Josh and I got to climb the Matterhorn! Quite... the travel experience going to Zermatt for the day - it was raining so we never actually saw the top of the mountain. And we were in the clouds and wind for the top on our climbing day - it was actually somewhat character building. After climbing the Eiger in shorts and a sun hoodie I didn’t quite take the Matterhorn seriously enough - it would have been nice to have gloves for all the ice encrusted ropes at the top… but we tread carefully and still had a pretty good time. Just a little chilly! And less scenic than we hoped for. But very memorable.show more

so jihoon didnt know jaehyuk kicked him. he jus... thought something dropped on him 😭 🐶 I only found out from watching the video that Jaehyuk kicked me when he woke up. at the time, I did feel like I got hit by something, but I never thought it was Jaehyuk. I thought something just fell, like maybe a light fixture or something 🐶 but turns out, he kicked me with his foot. I didn’t realize it at all. I was half asleep thinking “did something fall? did the light drop or something?” but it was actually him kicking me. I couldn’t really see either. my eyes were sensitive, dry, and kind of blinded, so I didn’t even notice it was Jaehyuk 🐶 I seriously just thought something fell on me. If I had known, I would’ve immediately put him in a headlock, but since I didn’t know, I let it slide. When you see a tanker show up at the... base, and you know there’s an important delivery from Lockheed Martin coming up based on the news… For the last few days we’ve had the tabletop scanner sitting in our bedroom waiting for the call. Yesterday morning we finally heard what we’d been hoping for. RUMMY01 (KC-46) and RETRO61 flight of 3, the Polish F-35s, requesting clearance. We raced to our spot, and thankfully the overcast skies meant location on the field didn’t matter too much. Right as the F-35s departed, just before 8am local time, a light rain started moving in. I still need to edit the photos, but for now here are the takeoff videos. This will probably be the last time I get to see them for a while. Hopefully one day I’ll make it over to Poland for another air show.show more
