Silk Board 2.0? New Flyover Risks Becoming Next Traffic... Hotspot Traffic management in Bengaluru is becoming increasingly difficult despite big infrastructure projects. The recently opened double-decker flyover was expected to ease congestion, but within days, traffic has already started building up again. This raises a serious concern are we actually solving the problem or just shifting it? For years Silk board Junction, has been a symbol of endless traffic. Now, even with new developments, the situation risks repeating itself. If such congestion continues, future plans like tunnel roads could become even more problematic, with the danger of vehicles getting stuck inside enclosed spaces during peak hours. Bengaluru doesn’t just need bigger projects it needs smarter solutions. Improving public transport, enforcing traffic rules, introducing intelligent signal systems, and promoting staggered office hours can make a real difference. Without proper planning and accountability, even the biggest projects will fail, and new roads will only add to the city’s growing traffic crisis. Karnataka State Police S. After facing endless traffic jams on the city’s roads, now the runway at has started to mirror the same chaos. A long queue of flights was seen lined up one after another, waiting for their turn to take off almost like vehicles stuck at a traffic signal.Passengers onboard even joked and thought it was a “runway traffic jam,” as multiple aircraft were standing still in a line. Brand Bengaluru’ or Off-Road Adventure? Residents Slam Authorities Over... Broken Roads At Hosa Road, near Rayasandra Circle, right in front of Mahaveer Ranches, the condition of the road has been appalling for over a month now. The entire stretch is completely broken, riddled with deep potholes, muddy patches, and craters big enough to swallow a scooter. For residents, office-goers, school buses and even ambulances, this has turned into a daily obstacle course rather than a public road. We keep hearing tall claims about “Brand Bengaluru” and the city’s transformation under the current leadership, yet basic infrastructure like roads continues to remain neglected for weeks at a time. Despite repeated complaints from citizens, no visible action has been taken to repair this stretch or even to provide a temporary fix to prevent further deterioration. It’s understandable that infrastructure projects take time, but leaving a key connecting road in this state for more than a months shows a serious gap between promises and ground reality. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and the civic authorities often talk about turning Bengaluru into a world-class city perhaps they could start by ensuring at least a drivable road for its taxpayers. “Brand Bengaluru,” really? If this is what branding looks like, maybe we should start advertising it as an off-road adventure park or a free test track for SUVs. DGP KARNATAKA S. The traffic situation in Bengaluru has reached a point... that is nothing short of insane. It seems almost as if traffic jams are being created humanly, simply due to ignorance and lack of traffic sense. One recurring problem is the behavior of the 500CA buses near Jeevika Hospital, where frequent U-turns disrupt the flow of traffic, causing unnecessary congestion on an already busy stretch. A practical solution would be to stop these buses from making U-turns at Jeevika Hospital and instead divert them via the service road onto the Marathahalli bridge, continuing towards Kunhalli. Such a small change in traffic management could significantly reduce jams, improve commuter experience, and make daily travel less stressful for thousands of motorists. It’s high time that small yet effective measures like this are implemented to restore some sanity to Bengaluru’s roads. Karnataka State Police S. A Serious Safety Concern Regarding Ongoing Metro Construction Work... A metal sheet fell onto a busy road from an under-construction metro site. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the car driver managed to brake in time. But what if a biker had been passing by at that exact moment? The consequences could have been much more serious. This incident highlights the need for strict safety measures at construction sites, including proper securing of materials, barricading, and regular safety inspections. We should not wait for an accident or loss of life before taking action.Development is important, but public safety must come first. Karnataka State Police S. Peak Bengaluru moment! In a scene straight out of... a comedy sketch, a pillion rider near Roopena Agrahara was spotted trying to escape a traffic challan by covering his head with wait for it a frying pan instead of a helmet.Yes, a frying pan. Because apparently, when life gives you potholes, you grab cookware. The sight left onlookers and traffic cops equally stunned, as the rider confidently balanced his kitchen utensil like it was an ISI-certified helmet. But let’s be real this isn’t just funny, it’s frightening.A frying pan can flip an omelette, not save a skull. Helmets aren’t optional fashion accessories or props for viral reels they’re lifesavers. So, to every creative soul out there: skip the jugaad, wear a helmet. Because the only thing tougher than Bengaluru traffic… is your head after it hits the road. Ikkada road undali kada saar...! This is Bengaluru’s Silk... Board after last night’s heavy rain. The entire stretch turned into what looked more like a swimming pool than one of the city’s busiest junctions. Even the newly constructed metro station area was completely waterlogged, raising serious concerns about Bengaluru’s infrastructure and drainage planning. Vehicles were struggling to move through the flooded roads while commuters were left stranded in traffic chaos. Despite massive development projects and ongoing metro construction, the city continues to face the same flooding issues every monsoon. Roads disappearing under water has now become a regular scene in Bengaluru whenever heavy rain hits the city. It is shocking to see such severe waterlogging around a newly built metro corridor that was supposed to improve urban mobility and infrastructure. Citizens are once again questioning how crores are being spent on development while basic drainage problems remain unsolved. Silk Board, already infamous for traffic congestion, now turns into a swimming pool every time it rains heavily.
