🚨WE WRITTEN INDIA OFF, BUT AJINKYA RAHANE HAD OTHER... IDEAS - JUSTIN LANGER🤯 Justin Langer said :🗣️ "India was in shambles when they got out on 36 at Adelaide & Virat Kohli was not there for the rest of the series. We thought this looks like a cakewalk from here on, India will definitely struggle at MCG & Gabba offcourse & a whitewash is there for the taking but there was a warrior in their team named Ajinkya Rahane who defied all odds & scored a smashing hundred at Melbourne cricket ground. That led to the turnaround. He led India brilliantly, with limited resources. I can't forget the fight Indian team showed with beautifully led by jinks. That's why I every time say 'Never ever underestimate Indians'. Ajinkya Rahane was simply phenomenonal in the series that will be remembered forever in the Indian cricketing history".show more

Wait for the winning moment... The emotion of watching... your teammate succeed. 🥺 Team Jamaica Olympic Association went through the full rollercoaster whilst watching the men's 100m final at the #WorldAthleticsChamps, but the moment that their man Oblique Seville official took the gold led to full on table-flipping pandemonium. 🇩🇪 Germany had another shocking World Cup and fully... deserved to lose to Paraguay tonight. It's sad to see the decline of the German national team. Their World Cup winning side that demolished Brazil 7-1 in 2014 was the culmination of a long national project to establish German dominance, and that team was the peak expression of German martial virtues in a sporting context. Since then their decline has mirrored German national decline. Many former players have complained about the team losing "Kampfgeist," which was the resilience, collective will and fighting spirit that made so many German teams triumph over more individually talented opposition. Obviously, the subtext of this is that much of the team are no longer ethnically German. Before the 2018 World Cup, in which Germany didn't even get out of their group as defending champions, Turks Mesut Özil and İlkay Gündoğan met Erdoğan in London. Özil responded to criticism by retiring from international football and accusing Germany of being racist to him. In 2022, where they again went out in the group stage, they partook in the humiliating show of covering their mouths to protest the Qataris banning them from wearing gay "One Love" armbands to defend the only thing allowed to pass for "German values." The side that lost tonight lacked everything that made German football great. A team of individuals led by a tactics-focused coach lacking inspiration, who couldn't break down a more hard-working spirited side. Congratulations to Paraguay. 🇵🇾show more

Just got back from the match, and it still... hasn't quite sunk in. Last year was about overcoming the heartbreak and near misses for the first time. This year felt different. There was a calm confidence around this team, a feeling that they had learned from the setbacks and were ready for this moment. Being in the stadium to watch RCB lift their second IPL trophy was genuinely special. Not just because of the result, but because of the journey it took to get here. You could feel what it meant to the players and the fans who have stayed invested through all the highs and lows. Seeing that shared sense of joy at the final whistle is something I'll remember for a long time. A title built on resilience, belief, and delivering when it mattered most. Very glad I got to witness it in person. 🏆❤️ #RCB #IPLshow more

This may get a little personal, with blurry photos... for evidence. But Harmanpreet's 200th T20I feels like the right occasion for this story. Bear with me - it'll all make sense. My first meeting with Harmanpreet Kaur lasted only a few minutes, to fix an interview. Looking back, though, it's an interaction that changed the questions I asked and the stories I chose to tell. It was just before the 2016 T20 World Cup. I was in Ranchi covering my first international assignment in women's cricket. Like any young reporter, I had done my homework beforehand. Then I spent the week putting faces to the names, and learning their stories. And when I finally met Harmanpreet, I called her by the wrong name. It was an honest mistake. I was mortified nonetheless. Harman, however, barely reacted. She brushed past it just as effortlessly as I had blurted it out, and carried on with the conversation. It was an embarrassing mistake, one that the overthinker in me couldn't move past. But Harman's non-reaction honestly hit me with the hardest reality of women's cricket. Misidentification wasn't unusual back then. So common, in fact, that the players had simply learned to live with it. There was no outrage in Harman's response, no attempt to make me feel worse than I already did. Typically unfazed, she just simply moved the conversation along. The decade that followed wasn't a straight line. And it tested her in almost every way possible - as a batter, as a captain, as one of the faces of a rapidly growing sport in the country. It was a remarkable change, and not just in Harman's career, but in women's cricket itself. She became one of the defining figures of Indian cricket. With more visibility, the expectations changed. The scrutiny increased. But Harman largely remained Harman. She inspired more than one generation and ultimately led India to its first World Cup title. What was once easy to overlook had become impossible to ignore. Perhaps that is why one moment from the 2025 World Cup celebrations remains so vivid in my memory. Amid the chaos and emotion of a historic night, Harman walked over, handed me the trophy and insisted for a photograph. It was a small gesture, but one that meant a great deal coming from someone whose journey I had been lucky enough to chronicle for nearly a decade. For a few seconds, I found myself holding the ultimate prize of everything Indian women's cricket had worked towards. My mind immediately went back to Ranchi. To that awkward first meeting. And to the journey that followed. A journey that ensured nobody would ever mistake Harmanpreet Kaur for anybody else again. Today, as Harman becomes the first cricketer - male or female - to play 200 T20Is, it feels like a milestone for a generation that helped transform women's cricket in India. Congratulations, Harman. It's been fascinating to watch this journey unfold, and to document parts of it along the way.show more

