OP1 has all the moves. It was designed to... be safe, productive, and easy to deploy. Many companies we've spoken with are concerned about legged and wheeled robots being tipped over; OP1's not getting knocked down. Many battery-powered robots need downtime to recharge or swap batteries; OP1 plugs directly into a standard power outlet and runs continuously, never needing to recharge. Many robots require difficult integrations, such as being bolted down to the floor; OP1 is on locking wheels and can be moved around easily when you need to move it. At Ultra, we're on a mission to make the world's most useful and deployable robot. OP1 is a big step (or in our case, extension) in that direction.show more

When people see me with this mug, a majority... of people will probably think it’s just a mug… But in reality it’s the Tesla Thermal Mug. It’s a precision engineered thermal masterpiece from the same team that built my Cybertruck. These signature ridges are more than just for looks… Tesla pulled heatsink principles straight from their vehicle power inverters and battery packs. It creates air pockets that manage heat distribution beautifully so it keeps my coffee hot and evenly warm, while the outside stays cool and super comfortable in my hand. I’m ridiculously picky about the temperature of my drinks, and this is hands-down the best mug I’ve ever owned. Tesla really makes the absolute best stuff on the planet…show more

🇹🇼🇮🇷 The Iran war's most dangerous casualty might be... your phone... Taiwan makes 90% of the world's advanced chips. Those chips need two things from the Strait of Hormuz: helium from Qatar to cool silicon wafers during manufacturing, and LNG to keep the power on. Taiwan gets roughly 70% of its helium and a third of its electricity fuel from the Gulf. The island has 11 days of LNG storage. Helium evaporates from tanks within 45 days regardless. Qatar's Ras Laffan has been bombed multiple times. A third of global helium supply vanished overnight. TSMC alone uses 10% of Taiwan's entire electricity output. No power, no chips. No chips, no phones, no cars, no AI servers, no modern economy. Put simply: Tech giants are spending $650 billion this year on AI infrastructure that depends on a supply chain running through a warzone. More Batteries vs. Submarines Now that the German TKMS... and the French Naval Group have massively adopted lithium-ion batteries, following the Japanese lead, this is consolidating as a major trend, just as I had predicted. The next stage will be solid-state batteries, and at that point, we'll essentially be discussing only speed and submerged endurance in comparison to nuclear submarines. Since solid-state batteries are lighter, they will allow for a greater number to be installed, freeing up space for more powerful propulsion systems. Naval Group has already sold a version of the Scorpène to Indonesia capable of remaining submerged for up to 80 days. That's with lithium-ion batteries. Imagine what this could exceed, more than double, with solid-state batteries. In practical terms, a more powerful engine combined with solid-state batteries in the proportions that Naval Group is now using in the Scorpène would provide three times the speed, meaning something like 10–15 knots at constant speed while maintaining around 50 days submerged. This would give a range of 40,000–50,000 km, requiring less than one hour on the surface for a fast recharge. For speeds above 25 knots, simply adding more batteries and a better engine would suffice, as the solid-state system has high power output. All this at 15–20% of the cost of a nuclear submarine. And if the choice is to power the batteries with a micro-reactor, it would cost 25–35% of a conventional nuclear one. Then someone will say: “But a nuclear sub can stay submerged for years.” That makes no difference at all, since even with around 60 days of endurance, the crew still needs to surface to resupply provisions. The big advantages remain: battery-powered subs are superior in silence, and speed can be addressed with larger battery packs.show more

Those investing in submarines today may be wasting money.... A Virginia-class submarine, powered by an S9G reactor, has a submerged displacement of around 10,000 tons and costs approximately $4–5.8 billion. Its top speed is over 30 knots. Now imagine a much smaller reactor, with power and weight around 15% of the Virginia's, used solely to continuously recharge a solid-state battery bank. Solid-state batteries weigh about half as much as lithium-ion batteries while offering 2-3x more energy capacity. In practice, this means that with the same battery weight, such a sub could achieve roughly 3x the energy gain, In terms of speed, solid-state batteries deliver double or higher discharge rates (potentially 10–20C vs. 5–10C for lithium-ion), ideal for sustained sprints above 30 knots lasting many days and a cruising speed around 25 knots. All this with 15% less overall weight, much quieter operation on batteries alone, and the same endurance as a conventional nuclear sub. And the cost? A micro-reactor would be 15–25% the price of a conventional one, small, modular, low-temperature/low-pressure. This means that when a more modern reactor is needed, you simply swap the module. A micro-reactor paired with solid-state batteries could make a Virginia-class sub $1.2-1.6 billion cheaper, quieter, and leave far more space for weapons, additional batteries, or crew comfort. That's why this system would put all existing submarines at a disadvantage in terms of cost, space, and stealth. Those not adopting micro nuclear reactors can follow what the Germans, Japanese, and French are doing. The Japanese pioneered lithium-ion batteries with diesel chargers, giving their submarines excellent value for money. The Germans chose a fuel cell AIP system to recharge lithium-ion batteries, while the French opted for a similar Japanese-style approach with a battery configuration allowing up to 80 days endurance, making the new Scorpène highly competitive. Starting around 2030, production will shift to solid-state batteries, tripling the capacity of these conventional submarines and enabling silent navigation at around 25 knots for days, making them superior in stealth and speed to many nuclear submarines currently in service. Submarines powered by solid-state batteries, recharged via micro-reactors, fuel cells, or diesel, will be superior: better armed, cheaper, and stealthier than anything we know today.show more

