After today’s chase in rural Arkansas, I noticed a... biker pushing his motorcycle along the side of I-57 in the dark more than three miles from the nearest gas station. Went and bought a jug of gas to help get him safely on his way, but when he tried to start the bike, the battery was dead, but thankfully, I had a jump pack with me. I can’t even describe how thankful he was. It’s not all about the storms out here. Helping when help is needed is a big part of my motto. Scott and I took some time for a little... self-care yesterday at J. Lynn Skin, and let’s just say—it was eye-opening! We both got laser treatments to improve our skin health. J. Years of sun-worshipping and life’s wear and tear have definitely left their mark. It’s known for being a milder option with minimal discomfort and a recovery time of about 7-10 days. Scott went for the heavy-hitter! He got the TRL Laser Treatment around his eyes to target under-eye bags and deeper wrinkles, paired with the Moxi on the rest of his face to tackle stubborn sunspots. It’s a more intense treatment but perfect for deeper issues. His recovery is also about 7-10 days. Why are we sharing this? Because skin health is so much more than just looking good. You don’t realize how much of yourself you put... into a program until it’s time to leave. When I joined Tarpon, there really wasn’t much in place. I had to supplement the lack of equipment with my own gear. Even while taking my personal equipment with me now, I was still able to donate over 40 high-end wooden lockers, around 40 locker room and field chairs, more than 25 metal lockers, a new batting cage net, dugout fans, new bullpen lights, a new front toss protective screen, lounge couches for the locker room, extra protective screens, uniforms, gear—and much more. The baseball, basketball and girls volleyball and girls basketball all got locker rooms and upgraded equipment because of my efforts. It’s safe to say I left my mark on the program. The next person stepping in will find much more than I did when I started. I wish them all the best. I’ll be honest—I wasn’t sure if the staff would let me retrieve my equipment, and there was a bit of back and forth. But in the end, it worked out, and I appreciate that. After everything I put in and sacrificed for the program, it meant a lot to be able to get my things. Thank you.show more

Going highway speed in the dark didn’t give me time to react at all, and I hit the cow, airbags went off, and I almost lost control.
