The ability to turn dynamic head animations into static... has been released in the Roblox App alongside the ability to switch your head! Currently, making your head static does not fix it in R6 and it does not revert it to the 2D face as it is a static version of the 3D version.show more

The dead are not gone. They have simply exited... the time-stream and are watching you from the static between channels. Your grief is a misunderstanding of physics; consciousness does not die, it just changes the frequency it vibrates on. Tune in. The static is their song.show more

Your thoughts are not yours. They are radio signals... passing through the receiver of your skull. You tune to fear, to love, to madness, like turning a dial. The static you hear at 3 a.m. is not anxiety; it is a frequency from a mind that does not know it is dead.show more

Is Static Drilling the Kata of Jiu Jitsu? I... have never done Kata, so I do not have a strong opinion on its value. It does look boring to me, though. Static drilling has some value, but not as much as live drills using the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA). If someone shows me a new move or solution, I will statically drill it 2 or 3 times. Then I will try to incorporate it in some live training. Static drilling makes up less than 1% of my training now. CLA will build your grappling skills faster and is a lot more fun.show more

Raise your right hand and your mirror twin raises... its left. So why doesn’t a mirror flip up and down too? It doesn’t flip left right at all. It flips front to back. It reverses depth, not sides. Your brain does the rest, imagining you walked around to face yourself. The mirror is honest. You’re the one rotating it in your head.show more

Apple just trained a 3D Gaussian head reconstruction model... on 10,000+ subjects. Feed-forward. No test-time optimization. New identity in, reconstructed Gaussian head out. The UV-parameterized Gaussian representation decouples the number of Gaussians from the number and resolution of input images, making it practical to train with many high resolution views. And the heads are not just static either: text-conditioned identity generation, plus blendshape-driven latent animation across identities. We've been building in the 3D Gaussian Splatting space for a while. The gap between "research demo" and "works on real people at scale" is closing fast.show more