🚨🇬🇧 BRITAIN IS PREPARING. THE QUESTION IS WHAT FOR.... Something significant is happening inside Britain's national-security machinery, and most people haven't noticed. I went through the government's own documents to work out what. Here's what I found. The government is planning the largest UK home-defence exercise in decades. It's called Exercise Albiston Shadow, set for 2027, a multi-day drill involving ministers and hundreds of officials. Its exact scenario is classified, but officials confirm it will test Britain's response to hybrid attacks: cyber disruption, sabotage, foreign interference and disinformation combined. Britain's classified "War Books", the secret plans for moving the country from peace to war, are being rewritten for the first time since 2004. The old versions covered military operations, food distribution, transport and keeping government running. The new one is built for threats that barely existed 22 years ago: large-scale cyberattacks, sabotage and coordinated strikes on infrastructure. The National Risk Register has been expanded, with seven new threats added, including cyberattacks on water, data and police systems. Parts of the home-defence programme have reportedly been pulled forward from 2035 to 2030. And the government is preparing a national campaign telling ordinary households to stock up on food, water and essentials so they can cope in an emergency. None of this is rumour. It's set out in the Resilience Action Plan, the government's Annual Statement on National Resilience, and the National Risk Register, all published this year. Then, in July, it stopped being theoretical. A cyberattack reportedly linked to Iran forced a small British electricity generator offline for four days. The government confirmed the incident but won't name the site, and stresses the wider grid was never at risk. Security analysts see it differently: a proof of concept, a test of what's possible. Let me be straight with you. None of this proves war is coming. It does not mean the government knows an attack is imminent, and ministers are clear the stockpiling advice is common sense, not panic. British Intel is not here to frighten you. But put it together, the war books, the drill, the new threats, the household campaign, a real attack on our power infrastructure, and one question deserves a proper answer: what exactly does the government know that has it preparing this hard, this fast? Here's my advice, and it costs you nothing to follow. Build a basic emergency kit. A few days of tinned food, bottled water, a torch, batteries, a power bank, a battery radio and any medicines you rely on. This is sensible whether the threat is a cyberattack, a storm or a power cut. Keep some cash at home. If systems go down, card payments go with them. Know your basics. Where's your water stopcock, your fuse box, your nearest help. Small things that matter when the lights go out. Don't panic-buy or spread fear. Quiet preparation beats loud alarm every time. The government is getting ready. There's no good reason for you not to. Don't be scared. Be prepared.show more

Pretty over catching flak for just existing on peanut's... server. let's recap the "yOuRe RuInInG tHe SeRvEr" narrative: - Spent a lot of dedicated time helping teach/decorate/guide new people through the game - Suggested the SAM site solution to peanut in S2 (which fixed the problem for the whole server) - The imbalance of team numbers was a "fun problem" so I suggested the naval war as numbers are not nearly as important and everyone will have more fun doing it - Farmed my ass off to not only build a big cool fantasy base for Peanut in S1, but also to supply materials for multiple RPers and others who were struggling to get stuff on their own across every wipe so far. - Coupled with the point above, before peanut had pheetus to farm for him, I also secretly supplied his team with nearly a box of low grade and cloth overnight (really difficult resources to get) so they could continue playing with meds instead of needing to spend a day grinding for them. I never told him or anyone but everyone on stream new we did it to support the nut. - Went out of my way on multiple occasions to go on rescue missions to save people from the deep sea, cargo, and oil rigs I understand that people only see things through the point of view of their streamer, and don't know what I'm doing on my stream, but I spent the entire current wipe just hanging out with my friend, recruiting noobs to do silly ninja role play with us while teaching them about the game. One morning, without asking, I got a DM telling me I was unrestricted and could use guns, so I took an AK out to the deep sea and killed scientists (poorly) and it caused the entire server to lose their minds. Suddenly i have 20k hours (this number increases every time i hear about it), am going to use my 'expert builder skillz' to raid bases, and will abuse everything. Except I didn't do any of that. I still did stupid ninja RP for another 30-40 hours having silly interactions and using C4 for things like "Door breaking ninjitsu" until I was getting harassed to the point where I might as well have joined a sweaty pvp team anyways (so I did, and I did it out of spite). After joining said team I've still mostly only used pistols, not that it matters, but just wanted to include this. I'm too autistic and frustrated to understand how people are coming to the conclusion that I'm such a villain, kind of wish y'all would just tune in and watch instead.show more

P'Ker helped me write my name. Without P'ker, My... ZNN autograph event iswould have ended without a name. Thank you so much 🙇♀️ 정말 감사합니다🥹🫶 Ker By the way, my precious fan signing with only 30 seconds was ruined by some staff. I wrote both my English name and Thai on a piece of paper with the name to be signed (I wrote Thai with the intention of asking ZNN to read it), and before going on the signing stage, I showed the staff the paper with the name on it in advance, and received an OK because the name was written in English. However, as soon as the staff member saw the paper with the name on it while signing, She said, " Can't write your name in Thai. It's only available in English." several times, and even when I pointed to the English written on it, I ignored it and repeated the same words. My precious 30 seconds of autograph session, which I acquired by paying over 100,000 yen, ended without any conversation with ZNN due to the staff's shout in question. My kind ZNN tried to write my name until the end. I wonder how such unfortunate things happen at every event managed by this staff. Thai Festival merchandise booth incident is the same. Since I haven't experienced it myself, I'll refrain from speaking. However, no power, no matter what position they are in, can take the rights of consumers who have paid with dignity lightly. It's really the worst. Please stop collaborating with a company that can't do this again and makes fans sad. DMD SHOP GoodMemoriesDMDshow more

