Today, I completed my last chemotherapy treatment and am... blessed to say that I have conquered cancer. The Lord has helped me through this difficult time and we have come out on the other side victorious. This has definitely been the hardest journey I have had to take in my entire life. Going into this, I had doubts, fear, and was really anxious on how this would affect me mentally and physically. But, fear is a choice, and I chose not to fear Cancer. Throughout the tough treatments, the times where I had no optimism, and the numerous amount of bumps in the road, God’s love for me never failed. I cannot thank the doctors and nurses at Texas Children’s and MD Anderson enough for their immense amount of help. Also, if it werent for the numerous amount of prayers, support from friends and family, and encouragement, I wouldn’t be in the situation I am now in. I’m posting this, why? I really don’t know why.... Other than some idiot told me my leg was f***ed up, looked horrible, that I should wear long pants and should be embarrassed to wear shorts. I turned and quietly walked away. Still, it struck a nerve, it pissed me off. Years ago I took a boat propeller through that knee. I had bilateral tib/fib fractures. Had 13 fractures between the two legs. I had the whole death experience thing. It was a miracle I lived. I was not supposed to keep the leg. They were doubtful I would ever walk again. I spent 4 months in a hospital bed. Did time in a wheelchair. Spent over a year on crutches. Had a cane for a while. There were numerous surgeries. I worked my tail off trying to recover and return to normal. It took many years to get rid of the limp. I now walk without a limp. I run. I bicycle. I snow ski. And some idiot is going to have issue with how my leg looks? Well, that is just too darn bad. Go get a life. I’ll probably delete this in a day or two, but right now I am a bit pissed. Okay, and admittedly a bit bothered by it. It is amazing that it bothered as much as it did. Guess maybe deep inside I was remembering how it used to make me feel when people made fun of me back when I had a limp, and worse yet, how people (yes, strangers) would make fun of me in public when I just starting to walk and had trouble controlling my legs. We (Claude and I) made a new package: voxmlx... It's an MLX implementation of Mistral's Voxtral mini realtime speech recognition model. It supports streaming audio and runs pretty fast on a laptop. Usually when I save a website URL it's because... -I want to save the website design exactly how it is in that point in time -I want to know what frontend/animation trickery they did whether its just raw code or some framework so i made a site where I just drop the url -> get a screenshot + screen recording to capture any animations I found interesting a non-trivial amount of my notion links don't resonate with me due to redesigns and I think this is the simplest fix.