🚨Jamie Carragher on Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes slipping... away: 🗣️ Carragher: “Arsenal right now look closer to bottling the league than actually winning it. You can feel it happening—it’s a story we’ve seen before, and they’ve put themselves right back in that position.” “When you drop points at crucial moments, you invite Manchester City in—and once they sense it, they don’t let go. City don’t look like a team that will drop points from here. We can even see Manchester City fans now trolling Arsenal with water bottles… it’s embarrassing. That tells you everything about how the momentum has shifted.” “If this title goes down to goal difference, I don’t think it’s even a debate. City will score for fun in these final games—we’ve seen it year after year. Arsenal don’t have that same ruthlessness.” “Unless something dramatic changes, this looks like another title slipping through their fingers.”show more

I'm really lost for words. Five months ago, the... Arkansas Baptist College football team was expelled from our practice facility due to unpaid rental fees for maintenance and upkeep. Consequently, spring football practice was suspended and many of our promising student-athletes left, and many of the ballers that we were attempting to recruit, shunned our efforts. Fast forward to the third week of football in September. The Buffaloes are 2-1 with their only loss coming from FCS Houston Christian, in which they were very competitive for a half. I had no expectations for Coach Richard Wilson and his staff this season. After enduring so many challenges, just fielding a team for the 2025 football season would be considered victorious for the program. But these young men have tasted winning, and now they want more. Praying that our young men will continue growing in the Lord ✝️, hitting the books 📚, and balling 🏈 out on the football field. GOD'S PLAN 🙏🏻✝️🙌❣️show more

During the filming of the scene where Barabbas is... released and he meets Jesus face to face (played by Jim Caviezel), the actor Pietro Sarubbi(who played Barrabas), later testified that when their eyes met, he experienced something he could not explain. He said: “When our eyes met I felt a sort of surge… It was like I was really seeing Jesus.” He went on to say that in that moment he saw no hatred, only mercy and love, and that the experience led to a real life conversion during the filming of the movie. Before the film, Sarubbi had spent years searching spiritually, living in a Tibetan monastery, practicing meditation in India, and traveling widely, but after acting in that role he said: “I have reached the final goal of this search in Jesus.” After The Passion: He became a committed Christian. He wrote a testimony book about his conversion (From Barabbas to Jesus: Converted by a Glance). He began teaching acting and public speaking. He does charity work, even performing as a clown for orphaned children. He lives with his family on a farm near Milan. 🚨Lionel Scaloni on the strange way Argentina played against... Spain: • Reporter: Lionel, welcome home, and congratulations on reaching another World Cup final. But many fans were surprised by Argentina’s performance against Spain, it didn’t look like the team we’d seen throughout the tournament. What happened? 🗣️Lionel Scaloni: “First, congratulations to Spain. They deserved to be world champions and handled the final better than we did. I understand why people have questions. From the outside, a lot looked unusual. But football has stories the public never sees. Some things happen inside a dressing room, and out of respect for everyone involved, they should stay there.” • Reporter: Before kick-off, Messi told the team, ‘Let’s forget about everything. Let’s just play.’ There was no applause, and players like Enzo Fernández and Lisandro Martínez looked emotional. It felt very different. 🗣️Scaloni: “Every dressing room has emotional moments before a final. Cameras capture seconds, not the full picture. I won’t discuss private conversations, but everyone who stepped onto that pitch gave everything for Argentina.” • Reporter: Fans also noticed Messi during the warm-up, with some saying he looked distracted and even missed shots deliberately. Was something wrong? 🗣️Scaloni: “People can interpret body language however they want. Leo has his own routine after thousands of matches. It’s unfair to judge his mindset from a few minutes of footage.” • Reporter: Lautaro Martínez barely seemed involved despite being important throughout the tournament. Enzo Fernández and Leandro Paredes also played with an aggression that seemed out of character. Was something affecting the squad mentally? 🗣️Scaloni: “Finals change games. Spain controlled long periods, and that affects every player. Sometimes what looks strange is simply the result of facing a great opponent.” • Reporter: After losing Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martínez to injury, Argentina became much more defensive. Many fans felt that invited Spain onto you. 🗣️Scaloni: “Losing two key defenders in a World Cup final forces difficult decisions. Looking back, everyone can question them, including me but every change was made to help the team.” • Reporter: Argentina also struggled to keep the ball, Messi barely saw possession, and Spain kept winning it back. It didn’t resemble your tournament performances. 🗣️Scaloni: “Spain deserve huge credit because they forced mistakes no other team could. But we were also below our usual level. Whether it was nerves, fatigue, or simply an off night, we never found our rhythm.” • Reporter: Finally, Messi missed out on the Golden Ball, with Rodri winning it instead. Many Argentina fans believe Messi deserved it. What do you think? 🗣️Scaloni: “Individual awards will always divide opinions. For me, Leo had an extraordinary tournament and led this team brilliantly. A trophy doesn’t define what he achieved. As for everything else that’s being said… football has a way of revealing the truth over time. There are things I know, there are things I prefer to keep private, and there are things that people will continue to speculate about. My job isn’t to fuel speculation. Maybe one day certain stories will be understood more clearly, but today isn’t that day.”show more