This weekend my dream came into fruition. And it... still doesn’t feel real… I started Earnit Media in late 2023. There were many times when I did the weekly calls completely by myself, nobody would join. I’d sit there for an hour just hoping to hear the Discord join sound. Now I just hosted an irl meet up in Gdańsk with 18 members who’ve flown from all over the world. Shoutout DiPi for getting a 16 hour flight all the way from California. The power of the internet is wild and the opportunities YouTube and short form content have provided is a real blessing. I gave out awards for members that passed milestones like $10K and $100K since joining Earnit and seeing the amount of lives my community has changed in person is an indescribable feeling. The members also got me and my right hand man Ben a very special gift. A custom Earnit belt that was signed by all of them. I’ve been sleeping with it wrapped around my shoulder. It was so cool to see everyone sharing sauce and motivating each other. It doesn’t matter if you’re making 1K, 5K, 10K, 30K a month - everybody benefited from the conversations and provided value. It’s taken a long time to build such a supportive community but man was the effort worth it. I come from a small English town where nobody works online, let alone does YouTube. So to be able to meet like-minded people who understand exactly what you do, have the same sense of urgency + ambition is a rarity and is key for growth. I have no doubt that so many of us are gonna be lifelong friends. I keep telling myself that I’m so grateful and lucky to have been able to do this because I truly have been blessed with the cards life has dealt me and the path I’ve been put on. I strongly believe my purpose is to change peoples lives in a positive way, so to be told that I’ve done that in person by several people has made me realize that I’m executing my mission well. This is only the beginning. Earnit Media on top. Thank you for everything. Vlog coming soon.show more

$ASI watch out! We've got more projects popping up... on Bittensor and $TAO and just starting, Akash $AKT, Shell $SHELL, Einstein-AIT $AIT, Sturdy $STRDY, Stratos $STOS and Comtensor $COMAI and more. Each pushing what's possible with AI and crypto. MyShell: $SHELL First up, MyShell is doing something amazing work. They're all about making AI chat like humans. They're using this TTS Subnet on Bittensor, powered by thier tokens, to make it happen. AI doesn't have to be complicated thing only some can use. They want everyone in on the action, making AI smarter in the process. Einstein-AIT: $AIT Then there's Einstein-AIT. Imagine this as the network's brain but on a turbocharge. It's all about math, logic, and crunching numbers. This subnet makes the whole Bittensor network sharper. They've got NumPAL, and it's like giving the AI a smarter way to think about time and dates automatically. Sturdy: $STRDY Jumping into DeFi, we've got Sturdy. These guys are on a mission to make lending and borrowing way less of a headache. They've got isolated lending pools, you can pick and choose how to manage your risks and money. And they're using some serious tech to keep your investments growing without you needing to babysit them. It's like having a smart financial assistant. Comtensor: $COMAI Comtensor is where it gets interesting. Think of it as a bridge between CommuneAI and Bittensor, kind of like the best of both worlds. It's about making sure all these AI modules and subnets can talk to each other smoothly. The goal? To boost decentralized AI by making everything more connected and smart. Stratos: $STOS Teaming up with τensorage to supercharge the $TAO ecosystem on Bittensor. Stratos is all about solid, decentralized storage - think of it as the bedrock for making sure data's not just stored but also used right . Then there’s τensorage, making sure everything AI needs is stored safe. Together, they’re making sure Bittensor's AI brainpower gets a boost, making everything faster, safer, and smoother. Akash: $AKT Compute Subnet 27 linked up with Akash. All about keeping things open-source. With Akash as a decentralized GPU provider into the mix. Giving access to top-notch AI processing power on top of Neural Internets compute-composable subnet, integrating various cloud platforms. This partnership is all about breaking away from those giants and opening the doors wide for smaller teams and startups who need this tech to innovate. Whats this all about? Making decentralized AI a something that everyone can get behind and into. Whether it's chatting with AI, boosting the network's IQ, DeFi, compute or making sure all these projects work together, it's about pushing forward. Each project has its own way of making things better, faster, and smarter for all of us. Inviting everyone to join in, contribute, and be a part of community effort to make AI not just for the few but for everyone. Credit to Mr.Franc Q for the awesome video production!show more

I would like to explain the latest batch of... viral videos I'm working on to the bemused brainrot-curious reader who is not familiar with "the culture". Why are these characters, mixed with this song, going viral? It's all about connecting infinite referential mirrors. What makes this video interesting are not its individual parts but the signifier links it draws. Let's look at the individual parts: ONE: The song is a Brazilian funk or "pancadão" song called MC Lan e MC WM - Sua Amiga Vou Pegar, these days part of what's broadly referred as Brazilian phonk or just phonk (not to be confused with the original phonk, a Memphis-derived genre from the early 2010s built around chopped Three 6 Mafia samples, cowbells and lo-fi tape hiss and etc. The Brazilian version comes an entirely different lineage and got its name adapted from “funk” to “phonk” exclusively because the names sounded similar. It has a similarly menacing posture but swaps the rap cadence for funk's 4/4 with kicks on 1 and 3 rhythm and a much heavier, distorted 808 synth sound). Phonk is often used for its exaggerated reverb feeling bass lines to signify power, style or simply "aura", which you can take as a shorthand for poise, coolness, being de-bon-air and a general detached positive feeling of high status. Aura. Because most users cannot understand the Portuguese lyrics (which are often quite vulgar and sexual), the singing takes the characteristic of a chant, something to be appreciated entirely for its sound, texture and gravitas. The vocals are just another instrument where you can appreciate the menace and swagger of the delivery directly without the cognitive friction of meaning. Non-Portuguese-speaking audiences are not missing anything they were supposed to get, they get “the vibe” that matters, which is not lyrical. These songs are often paired with (male) characters that are taken to display these traits like American Psycho's Patrick Bateman (yes, yes I know that’s the opposite of what you should feel about the character), Peaky Blinder's Thomas Shelby and a menagerie of anime characters like Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen), Yujiro Hanma (Baki) and Goku and, really, any male character that is just a little bit cool. TWO: The man in the suit is a minor Family Guy character called Tom Tucker. The reference comes from a scene where Meg sees him walking through her school and says "It's Tom Tucker from the news!” We then cut to her POV, where he is walking in slow motion with soft romantic music swelling and birds chirping, the whole love-at-first-sight trope. Then a camera crew member off-screen yells "hurry up Mr. Tucker," and we get to see he is not walking in slow motion because Meg is infatuated, he is just walking that slowly in real life. Only the music and the birds were in her head. The gag is built on the viewer recognizing the romantic-slow-motion trope, briefly accepting it as the scene's reality, and then being shown that we (and Meg) projected the trope onto what is actually just a man walking very slowly. HA! The original gag is already about projection: a neutral image (slow walk) being assigned an external meaning (romance) by a viewer's pattern-recognition. This is what makes the edit-culture appropriation work so well. The clip got stripped of its context, paired with phonk and text overlays (AURA or “Me and the boys going to detention”), and retroactively assigned a new meaning, only this time it’s the cinematic nonchalant walk, the slow deliberate gait that signifies a man who knows he's the most important thing in the frame (ta la any 1980s Schwazerneggerian action movie hero walking away from an explosion without looking back, every yakuza boss entering a room, every western gunslinger approaching the duel). The edit is ostensibly projecting a trope onto a neutral image. The first projection was romance; the second projection is aura. Family Guy clips and gifs are easy to access and repost, which makes it a readily available and easy to use building block. The show has, through sheer volume of output and over two decades of YouTube and cable TV saturation, become a kind of public-domain visual library, a default vocabulary that any editor can pull from knowing the audience will recognize the source without having to be told, and we can just keep loading meaning onto it. THREE: The character in the background is Tom, from Tom and Jerry, doing a pose made famous by an iShowSpeed fan who encountered him during a livestream. By quickly and correctly identifying Speed by his full legal name ("Darren Jason Watkins Jr"), she showcased herself to be a true fan, which he responded to with his characteristic exaggerated reactions. The pose the girl hit, with the knowing look to the camera, produced a perfect “aura moment” complete commitment, zero irony, the unshakeable conviction that what she was doing was the coolest possible thing to do. As a result, the clip then got endlessly edited with "aura 🥶🥶🥶" captions to canonize it. Aura, in this lexicon, is not granted by the universe; it is summoned by the person's own belief that they have it and by displaying the correct attitude. Tom is also dressed as the previously mentioned Thomas Shelby from Peaky Blinders, which is itself a double signifier. The name match (“Thomas”, get it?) and the suit-and-flat-cap costume turn the cartoon cat into a stand-in for the perhaps most used "high-aura" male character of the past decade, the brooding gangster patriarch whose every cigarette drag has been set to phonk, cinematic scores and electronic music a thousand times over. On top of that, he is made entirely out of chrome, a popular trope of asking ChatGPT (one of the few AI tools people have easy and broad access to) to render things out of very high quality materials to indicate "rarity" or "status" like diamonds, platinum and etc. A sign that itself descends from a longer lineage of in-game cosmetic rarity tiers (League of Legends, MMOs, various skin economy freemium game, the Fortnite battle pass, the Pokémon shiny, dacha games and etc) where material finish is the visual shorthand of value. So "chrome" or "platinum" Tom on top of all previous signifiers signals a “maximized” or “maxxd” version. The image is suppose to invoke the superlative highest possible tier, rarest-drop, legendary-rarity version of aura, the way a kid in a playground would describe their dad as not just strong but the strongest in the world. FOUR: Finally, the background black hole calls back to the original Tom image, where he is surrounded by the universe itself, having ascended. The character has transcended the diegetic frame of his own cartoon and now exists at a cosmological scale, with the black hole standing in for the kind of unmotivated, vibes-based "cosmic" imagery that has become the default background for any video trying to signify that something Big is happening (the same visual motif that has powered comic book characters, anime transformations, video game power ups and anything wants to feel grandiose or “epic” without specifying what about). The black hole means significance in the abstract. At this point I think you understand the mechanism at play here. None of these references resolve to a stable meaning on their own. Tom Tucker is “cool” only in the very short context in which his image served as a substrate; he was convenient footage to pair with a song, and the absurdity of doing an "aura edit" on such a minor, strange character scene makes it all funnier and easier to share. Tom-the-cat is doing the aura pose > the aura pose comes from the iShowSpeed girl > the iShowSpeed girl was cool because she correctly played her part in an established bit of a large streamer with the correct timing and theatrical flair > the bit was cool because it was a shared convention unified by a popular central streamer figure > the convention existed because phonk edits had already trained this exact scenario to be read as confidence-plus-detachment as aura > the chrome finish points to AI image generation quirks > the AI image generation style can be mapped to gaming visual rarity shorthands; the gaming rarity tiers point to a much older logic of precious-metal-as-status. Each step on the referential chain is propped by the one behind it, and the one behind it is propped up by the one behind that, so on and so forth. There is no natural endpoint, the entire structure functions more akin to a network than a linked list. If you stop at any single point and ask "but why is particular signifier cool or funny or interesting”, the answer is always "because of the thing behind it.” It’s hyper-citation, Here, what matters is the structure of the whole rather than the content. This is structure is