Even if he didn’t turn up, the organisers played songs to keep engaging the crowd that kept coming in from 11 am, and it exploded by 6 pm. People were packed like sardines inside the mall’s ground floor in the free ticketed event. It triggered a stampede like situation and spilled outside by evening 6 pm, bringing the entire #Velachery into a mega gridlock. People were diverted through fire exits to juggle between mall floors, many were caught for hours inside the parking itself while people couldn’t exit freely too.