i turned 25 today, and the best gift i... could give myself was this → building a school 🏫 for years i thought i’d need to save money before doing this, but today i just took the decision. we’re starting with two villages, one in bihar and one in madhya pradesh. i spoke to my maternal uncle in a small village in bihar, and with his support, we’ve begun. our Rightfit (We’re hiring) team will live in villages for 6–12+ days at a time, in b/w every 6–12 months, we’ll be visiting different villages across india where education is most needed. we’ll be teaching kids, parents, and teachers, while also learning from their culture, food, and daily lives. this will be one of the many initiatives we are building at rightfit. our community with more than 7,000+ members is also completely free. people have already found jobs, mentors, and opportunities there, without paying a single rupee. we’ve seen how powerful free knowledge-sharing can be, and we want to bring the same spirit into rural education 🙌 this school will always be free, no revenue model, no hidden agenda. we believe education should be free for every child, and we hold on to the philosophy that knowledge only grows when it’s passed on. i don’t know where this will go, but if even one spark is lit inside a child, it will mean we’ve done something meaningful. so yeah, we’re building something amazing, something a little crazy!!! if you want updates on our journey, routes, plans, growth, failures, join our waitlist by sending your email at 🌼 if you’d like to be a part of this, write to us at [email protected] 💌 [ rethinking education in indian villages ]show more

Georgia's national figure skating team has advanced to the... final of the team event at the 25th Olympic Games in Milan. But who actually represents Georgia? - Mostly Russian athletes using Georgia's national team as a convenient way to avoid international sanctions. After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the International Olympic Committee(IOC) imposed sanctions on Russian athletes, which triggered a mass exodus from Russia. This year, at the Winter Olympic Games, athletes from Russia and its ally Belarus were allowed to participate only under a neutral status. However, the IOC rejected most of the athletes submitted by the Russian Figure Skating Federation in pairs and ice dance(with only two exceptions: Adelia Petrosyan and Pyotr Gumenik). It should be noted that most members of Georgia's national team train in Russia(with the exception of the ice dance pair). Let's get to know them better. 🔴 Eteri Tutberidze - an ethnic half-Georgian Russian figure skating coach, best known as the coach of Vladimir Putin's favored athlete Kamila Valieva(who was later disqualified after a banned substance was found in her doping test, resulting in her victory being revoked), also coaches Adelia Petrosyan. Tutberidze herself avoided IOC sanctions by citing illness and not attending the Olympic medal ceremony at the Kremlin. Before Russia's national team was sanctioned, she showed no interest in Georgia whatsoever, openly distanced herself from anything Georgian, does not speak the Georgian language and yet today she has become one of the key figures associated with Georgia's national team. 🔵 Diana Davis - Tutberidze's daughter, competed for Russia as recently as four years ago. Before the war began, she moved to the United States and this year in Milan she is the flag bearer for Georgia!🙂 Her ice dance partner is Gleb Smolkin. Russia granted both of them permission to change sporting citizenship and unexpectedly they became members of Georgia's team. According to ISU regulations, Russian skaters are required to live in their new country for at least one year to change sporting nationality. It is unclear to what extent this rule was actually followed. They currently train in Montreal. 🔵 Anastasia Gubanova - has competed for Georgia since 2021 with Russia's permission. She trains in Saint Petersburg and the Milan Olympics will be the final competition of her career. 🔵Nika Egadze - is a product of the Georgian skating school, but years ago he moved to Moscow to train under Eteri Tutberidze and Sergei Dudakov. 🔵 Anastasia Metelkina - the partner of Luka Berulava, trains with him in Perm, Russia. After winning a European Championship title, Metelkina spoke in Russian, while Luka, unlike many others, openly identifies Georgian as his native language. 🙂And I still don't understand why the national team's uniform has been changed to blue, when Georgia has always competed in the colors of its national flag!🇬🇪show more

