This weekend has definitely been one for the history... books. Friday, flying from Phoenix to Newark. Saturday, attending my Dad’s funeral there, and Sunday, flying back to Phoenix. This workout was definitely needed to decompress from the mental and emotional exhaustion of this weekend. Nonetheless, I’m grateful for my Dad, for the example of strength and resilience he has shown me since he first came into my life at the age of 7. He freely picked up the responsibility and mantle of Father that my biological father chose to forfeit. He loved me like I was has on flesh and blood, and was my first example of health masculinity displayed through love. For 35 years I gleamed knowledge and direction from him, and how to stand in my truth, even when it’s not difficult and unpopular. I thank him for covering me, molding me, and correcting me, and most importantly loving me. I’ve endured ALOT of loss this year and regard to connections and people, but this one has to be the most difficult. Yet I know that I will be okay. It may take a min, but I know the power that can be produced from pain. I will continue to move forward, and keep his memory in my heart for all my earthly days.show more

My 2nd trip to Memphis is almost over and... I’ve again really enjoyed my time here. So I felt the need to say something, especially after what LeBron said today. This city often gets a very bad rep and I’ve experienced that myself. Players shitting on it, media saying it’s dangerous, people asking me why I’d go here because I wouldn’t be safe, I’ve heard it all. All those people couldn’t be more wrong. This is a city very different from other “typical American cities”. Memphis has it’s own identity, an identity that makes it special. Memphis is a very warm and welcoming city. From the second my first trip started last year I’ve felt welcomed by the people. In the Fedexforum, on the streets, in the airport, in my hotel. My experiences have been nothing but positive. Not once have I felt unsafe or anything remotely close to it, not in my week long stay last year and also not in my almost 2 week long stay this year. Now of course every city has its weaknesses and room for improvement. And that’s where I have to give a lot of credit to the mayor and the people who run this city. Even in the year between my trips there has been clear improvement. The streets are cleaner, there’s roadwork being done and downtown is noticeably more lively compared to last year. Don’t let people who have never been here tell you what and how this city is. Memphis is a unique and beautiful city, Memphis is Memphis. I have truly loved my time here and I can’t wait to keep coming back in the future. But first one more game against Toronto tomorrow.show more

I never thought I would ever say this, but... I have truly lost all my confidence today. A part of me still believes in my work and knows the value of what I have built here over the past five years. At the same time, I just feel faded. The people I associated with closely haven't supported me, and the majority of my collector base has left the space. I still took it on the chin and continued to show up because I blindly believed in what I do and I know what it has done for me. I never had a Plan B. There was never a backup plan, and that is exactly why I even got here in the first place. I was good for nothing but art, and that is the reason I have always said that art saved my life. But lately, it feels like it is the very thing that is going to kill me. I really don't know how I feel about everything anymore. I just don't know. But I am not going anywhere. On dolling and my transition, part n. I had... decided to doll today and I had recorded an absolutely wonderful session filled with the passion of someone who has been away from it from a long time. Pressed record and it didn't start. Whoops. The 12 seconds is from when I sat on the remote and the menu came up 🫠 anywayssss Was not a waste of time, I gained insight and new questions, of which I'm very happy with. The nature of each mask has changed for me again. I think I'm reconnecting with the doll side and away from the female mask side a bit. It felt like what I was aiming for with the female mask I could do with makeup. I didn't need it. However... I loved using my Moli 茉莉兔兔 Barbie (and holy shit I want one of the new ones, they look incredible) and my Dreammask Studio Q04 (the very functional silicone doll) and feeling the gags silence and objectify me. I missed that. I loved the snugness. I have yet again hit the confusion of "I don't know exactly who I want to play with (doll? Man? Woman? Trans woman?)" I do want to play though, rest assured. On dysphoria, it assures me that bottom surgery is in my future. That said, holy fuck is it ever a procedure. It will derail my life a great deal when it happens. I dont want to doll without the hips, and I imagine my relationship to it will continue to change. For nearly two decades after my career, I stood on the outside of USA Gymnastics—unwelcome. This past weekend in New Orleans, on the 30th anniversary of that milestone, I was invited to present the all-around awards and honored with a tribute video. While our sport still has work to do in creating the culture athletes deserve, I felt more welcome than I have in years. I spent the weekend watching incredible performances from the American men and women, and it reminded me why this sport still matters so much to me. To my fans—you’ve been with me through it all. Monkeys in Bali, especially at Uluwatu Temple are SCARY... and a absolute MENACE 😭 They are constantly hunting to snatch your phones and sunglasses 🐒 I had seen all those videos… did not think I myself will become the victim until it actually happened 😭 First time wearing my power sunglasses (just before the trip I got this super chic pair from the Lenskart x Meller collection) and within seconds… gone 😭 I have a very high power (-4) and thankfully I had a spare or I would be roaming around almost blind. Even after I wore my normal sunglasses, still managed to escape another monkey attack. Just a very, very bad day for me The ONLY thing that kept me sane that day was that I wasnt wearing my Prada sunglasses, and the fact that they didn’t take my phone, or else I would have genuinely broken down. It would have been a very, very expensive heartbreak 😭 Honest take: be VERY careful here or just skip it. Not worth the stress. They were troubling kids as well For sunset, there are much better places in Uluwatu. I was chilling at Malini Cafe, and I really don’t know why I insisted my husband head to Uluwatu Temple, maybe because I wanted to see the Kecak dance, but that was also just about okay, nothing extraordinary And if you still go, just be super, super careful. Slowly, I’m learning that my body is my instrument to create the symphony of my life, to pursue what I’m passionate about, and to make meaning with. This is my one vessel to pursue my life’s purpose with and that is not something I should take lightly or berate. I also shouldn’t tolerate it from others. Today, I completed my last chemotherapy treatment and am... blessed to say that I have conquered cancer. The Lord has helped me through this difficult time and we have come out on the other side victorious. This has definitely been the hardest journey I have had to take in my entire life. Going into this, I had doubts, fear, and was really anxious on how this would affect me mentally and physically. But, fear is a choice, and I chose not to fear Cancer. Throughout the tough treatments, the times where I had no optimism, and the numerous amount of bumps in the road, God’s love for me never failed. I cannot thank the doctors and nurses at Texas Children’s and MD Anderson enough for their immense amount of help. Also, if it werent for the numerous amount of prayers, support from friends and family, and encouragement, I wouldn’t be in the situation I am now in. Hello artists, I have a problem! I'm looking for... a way to fix this issue in Clip Studio Paint: As you can see in the video, my shadow layer is clipped to my base color layer, but it's still stretching the color to the edges of the base color. I've tried looking for an option or something to fix this, but haven't found anything. I've changed my brush settings, created a new brush, etc., but nothing works. I went back to Paint Tool SAI and saw that when I make a selection, it doesn't do this in Paint Tool SAI. So I tried it in Clip Studio Paint, and unfortunately, the problem persists. It spreads the color to the selection edges where Paint Tool SAI doesn't. If anyone has a solution, a better-programmed brush, an add-on, or anything that can fix this problem, I would be very grateful!show more
