Solidbot is an offline programming software we are writing... for Solidworks. SolidBot figures out how the arm has to bend (IK), checks which solution is sane (Jacobian), then places every casting where math says it belongs (FK) — inside the SOLIDWORKS cell you already designed. We have welding pretty far developed, coordinated motion, multi axis control, multi groups, weave, touch sense, seam track are all working. We are working on material handling as well - pick and place, palletize and depalletizing, etc. Material removal, cutting, grinding on the horizon. Robot agnostic. At present most of the blog DSA sites have lengthy articles which you read via scrolling. It looks daunting when you start with it. At TakeUforward, we are trying to change this, and help out users with an easier way to navigate and read. We want the logic to be something as you can see in the video.. the design is just a rough one, and is no where close to what we want it to be. The typical article will have problem statement, examples, followed by this sticky bar, which helps us to navigate, and ease out reading.. You can feel free to suggest more changes we can do, or some design recommendations. Friends from Europe are texting and calling me about the horrendous situation in Amsterdam. In the night of November 7 in Amsterdam there were widespread and terrible raids on Jewish people. After the soccer game Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv, large groups of radical moslims violently attacked Jews, injured them, ran over them with cars… 💔 How is this possible? Why did it take the police so long to get there ? Even on European soil we fail to protect human dignity. Is this what we have become ? It's just terrible! Revolting! Imagine you are Jewish. And you know this: as soon as you walk out of your house to go running, go grocery shopping, go to school or to the synagogue, this can happen to you. How would you feel? I spoke about this situation of terrible discriminations this week in parliament. Worrying about antisemitism is not an exaggeration. Fighting it is our responsibility. The Dutch local government has failed. My thoughts are with the victims. I am furious with the Dutch local government. This is what we have become. AI has had exactly two scaling axes that worked... so far, and the second one is starting to look finite too the first one was pretraining: with scaling parameters and data, we got world knowledge (i.e. ChatGPT had read enough to know things), but it started saturating a while ago the second one was RL, and people had been doing RL the whole time before that: RLHF is RL but it never scaled far because it was trying to control the exact output, which tokens come out, how the text reads, but you can only push that so far before you’re just polishing RLVR dropped that constraint: giving the model a task, then checking whether the final answer is right, and ignoring everything in between -- so the model does whatever it wants in the middle and only the endpoint gets graded, and that’s much closer to actual RL and it’s what bought us planning and reasoning (arguably, tool use sits around 2.5 on this list -- while useful, it's not a different kind of thing) so one axis gave knowledge, the other gave reasoning, and both of them are one model working alone the next axis is how many models you can get working on the same problem, which is a different kind of axis than the previous two we know that multi-agent RL has always been the harder problem: I spent years in that literature and the gap between single-agent and multi-agent is definitely not incremental -- it’s a whole different class of difficulty! which is also why the derivatives are steep at the start, nobody has picked the easy wins yet... and the thing that gates this multi-agent coordination is communication: models can only coordinate as well as they can exchange information, and right now they do that by writing sentences to each other imagine what could we possibly achieve if we properly open that third axis development by letting models to exchange information in their native "language" without loosing any computational data that they produce during inferenceshow more

I’ll keep you all posted if I hear back ❤️ Hi Simon, I am writing to you as an incredibly concerned parent of an 8.5 year old boy, Harvey. Harvey has Spina bifida and scoliosis which in itself is challenging, but when those conditions are coupled with a lack of access to therapy, a hospital that is potentially misappropriating funds, and incredibly long wait lists for urgent and life changing surgeries, then it becomes impossible to adequately care for your child. Harvey had an Xray in January 2024 that showed his scoliosis curve is at 110°, if you have read in to scoliosis then I am sure you are aware how this is at a point where it is detrimental to his health and quality of life. Harvey was under Connor Green and was listed for urgent surgery in February 2022 after repeated pneumonia infections, 30 months later he is still only on the surgical list under Connor Green as he does not have a surgeon willing to operate. The task force you hold in such high regard has not made contact with my family, nor is there any details online of how to contact them to enquire as to when your child will finally be treated. You continually tell families like ours that you care, and you have been promising to fix this since 2017. 2017 was the year we were told that Harvey’s ribs were crushing his lungs and controlling his scoliosis was life and death. Here we are in 2024 and nothing has changed except we now have a surgeon under investigation, longer wait lists, more children waiting, a still not complete hospital, and funds not being spent as intended and no answers yet as to where the money *we* fought for went. You say you care but your actions have left us feeling anything but. We as a family also have a child facing open heart surgery next month and this is just more stress and concern that we do not need. Another summer has just passed and Harvey has spent the majority in his room, often needing to go back in to bed because he is in so much pain. Is that the life you think the children of Ireland deserve? Would you accept that if it was your own child? Can you imagine being told your child has a potentially life threatening condition but that it will be years before it would be treated? We need actual action, not more empty promises. You need to engage with all advocacy groups, not just those that are currently working with the task force. There are very valid reasons why the other groups have chosen to not engage and they need to be heard. We need contact details and open dialogue with the task force so that we can actually feel its existence. We need answers as to where the funding for scoliosis and spina bifida services went.