In Remembrance of Hedy Lamarr. Born | November 9,... 1914 in Vienna, Austria. Died | January 19, 2000 aged 85 in Casselberry, Florida, USA. Hedy Lamarr, the woman many critics and fans alike regard as the most beautiful ever to appear in films, was born Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler in Vienna, Austria. She was the daughter of Gertrud (Lichtwitz), from Budapest, and Emil Kiesler, a banker from Lemberg (now known as Lviv). Her parents were both from Jewish families. Hedwig had a calm childhood, but it was cinema that fascinated her. By the time she was a teenager, she decided to drop out of school and seek fame as an actress, and was a student of theatre director Max Reinhardt in Berlin. Her first role was a bit part in the German film Geld auf der Straße (1930) (aka “Money on the Street”) in 1930. She was attractive and talented enough to be in three more German productions in 1931, but it would be her fifth film that catapulted her to worldwide fame. In 1932 she appeared in a Czech film called Ekstase (US title: “Ecstasy”) and had made the gutsy move to appear nude. It's the story of a young girl who is married to a gentleman much older than she, but she winds up falling in love with a young soldier. The film's nude scenes created a sensation all over the world. The scenes, very tame by today's standards, caused the film to be banned by the U.S. government at the time. Hedy soon married Fritz Mandl, a munitions manufacturer and a prominent Austrofascist. He attempted to buy up all the prints of “Ecstasy” he could lay his hands on (Italy's dictator, Benito Mussolini, had a copy but refused to sell it to Mandl), but to no avail (there are prints floating around the world today). The notoriety of the film brought Hollywood to her door. She was brought to the attention of MGM mogul Louis B. Mayer, who signed her to a contract (a notorious prude when it came to his studio's films, Mayer signed her against his better judgment, but the money he knew her notoriety would bring in to the studio overrode any moral concerns he may have had). However, he insisted she change her name and make good, wholesome films. Hedy starred in a series of exotic adventure epics. She made her American film debut as Gaby in Algiers (1938). This was followed a year later by Lady of the Tropics (1939). In 1942, she played the plum role of Tondelayo in the classic White Cargo (1942). After World War II, her career began to decline, and MGM decided it would be in the interest of all concerned if her contract were not renewed. Unfortunately for Hedy, she turned down the leads in both Gaslight (1940) and Casablanca (1942), both of which would have cemented her standing in the minds of the American public. At the beginning of World War II, along with composer George Antheil, Lamarr co-invented a radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes that used spread spectrum and frequency hopping technology to defeat the threat of radio jamming by the Axis powers. This approach, conceptualised as a “Secret Communication System”, was intended to provide secure, jam-resistant communication for weapon guidance by spreading the signal across multiple frequencies. Similar technology was used in operational systems only beginning in 1962, which was well after World War II and three years after the expiry of the Lamarr-Antheil patent. Frequency hopping, which existed and was utilised before the Lamarr-Antheil patent, is a foundational technology for spread spectrum communications. Its principles are utilised for secure wireless networking, including Bluetooth and early versions of Wi-Fi, which use variants of spread spectrum to protect data from interception and interference. In 1949, Hedy Lamarr starred as Delilah opposite Victor Mature's Samson in Cecil B. DeMille's epic Samson and Delilah (1949). This proved to be Paramount Pictures' then most profitable movie to date, bringing in $12 million in rental from theatres. The film's success led to more parts, but it was not enough to ease her financial crunch. She made only six more films between 1949 and 1957, the last being The Female Animal (1957). The 1970s was a decade of increasing seclusion for Lamarr. She was offered several scripts, television commercials, and stage projects, but none piqued her interest. In 1974, she filed a $10 million lawsuit against Warner Bros., claiming that the running parody of her name (“Hedley Lamarr”) in the Mel Brooks comedy Blazing Saddles infringed her right to privacy. Brooks said he was flattered. The studio settled out of court for an undisclosed nominal sum and an apology to Lamarr for “almost using her name”. Brooks said that Lamarr “never got the joke”. In 1981, with her eyesight failing, Lamarr retreated from public life and settled in Miami Beach, Florida. A large Corel-drawn image of Lamarr won CorelDRAW's yearly software suite cover design contest in 1996. For several years, beginning in 1997, it was featured on boxes of the software suite. Lamarr sued the company for using her image without her permission. Corel countered that she did not own rights to the image. The parties reached an undisclosed settlement in 1998. For her contribution to the motion picture industry, Lamarr has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6247 Hollywood Boulevard adjacent to Vine Street where the walk is centered. Lamarr became estranged from her older son, James Lamarr Loder, when he was 12 years old. Their relationship ended abruptly, and he moved in with another family. They did not speak again for almost 50 years. Lamarr left James Loder out of her will, and he sued for control of the US$3.3 million estate left by Lamarr in 2000. He eventually settled for US$50,000. In her later years, Lamarr lived in Altamonte Springs, Florida, before moving to Casselberry, Florida, in the final months of her life. She communicated with family and friends almost exclusively by telephone. However, after moving to Casselberry, two friends who lived nearby would visit her at home to check on her a few times a week. On January 19, 2000, Lamarr was found dead at her home in Casselberry at the age of 85; the cause of death was heart disease. Her son Anthony Loder spread part of her ashes in Austria's Vienna Woods in accordance with her last wishes. In 2014, a memorial to Lamarr was unveiled in Vienna's Central Cemetery. The remainder of her ashes were buried there.show more

