The Fondant Custom Normals Blender addon is being tested,... and we're aiming for a 1.0 release next week! The first feature is the Weighted Normals + Laplacian Smoothing Geometry Nodes modifier. This let's you calculate Normals that are as clean as a nice quad mesh even if your topology is a mess and triangulated! Blender has Geometry Nodes - a powerful node-based system for creating and manipulating procedural geometry. In other words, it’s math. And math is a universal language. I converted the normals from the terrain to a... texture in order to use it on the grass so that I can reflect the sun on it. The grass now blends better with the terrain and looks even fluffier! 👉show more