what I mean by infinite referential mirrors. The rate at which a concept is referencing, remixing and calling back to another is what’s interesting. In other words, It’s the velocity that matters. The chain of recognitions, each "I get that reference," and the cumulative effect of getting six references stacked on top of each other a short span of time gives you the feeling that you are participating in something dense and alive, because it allows you to recognize the shared meme ecosystem of the platform that you are participating in, even if only a glimpse of it. You are inside the culture rather than outside it. The brainrot-curious reader who watches this video and feels nothing, has “failed” to understand the joke because they are outside the hall of mirrors I am describing. You can only get the magic if you step in and start counting the reflections: the song, the suit, the cat, the chrome, the black hole, the transitions the video uses. You are looking at connected parts of this network of symbols and at the speed at which one image hands you off to the next. The entire thirteen-second clip is functioning as a single compressed referential payload that decompresses in the viewer's head into a small private essay exactly like this one. The video allows you to recognize yourself as someone capable of decoding it, and that recognition is the reward. That’s why media like this goes viral.show more

Why is the market selling off today? (Save this).... The semi selloff right now is being driven by a mix of macro fear, profit taking and investors questioning how quickly all of this AI spending will actually pay off, not because demand for AI infrastructure suddenly disappeared. The market is basically trading this chain reaction, the ongoing US Iran escalation pushes oil higher, higher oil keeps inflation elevated, sticky inflation keeps Treasury yields high and that increases the risk of the Fed staying hawkish or even hiking again. That is a terrible setup for semis because many of these companies are valued on the massive earnings investors expect them to generate years from now. When yields rise, those future earnings become worth less today which is why the highest multiple AI and semiconductor names usually get hit first. (I don't think there will be a hike this year). This is also why everything is moving together right now. Nvidia, Micron, Nebius, SanDisk, Broadcom and Applied Optoelectronics are all completely different businesses, but institutions are not separating memory, networking, optics, compute and cloud infrastructure at the moment. They are reducing exposure to the entire AI trade, taking profits in the names that have already run the most and moving into a more defensive position potentially ahead of the Fed. There is also growing pressure around hyperscaler capex. Microsoft, Meta, Amazon and Google are still spending enormous amounts on GPUs, data centers, networking and power but the market is starting to ask when all of that spending will actually turn into revenue and free cash flow. Investors are no longer satisfied with hearing that AI capex is growing. They want proof that the returns are arriving fast enough to justify the valuations already priced into the entire AI ecosystem. That creates a weird situation where hyperscaler capex can continue rising while semiconductor stocks still fall. The market is not asking whether AI spending is growing anymore but rather asking whether it is growing fast enough to beat the expectations already baked into these stocks. Crowded positioning is another major factor. Semis and AI infrastructure stocks have been some of the biggest winners in the market so institutions are sitting on huge profits and many funds own the exact same names. When macro risk increases, investors usually sell the most liquid winners first. That does not mean demand for memory, optics or custom chips suddenly collapsed but rather means investors are locking in gains and reducing risk. Tariffs add another layer because even when they are not directly placed on chips, they can still raise the cost of servers, electrical equipment, cooling systems, construction materials and the overall data center buildout. That makes AI infrastructure more expensive while also adding another source of inflation. Then you have Jensen Huang’s letter to the White House this morning about open weight AI models, which I think is one of the most important long term developments here. Nvidia, Meta, Microsoft, Palantir and several other companies are pushing Washington not to place broad restrictions on open weight AI. OpenAI and Anthropic were notably absent because open models are much more of a threat to their business models. OpenAI and Anthropic benefit from a world where a few closed frontier labs control the best models and companies have to pay them through subscriptions and APIs. Open weight models weaken that advantage because businesses can download a model, customize it for their own use and run it on their own infrastructure or through a neocloud. That is bad for OpenAI and Anthropic because it puts pressure on pricing, margins and the idea that they will control the intelligence layer of the economy but it is very good for the AI ecosystem as a whole over the long run. But the question is what does this mean for all the OpenAI and Anthropic commitments? so that's adding to the fear as well. But with that being said open models make AI cheaper and more accessible. Instead of AI being controlled by a few giant labs, thousands of startups, universities, governments and regular businesses can deploy models themselves. That spreads AI adoption across the entire economy and creates a much larger infrastructure opportunity and that is exactly why Jensen cares. Nvidia does not need OpenAI or Anthropic to win. Nvidia just needs more people using AI. Whether the model comes from OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, Mistral, Kimi or some startup nobody has heard of yet, it still needs GPUs, memory, networking, data centers and electricity. So open weight AI could actually weaken the model companies while making the infrastructure layer much bigger. More open models mean more companies running inference. More inference means more GPUs. More GPUs mean more HBM, optical transceivers, switches, data centers and power. That is bullish for Nvidia Nebius, Micron, Broadcom , Marvell and Applied Optoelectronics over the long run. So my take is that the current semi selloff is being driven mostly by macro uncertainty, higher oil, rising yields, Fed fears, tariffs, crowded positioning and questions around the return on hyperscaler capex. The underlying AI infrastructure thesis has not suddenly broken. We are not broadly seeing hyperscalers cancel GPU orders, slash capex, abandon data