market offers. The offshore accounts are not. which are coming this week. They allow unlimited spending, ATM withdrawals, and international SWIFT transfers, which very few “Neobanks” provide. Offshore accounts are coming this week. Self-Custody | We're not 100% non-custodial yet, as that is near impossible at the moment but it's something we're working towards. And we try to keep the users' self-custodial wallets in the loop as much as possible for maximum control. Those who have tried the vPay app know that almost every move asks for permission from their wallet, and we always encourage users to keep their funds in their non-custodial wallets until the very last moment, since our top-ups usually only take seconds to a minute to process. Fees | All of the card providers mentioned above either raised millions from VCs or in presales or have a huge org backing them. We have neither. vPay was self-funded and community-owned since day 1, launched under Virtuals Protocol Genesis V1 launch model, an objectively bad launch model and hugely unfavorable toward project teams. So even though vPay has been generating revenue and profitable from early on, we do not have the luxury of offering 0% fees yet, since they're mostly a marketing gimmick paid for by millions in VC money and not a sustainable business model for early-stage companies. What we're working towards instead, is true co-ownership of vPay and revenue-share with users. OmniBank vs NeoBank | I’m not a fan of the term “NeoBank.” It implies just a bank, but make it crypto. That’s not vPay. Our goals have always been clear: A) Anything and everything users need to do with their money and assets, both Web2 and Web3, all in one hub. Powered by a constellation of partner agents. The cards and the bank accounts are just the foundation. B) To eventually build independent financial rails for crypto and decouple from the chokehold of Visa/Mastercard. vLink is the first step toward this vision. This turned out to be a rather long tweet, but context matters. Questions and feedback welcome in replies or DMs. See you all with your vPay vCards very soon.show more

Ronan Farrow just did to Sam Altman what he... did to Harvey Weinstein... The New Yorker dropped an 18-month investigation this morning based on 100+ interviews and a stack of internal documents that were never supposed to leave OpenAI. Ilya's secret memos, Dario Amodei's private journal. Board communications, the full picture of who Sam Altman is when the cameras are off. And the pattern starts way before OpenAI. At his first startup Loopt, senior employees went to the board and asked them to fire Sam as CEO. This happened twice, over concerns about leadership and transparency. He left, joined Y Combinator, and the same thing played out. Partners complained to Paul Graham about Sam's behavior. Graham's private take to colleagues: Sam had been lying to us all the time. Nobody removed him, he kept getting promoted. Eventually he landed the CEO seat at what is now the most consequential AI company in the world. Inside OpenAI, Ilya Sutskever spent months compiling evidence: 70 pages of Slack messages, HR documents, and photos taken on personal phones because employees knew company devices were being monitored. He sent everything to the board as disappearing messages so Sam couldn't make it go away. The very first line of his memo lists Sam's core pattern, and the first word on that list is: Lying Dario Amodei saw the same thing and handled it differently. He kept a private journal for years, over 200 pages, titled "My Experience with OpenAI" with a subheading that said "Private: Do Not Share" After all those pages, his conclusion was one sentence: the problem with OpenAI is Sam himself. He eventually left and built Anthropic. 2 of the smartest people in AI independently reached the same verdict. Neither could stop what was happening. The superalignment team, the group responsible for making sure AI doesn't go off the rails, was promised 20% of OpenAI's compute. 4 people who worked on or with the team told The New Yorker the real number was 1-2%, running on the oldest cluster with the worst hardware. The team got dissolved before finishing its work. Safety was a talking point, not a priority. Sam told the board that a safety panel had approved controversial features in GPT-4. When board member Helen Toner asked for the documentation, it turned out the most sensitive features had never been approved at all. Separately, Microsoft released an early version of ChatGPT in India without completing a required safety review and Sam never mentioned it to the board. When the board finally fired him in November 2023, he texted Satya Nadella directly with his own replacement board lineup. Thrive Capital put its planned $86B investment on hold and signaled it would only close if Sam came back, giving every OpenAI employee a financial reason to support his return. The 2 board members selected to run the "independent investigation" into Sam's conduct were chosen after close conversations with Sam himself. He engineered his own reinstatement and nobody blinked. The New Yorker quotes a board member describing Sam as having two traits you almost never see in the same person: a desperate need to be liked in every interaction, and a near-complete indifference to the consequences of deceiving someone. Multiple sources used the word "sociopathic" without being prompted and without talking to each other. The article also drops a line that might be the best summary of the whole thing. They compare Sam to Steve Jobs and his famous "reality distortion field" then point out that even Jobs never told his customers that if they didn't buy his MP3 player, everyone they loved would die. Sam wrapped that exact pitch in the language of AI safety and rode it to a potential $1T IPO. That IPO is being prepared right now, while OpenAI signs government contracts spanning immigration enforcement, domestic surveillance and autonomous weapons deployed in active war zones. Meanwhile, The Information reports that his own CFO told colleagues she doesn't believe the company is ready to go public in 2026. Farrow is answering questions on Hacker News right now. The full piece is open access. Read it before Sam figures out how to make this disappear tooshow more

