✨ I've brought back from the dead It was... my first visual AI project in 2022, and it's this project that generated random ArchDaily-style architecture designs that made me realize AI image models could do interior design That led me to make which then led me to finetune my first interior design model which then for fun I uploaded my own photos too, which led me to make and then pivoted that in to So this project has a special place for me It was still alive but wasn't generating new designs anymore because it ran on Stable Diffusion 1.5 which was outdated and everything stopped working about a year ago I've now migrated it to its own Hetzner VPS now, which means I can run Claude Code on the server with it, and cleaned it up and upgraded it to the latest AI image models (including Nano Banana Pro) It now generates about 12 new designs every day again, and you can up or downvote the ones you like or don't like!show more

We released physics-intern: a simple harness for science problems!... It gets models like Gemini 3.1 Pro to go from 17.7 -> 31.4, thus beating GPT 5.5 Pro. The physics-intern harness can wrap any model and via dedicated subagent boost the performance of the vanilla reasoning models. While I think more and more of these harness capability gains will be absorbed into the models (like prompting tricks disappeared over time) there is a lot to be gained right now by building good scaffolds for those models and integrating tools well. Interestingly, the exception we found that GPT 5.5 Pro actually didn't benefit from the physics-intern harness! Claude Code's effort parameter is something you need to... keep in mind before starting any task It's not just about picking the right model anymore (Haiku, Sonnet, Opus). Now you also need to think about which effort level to use before each task. AI has had exactly two scaling axes that worked... so far, and the second one is starting to look finite too the first one was pretraining: with scaling parameters and data, we got world knowledge (i.e. ChatGPT had read enough to know things), but it started saturating a while ago the second one was RL, and people had been doing RL the whole time before that: RLHF is RL but it never scaled far because it was trying to control the exact output, which tokens come out, how the text reads, but you can only push that so far before you’re just polishing RLVR dropped that constraint: giving the model a task, then checking whether the final answer is right, and ignoring everything in between -- so the model does whatever it wants in the middle and only the endpoint gets graded, and that’s much closer to actual RL and it’s what bought us planning and reasoning (arguably, tool use sits around 2.5 on this list -- while useful, it's not a different kind of thing) so one axis gave knowledge, the other gave reasoning, and both of them are one model working alone the next axis is how many models you can get working on the same problem, which is a different kind of axis than the previous two we know that multi-agent RL has always been the harder problem: I spent years in that literature and the gap between single-agent and multi-agent is definitely not incremental -- it’s a whole different class of difficulty! which is also why the derivatives are steep at the start, nobody has picked the easy wins yet... and the thing that gates this multi-agent coordination is communication: models can only coordinate as well as they can exchange information, and right now they do that by writing sentences to each other imagine what could we possibly achieve if we properly open that third axis development by letting models to exchange information in their native "language" without loosing any computational data that they produce during inferenceshow more

AI It's hard to explain how impressive this is because of the speed that xAI got itself from literally nothing to the top of the leaderboards Six months ago Grok's video model was a joke, it wasn't even close to any of the video models out there, it looked cartoony and wasn't there and nobody took it seriously Now it's here and it's instantly the #1 video model out there now, it shot above Kling (which I used before on Photo AI and usually my favorite) and above Runway Gen 4.5 which was just launched 6 days ago! Mmore importantly it's now above xAI's biggest competitors' models: Google's Veo 3 and OpenAI's Sora 2 Being the best video model doesn't mean it's flawless: video is incredibly hard and actually because it looks so realistic now when it does make a mistakes it's even funnier One thing I noticed is that it still has a hard time with is voice, it does it well for a majority of the video but then slips up and produces unintelligible blabbering (which is really funny to hear) in both English (video 1: "it's where I find my naim", what's a "naim"?), and tested it in Portuguese too (video 3 at the end is unintelligible Portuguese I believe) In many ways Grok Imagine Video also reminds me of Sora, it has that weird but funny Sora conversation style But guys it's REALLY really really really close to getting perfect, we're so close to having full video productions being to be able done in AI, actually you already can if you just cut out the bad parts already Very exciting and I'm grateful I can experience thisshow more

My friend @saschaCodes is traveling in 🇨🇳 China right... now Videos here are in Lijiang in Yunnan province which is in the south and borders on Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam, so very close to SEA! I always see Americans and Europeans talk about Asia and then only visit Japan, which is nice but there's so much more to Asia and barely anyone these days visits China anymore China is in many ways a lot like Japan, with cute little walkable traditional villages, and then these massive neon-lit mega cities with the highest speed trains in the world and extreme convenience just like in other Asian cities like Bangkok Anything you hear these days about China is highly politicized, which is sad because it's an amazing country to visit and the people are some of the friendliest I've ever met China has 8 entirely different regional cuisines, my fav being Sichuan, which is spicy and famous for the hotpot And using their high speed train (going 300-400km/h) you can essentially travel the entire country now with ease Obviously the politics is another thing but not everything has to always be about politics, and more foreigners visiting China would long term actually help their politics Politics keeps people apart while travel brings people together I thinkshow more