10 Million Linkers: Why This Milestone Matters 🚀🎉 InterLink... Labs has reached a milestone that is about more than size. 10 million Linkers is not just a number! It reflects trust, participation, momentum, and a community built over time 🤝🌍 To celebrate this achievement, InterLink is introducing a series of community-focused initiatives designed to reward early supporters, strengthen long-term engagement, and bring Linkers together across the world 🌐✨ 1) Reverse Auction Buyback 📉💰 One of the main initiatives is a buyback funded by InterLink itself, carried out through a reverse-auction mechanism 🔄📊 This shows direct commitment from the project 🛡️ It can support the ecosystem in a more transparent way 🔍 It turns the milestone into action, not just celebration 🎯 For communities like this, buybacks matter because they show confidence in the future and a willingness to reinvest in the network that helped create the success 🚀 2) Rewards for the First 10 Million Users 🎁🥳 InterLink has also announced that every user among the first 10 million Linkers will receive a special gift 🎊💝 Early users often take the biggest risk. They join before the wider public notices the project, support it through uncertain stages, and help shape its direction from the beginning 🧭✨ This kind of reward is more than a giveaway! In fact, it is a message of gratitude, recognition, and respect 🙏💫 3) Global Meetup Series 🌍🤝 InterLink plans to host offline meetups in cities around the world 🏙️✈️ These events will help: ✓ Share the project’s upcoming vision and roadmap 🗺️📣 ✓ Give Linkers a chance to meet face to face 👥😊 ✓ Strengthen the community beyond online interaction 💬➡️🏆 ✓ Build real-world connections across regions 🌐❤️ Online communities are powerful, but in-person meetings create deeper trust, stronger memories, and a more personal sense of belonging 🫱🏻🫲🏽✨ 4) INTERLINK VIP Merchandise 👕🌟🎖️ Outstanding contributors who have made meaningful contributions throughout the journey will receive exclusive VIP merchandise 🎁👑 This kind of recognition matters because it: ⭐ Celebrates effort and loyalty 🏅 ⭐ Encourages continued participation 📈 ⭐ Shows that contribution is seen and valued 👀💛 In a strong community, recognition is just as important as incentives. People want to know their efforts matter 🌟🙏 A Milestone With Real Meaning 💡❤️ This celebration is not only about reaching 10 million Linkers, it is about what that number represents 📈🔥 It represents: ✅ early believers who took the first step 🚶♂️🚶♀️ ✅ community members who stayed committed 🤝 ✅ shared growth through every stage of the journey 🌱➡️🌳 and a future built on trust, participation, and recognition 🚀✨ A milestone becomes truly meaningful when it reflects more than growth. It should show gratitude, purpose, and long-term vision 🧠❤️ Final Takeaway 🎯✅ Reaching 10 million Linkers is a major achievement, but what makes it stand out is how InterLink is choosing to celebrate it 🎉🌍 By combining a buyback 📉, user rewards 🎁, global meetups 🌐, and contributor recognition 👏, InterLink is sending a clear message: Our Interlink community is not just part of the journey, it is the foundation of it 🧱❤️ InterLink Labs 👤 + 🌐 KV Reina | InterLink Labs #InterLink #ITL #ITLG #WeAreTheFirst10MLinkers 🚀🎊show more
