This child had a foreign body in his airway and required a flexible bronchoscope to get it out. He was taken to government hospitals in Ebonyi state, and they could do nothing for him because they did not have a flexible bronchoscope. A flexible bronchoscope costs about $3800 for the reusables and about $200 for single use. This boy died because the government hospital in a state under APC rule did not have a flexible bronchoscope, just about a week after the governor spent about N500 million sponsoring hajj pilgrimage for Muslims in the state. But all of these are not the main reasons I downloaded and kept this video.