What if I told you the Ukrainians tried to... surrender earlier this week? Let's walk through a bizarre chain of events that we all just watched play out in real time - and which nobody seems to have fully grasped the significance of. Down the rabbit hole.⬇️ On Monday - July 21st, 2025 - the Ukrainian authorities moved against the Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), with the SBU raiding their offices. The next day, the Rada - acting at warp speed on direct orders from Zelensky - passed a law stripping both agencies of their independence and placing them under the supervision of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office. It's important to remember that these agencies, as formerly structured, effectively answer to nobody within the Ukrainian government and have considerable powers to investigate and prosecute "corruption" as broadly defined. They are also objectively terrible at their jobs - NABU does not "pay for itself," only recovering a small fraction of what it receives in funding, and Ukraine has only grown more corrupt under its watch. Any observer of the Ukrainian state is quite familiar with the absolutely industrial level of corruption that its elite habitually indulge in and which the war has made so much worse. So clearly there's something else going on. Simply put, these agencies are quite obviously tools through which Western interests - who fully control them through the usual NGO cutouts and deep state connections - exert direct influence on the Ukrainian authorities. NABU and SAPO exist to investigate the "right" corruption to ensure that Ukraine stays in its lane as a Davos proxy Now for the interesting part. At the exact same time that the Ukrainians moved against these Western-cutout "anticorruption" agencies - Tuesday, July 22nd - the Ukrainians and Russians announced a round of snap negotiations to take place the very next day - Wednesday, July 23rd. Delegates would meet in Istanbul on essentially no notice. Here's where the plan seems to have come apart. When Zelensky moved against them, Davos pulled out its usual playbook and huge mob - orders of magnitude larger than any protest against a government that has turned Ukraine into an open-air prison camp and its war of choice that has killed or maimed a disturbingly large portion of the country's population - descended on the Maidan. The only difference from the usual color revolution fare was the NGOs had learned their lesson from Georgia last year and told their footsoldiers to make crude cardboard signs (to a generally uniform specification) so it would look more authentic and spontaneous. As this was happening an avalanche of condemnation poured in from the Western press, with prominent outlets calling for Zelensky's ouster. Front and back-channel diplomatic messages were doubtless far harsher. Meanwhile in Istanbul on Wednesday - quite possibly because the Russians sensed their counterparts would not be able to keep any agreement they made in the face of the pro-Western mob occupying the Maidan, regardless of what they were offering - the negotiations quickly collapsed. The delegations met for only a little over half an hour and very little was agreed to. The next day - Thursday, July 24th - Zelensky folded and ordered the "anti-corruption" agencies restored to their former positions and authorities. So what are we to make of this? Well, lining these two events up, I think that Zelensky tried to make a play against Davos and NATO, and tried to make an offer to Russia - and his plan failed spectacularly. The Davos Regime exerted maximum pressure to yank him back into line, and the Russians seem to have rejected out of hand whatever his delegation was willing to offer and quite possibly walked out then and there. Left with no options, Zelensky capitulated to his sponsors and restored the status quo ante for their "anticorruption" proxies. The end result to all of this will have been to dramatically weaken Zelensky's position given that he made his move and it not only failed but backfired spectacularly. At this point the credentialed media in the West is openly talking about his departure, and the Russians don't seem to take his government seriously at all as a negotiating partner.show more

This is GIFT City. But this post is about... Gurugram. Wide roads. Underground utility tunnels. District cooling. Automated waste collection. Green-certified buildings. More than 1,200 registered entities and $111 billion in banking assets. It is not Shanghai, Shenzhen or Dubai yet. But the direction is visible. Gujarat imagined a city that could compete with global financial centres. Then it started building the infrastructure required for that ambition. Now come to Gurugram. The city credited with contributing around 65% of Haryana’s revenue. Around 25% of the state’s GST collection comes from Gurugram. Last year, it contributed ₹3,875 crore from liquor-zone auctions alone. That was 27% of Haryana’s total. The Bristol Chowk licensing zone alone fetched nearly ₹100 crore. Mr Nayab Singh Saini, what exactly is Gurugram getting in return? Garbage is lying on roads across the city. Gurugram generates around 1,200 tonnes of waste every day. The waste collection system has survived on temporary arrangements since the main contract was terminated in June 2024. Nearly two years later, the city is still floating tenders and searching for a permanent solution. Then come the roads. An MCG survey found more than 2,000 potholes across eight zones. One division alone had 600. Only 387 had been repaired when those numbers were reported. By February 2026, MCG had to announce another drive targeting 5,000 potholes in ten days. We do not have a road-maintenance system. We have pothole-filling announcements after every round of public outrage. Then it rains. In July 2025, 133 mm of overnight rain brought Gurugram to a standstill. Subhash Chowk had around 2.5 feet of water. People remained stuck in traffic until 2 AM. Open manholes disappear under rainwater. Potholes become invisible. Roads turn into accident traps. Then the electricity goes. A resident of DLF Phase 1 reported an eight-hour power cut after a five-minute drizzle. In May 2026, a fault at the Sector 72 substation disrupted eight substations and even affected Rapid Metro operations. This is happening in one of the most expensive corporate and residential districts in India. And money is not the problem. MCG spent ₹1,282 crore out of its ₹1,497 crore expenditure budget by January 2026. But only ₹85 crore had gone towards road construction and ₹240 crore towards sanitation and waste management. So the problem is worse than merely having an unspent budget. Money is being spent. Residents simply cannot see the outcome on the roads outside their homes. We are not asking Haryana to build another GIFT City tomorrow. We are asking for three things. Roads that remain usable after rain. Electricity that does not disappear with the first storm. Garbage that gets collected before every vacant plot becomes a dumping ground. These are not luxury demands. These are the most basic functions of a government. Property prices in Gurugram have reached global-city levels. People are paying ₹5 crore, ₹8 crore and ₹10 crore for apartments. But outside the gates, the roads, drains and electricity systems still feel like they belong to another decade. Gujarat looked at an empty piece of land and imagined a global city. Haryana already has one of India’s strongest economic cities. It does not need to imagine it. It only needs to stop neglecting it. Fix the roads. Fix the power. Pick up the garbage. That is all Gurugram is asking for. Video credit, Reddit: [aamirusiddiqui]show more
