Just tried something cool on my own app. I... let my app generate a workout for me using the new beta mode… and it actually built a solid session based on my goals. The idea is simple.. instead of guessing what to train, you hit generate and the app builds the workout for you. Still early days but I’m keen for people to test it and tell me what you think. This has been a weird birthday for me because I have outlived my mother and my father knew it’s a very odd feeling and I appreciate all the love y’all showed me today. I made this video last night when I found this picture of me at the age of six. On my 73rd birthday, I keep looking at this little girl and wondering what she would think if she could see the life waiting ahead of her. The heartbreak. The survival. The laughter that came back anyway. The strength she never knew she’d need. Album is out, I’ve waited so long to share... these last few years of my life with you The first song was written a little over two years ago at a really low point in my life. I had absolutely no idea what this album would sound like or if I had the energy to write it at all. The last song was written in the fall of 2025 with the most amazing team by my side and a love for music I haven’t felt since before everything all popped off for the first time. I think when you dedicate your life to something you can lose yourself in the day to day stuff and forget why you chose it to begin with. I love telling stories and sharing myself with you. I love music and how it’s allowed me to meet the most interesting people and see the most wonderful things in our world. Always be curious and never stop learning. Open yourself up to new people and experiences as much as you can. Talk to everyone and never assume anything. In a way this feels like the first time ive ever released music though that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Thank you to the fans who have been around since the beginning, or since the ride era finished and I had to take a little time to figure out what was next, or those of you who have found me because of this new stuff. I love the shit out of you. Thank you. The past year has seen me have a renaissance,... in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.show more