center projects or report that AI demand has collapsed. What has changed is the valuation investors are willing to pay while the macro environment remains unstable. The market is lowering the price it is willing to pay for semiconductor growth but is not necessarily saying that growth is gone. And while Jensen’s open weight push may be bad for OpenAI and Anthropic, it could be one of the best things possible for the AI ecosystem over the long run because it creates more models, more developers, more competition and ultimately much more demand for the infrastructure underneath all of it. Nothing about the AI thesis has changed for me, so I will be going shopping and taking advantage of this sale while the market is selling everything together. A new wave of protests is underway in Iran,... a strategic partner of Russia. They started in late December 2025 and quickly became the most significant in several years. This time, the initial driving force has not primarily been cultural or human rights slogans such as "Woman, Life, Freedom" (as in 2022), but rather an economic shock. People are joining the protests because of rapid impoverishment, price increase, and a growing sense that the state has lost control over basic economic rules. The main trigger is a currency collapse. On the "open" (effectively parallel) market in late December, the US dollar was valued at roughly 1.39-1.42 million rials, while inflation in December reached over 40% in some estimates. For ordinary families, this means one simple thing: wages and savings are losing value faster than people can adapt, and basic purchases are becoming increasingly unaffordable. The protests were the largest in Tehran, particularly in commercial districts linked to major markets and urban trade. Notably, a key form of pressure has been not only street demonstrations but also merchants’ strikes - mass shop closures and an effective shutdown of trade. Such actions are harder to neutralize through targeted arrests, as they immediately affect urban life and the economy. Within days, the protest wave started spreading to other cities and reached parts of the university sector as well. Students and young people have taken up economic demands and quickly moved on to political questions about the accountability of those in power. The authorities’ response has been mixed. On the one hand, the government has publicly spoken of readiness for dialogue with representatives of the protesters and the trading community. On the other hand, reports from the ground indicate coercive containment measures: arrests, dispersals, and crackdowns. In several provinces, deaths and injuries have already been reported. The figures vary across sources, which is typical for Iran due to information restrictions, but the very fact of fatalities during clashes has been confirmed by several major media outlets. What makes this wave of protests particularly risky for the regime is that it rests on the urban economic base: small and medium-sized businesses, commerce, and the "bazaar." Even if these groups have not always been at the forefront of political protests, they serve as a sensitive barometer of legitimacy. When the "bazaar" shuts down, it signals not only discontent, but also doubt about the state’s ability to maintain basic order. Alongside the internal crisis, external risks are also mounting. Sanctions continue to narrow Iran’s financial and technological room for maneuver, while signals are emerging in the media about the possibility of a new round of coercive pressure on Iran in 2026 - particularly following discussions within the Israel-US-Iran triangle. ❓ What could come next? Four trajectories appear most realistic, and they may even overlap. ▪️ First, controlled de-escalation: the authorities attempt to "cool things down" through targeted economic measures and negotiations with the trading community. This would work only if the exchange rate and prices stabilize. ▪️ Second, wave-like protests: smaller in scale but more frequent and more radical, with repeated flare-ups across different cities and sectors. ▪️ Third, harsh repression: a tightening of the security apparatus and severe sentences, which may temporarily suppress mobilization but typically accumulate deferred anger. ▪️ Fourth, external escalation: which could either temporarily shift the domestic agenda or, conversely, sharply worsen economic conditions and bring people back onto the streets even faster. ‼️ Iran is one of Russia’s authoritarian partners, which raises a logical question: what consequences could the current crisis have for Russian-Iranian relations? If the situation in Iran deteriorates but the regime as a whole survives, the partnership with Russia is likely to be preserved or even strengthened. For Tehran, Moscow remains one of the few major partners available under sanctions and diplomatic isolation; for Moscow, Iran is an important component of its "anti-sanctions" infrastructure and political rear. In the short term, this is unlikely to significantly weaken Russia’s position. The most critical military component for Russia - the Shahed/Geran drone line - has already been largely integrated into Russian domestic production, meaning that a direct disruption of Iranian supplies would probably not be a turning point. More tangible risks for Russia emerge in the medium term if Iran enters a phase of governance paralysis or prolonged instability that undermines its ability to honor agreements. In that case, logistics and infrastructure projects would be hit first - especially those Russia views as alternative sanction-era routes, including the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) and its critical segments. In such a scenario, Moscow would lose the Iranian vector for trade and transit and would face a less predictable partner in technology transfers and financial settlements. The most ambiguous scenario is one in which Iran’s deterioration is linked to a new external escalation (strikes or war). The effects for Russia could be mixed: on the one hand, heightened risks in the Persian Gulf often push oil prices higher, potentially boosting Russian oil revenues; on the other hand, war increases the likelihood of tighter sanctions enforcement and maritime controls, complicating both Iranian and Russian sanction-evasion schemes and disrupting logistics. In other words, "deterioration in Iran" does not guarantee a weakening of Russia, but it does increase environmental instability. Moscow may gain from higher energy prices, but lose in terms of partner predictability and transport capacity. ‼️ Russia’s position would weaken most sharply in a scenario where a new leadership in Tehran moves toward normalization with the West or at least distances itself from Moscow. In that case, the entire "anti-sanctions" framework - financial settlements, technological cooperation, and joint projects - would come under pressure, including the North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) and its key Rasht-Astara segment, in which Russia is investing both financially and politically. For Russia, this would mean the loss of an important (though not the only) route and partner infrastructure in the region. While the purely military Shahed/Geran component may be somewhat less critical due to partial localization of production inside Russia, Iran’s political and logistical value as a partner would nonetheless diminish.show more

A Citadel quant sat down next to me at... Verve on Gough and asked why my laptop had four terminals open I was scanning Polymarket. Four panes. Each one a different agent. He was killing time before a flight. Saw the screens. "Is that a multi-agent setup on prediction markets. Who's orchestrating" Claude. One prompt per agent. They don't share memory. Only a queue file. He pulled up a chair. "Walk me through. I do this for equities at work. I want to see your agent separation" Agent 1 is the scanner. I piped raw JSON from the official Polymarket CLI straight into Claude and told it to score every live market on three things. Edge against my probability estimate. Book depth on both sides. Hours to resolution. Thresholds kill 93% of markets before the brain ever sees them. Edge under 7 cents gone. Depth under $500 gone. Under 4 hours to resolution gone. Over 168 gone. 487 live markets collapse to 35. "Seven cents is your transaction cost buffer" Yes. Below that the gas and spread eat the trade. A green fill popped. +$52 on a BTC dominance market. "And the brain" Agent 2. Runs four checks on every survivor. Base rate from history. News in the last six hours. Whether any of the 47 top wallets are currently holding. And a disposition check - is the crowd making a known cognitive error. Three out of four must agree. Otherwise drop it. 86 million trades. I let Claude rank every wallet with 100+ fills and a 70%+ win rate. It returned 47 names in four minutes. Top 20 wallets made more than the bottom 13,000 combined. "Concentration like that means the signal is there. Most retail books look like a normal curve. Yours looks like power law" Kelly sizing does the rest. Capped at quarter Kelly. If f-star goes negative the trade dies no matter how confident I feel. "Overbet once and the bankroll is gone. You respect that. Good" Agent 3 is execution. Three strategies pulled out of a 53k line Typescript repo. Arbitrage across related markets. Convergence when price moves toward my estimate. Whale copy with a 60 second delay on the 47 wallets. Two agents agree full position. One agent only half. Disagreement no trade. "What did you cut" Sports. 52% win rate. Already priced in before the scanner flags it. Markets under $50k in depth. Slippage makes every edge a coin flip. Holding to settlement. The top wallets exit at 73% of max profit every time. I copied that. Agent 4 watches exits. Three triggers. Target hit at 85% of expected move. Volume spike 3x the ten minute average. Thesis stale 24 hours with no movement. "91% of the smart wallets exit before resolution. That's the trade" Yeah. Being right is not the same as being profitable. Setup: Claude API $20 Hetzner VPS $5 Four repos free Total $25 a month $200 seed. 27 days ago. $14,300 now. 271 trades. 74% win rate. Sharpe 2.47. Copy here: "How long did the build take" Two weekends. One to wire the scanner and the CLI. One to get the agents talking through the queue file. He watched the volume exit trigger fire on a Fed cut market. Position closed at 0.71. +$184. "Nobody at my shop runs four agents on their own money. We run eight on the firm's. You got the same structure on a laptop for the price of a sandwich a month" He asked for the repos. I sent them. He messaged me from the gate. "Publishing this tomorrow. My PM is going to ask me why I didn't do it first" I told him his PM already has a Bloomberg. That's the problem.show more

Today, I took the new Lucid Gravity SUV out... for a quick drive. Here are my initial thoughts of the car and the drive: Materials & Seats: I have to say, this is a nice vehicle. The interior feels very premium, and the materials feel expensive. The perforated vegan leather seats are plush, provide good support, and hug you nicely. I sat in two Gravitys, one specced with the $4,200 Tahoe Brown vegan leather seats (really liked that color) and one with the all-black interior. The massaging seats are also surprisingly useful. Unlike the gimmicky ones in many cars, these actually feel great and not like a tiny mouse poking your back. I’d use them regularly if I owned one. The powered second-row seats are roomy and comfortable, with plenty of space for legs and feet. One small gripe I have: the grab handles on the interior feel like very cheap, hollow plastic. Design: The Gravity leans more toward minivan styling than SUV, but I actually think it works. Lucid managed to fit a whopping 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity into this thing. For context, that’s about 24% more than the Tesla Model X (91.6 cu ft), even though the Gravity is an inch shorter. It’s also just 10% less than the Cadillac Escalade IQ EV (131 cu ft), despite the Escalade being more than two feet longer. The 6K OLED panoramic display looks great, but the software felt a little laggy at times and is tough to see in direct sunlight. The steering wheel button design isn’t my favorite, but I do like the flat-top, flat-bottom design, Reminds me of Cybertruck’s wheel. Cargo loading is very convenient. With the air suspension lowered, the rear load floor is super low, making it easy to get things in and out. The trunk opening, though, is oddly shaped. I found the hatch uncomfortably close to my head, but raising the air suspension helps a little. Taller folks may still run into that issue. Showroom Employees: I met three Lucid employees at the showroom, one of whom had worked at Tesla for 10 years. All of them were very nice and knowledgeable. Sound System: It’s VERY good—great bass response, not muddy. It has Dolby Atmos, and it rocks. The Cybertruck still has the best factory sound system I’ve ever heard, but the Gravity’s is still great. ADAS: Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time to try it out, so I can’t give an opinion. But the 360-degree camera view is nice. It makes parking much easier and has a curb-rash alert so you don’t scrape your expensive wheels. Test Drive: The Gravity I drove, including options, was priced at $115,000. The ride felt firmer than I expected, even in the softest air suspension setting, but it was still comfortable. The sportier modes were fun and deliver that classic, quick-acceleration EV experience. The steering feel struck a good balance—sporty, but not tiring for everyday use. Visibility is good, and the glass windshield that extends past your head is cool (though I still think the Model X windshield is more immersive). Charging: The Gravity has native NACS and can charge at speeds up to 220 kW at Tesla Superchargers. In general, the vehicle is capable of up to 400 kW charging speeds. Final Thoughts: As Tesla fans, we can sometimes be tough on non-Tesla EVs, but I think the Gravity SUV is evidence that Tesla’s mission is working: accelerating the advent of sustainable energy. Tesla’s mission and past work helped pave the way for a vehicle like the Lucid Gravity to exist and come to market. While Lucid’s path to profitability is still in question, and while the Gravity is expensive (for now), even from my short time with it, this feels like Lucid’s first truly great product. Only the $94,900 Grand Touring trim is available right now, but the company says the less expensive Touring trim will come out late this year for $79,900. We shall see. 🦕💬 • 260611 [01:03 AM KST] 41 voice notes... transcripted/translated in order: hi how did you like made by riize? you’re asking if i ate dinner? i didn’t eat. i ate lunch kind of late, but i ate a hearty lunch. i also wanted to do a live as i finished work, but while wondering if i should do a live or not, something new to do popped up. and while i was doing it, it got too late. so i'll do a live later. go knicks! lately, the NBA's a hot topic lately. knicks. crazy. i don't know, you know... basketball that well, but i remember growing up they were sort of *the team* that people, yk cheered on. but i don't remember anyone saying that they were doing great, or anything. but apparently they're in the finals rn and they're doing rly well, so also can't forget the world cup. world cup season rn, so... just sports season.. sports season, crazy, yeah? [singing dyd] how is it? riize's challenge. easy, right? do it lots, please~ these days, a lot of short-form [videos] are coming up, as you've probably seen. I thought it might be fun if everyone did that together... what do you think? live... there's a way to turn it on, but even if i turned it on, i'm not sure if i could do it well. i don't have confidence rn so i'm talking like this wa, but there's only 4 days left for our comeback.. only 4 days left... how is it? are you guys looking forward to it? are u guys excited? we're going to ulsan the 15th, and wonbin hyung, said he's buying us lunch... not really. but it's our first time going to ulsan all together. we'll have our comeback there. i think it'll be fun. also, the 15th we're doing a comeback live.. we've been doing it every comeback... and at the live stream we'll be high school students.. but it could honestly be university students too.. or really just do it without a concept, but i think it'll be fun... just... it'll be fun... so, while doing that we'll talk about the comeback whatever happens i want us all to just create fun memories together, and since it’s summer, how about you all enjoy summer together with riize... how does that feel? how's this pfp? i like it ㅎㅎ engddongi, eng, engddon ah, right. also with taro hyung, we'll appear at salon drip... i also think that will be fun when it comes out. the recording was also fun, with doyeon nuna.. please watch it ah... you guys can hear the dryer? i won't tell you who's clothes it's drying, it's a secret~ since you could look at this as something im trying out instead of doing a live stream i won't be able to do it super often or every single day, but I think it wouldn't be bad to use this feature again sometime what do you think? ah, but languages are difficult it's not easy to unify into just one language now, but on the other hand, it's really fun. somehow, this chat room..? is that right? realizing that this place is totally global and international is in a way pretty cool. haha anyway, after a long time i rode a bike again.. there was a lot of sunlight... sunlight.. did lots of photosynthesis but what was a real mistake was first of all the bicycle didnt have a basket, and I didnt wear a comfortable backpack. i came out carrying a somewhat awkward/uncomfortable bag, so i really messed up on top of that the bicycle was incredibly heavy, but then the battery completely died... so I almost cried. without even realizing it I had gone so far away so I suffered a bit. that’s the story i also have the feeling i bruised my butt a bit... ㅎㅎ but that will also become a funny memory, right? how's riizing summer vacation? i think there were really a lot of funny moments... sungchan hyung was so funny... sungchan hyung said somewhere he hasn't eaten ramyeon in a year ㅎㅎ and sungchan hyung honestly isn't the type to eat ramen alone, he's on the not eating it side... but he's always like 'one bite, one bite'... so if we put all that together, wouldn't it be a plate of ramen?ㅎㅎ for me, at the beginning of our debut, it was a bit... you know how while filming content, i ended up grilling meat and all? but now, grilling meat... well, i don't think it's that bad also, back when we went to japan to shoot our album jacket photos and the trailer, we visited a lot of vinyl (LP) shops... and that was actually the first time in my life buying an LP with my own money when i was young i went to la to play, and then there was this famous 'amoeba music' store. i looked around and everything, but honestly back then i really wasn't that much interested in LPs. so i bought things like a lot of stickers and used them to decorate my laptop. somehow, after that time, [it was like] I truly spent time in a vinyl shop? but visiting now that I'm a bit older, it was so much fun there are so many songs I don’t know, and tons of songs that aren't even famous so back then in japan, duran duran is a really famous band, but I bought duran duran's Notorious LP and then I also bought Barry Finnertys,, barrynims NY City LP. what was so surprising was that as soon as I listened to the LP, the sound and quality were so good that I was like, 'wow, what is this?' but when I looked it up on the internet, it only had like 3,000 views on YouTube? I think it was 3,000, so because it was so good, I bought it. and after that yesterday too while wandering around here and there, i happened to walk into a cafe and they had LPs there too so yesterday, I bought one or two ㅎㅎ lp's no mater how you look it they have a vibe... its true that nowadays you can just look up and listen to everything on your phone, but another good thing about it (lps) is that I think it’s really great for finding songs you don't know so when going to the lp shop you get to learn a lot of new songs that you didn't know before. even if you don't go with the sole purpose of buying an LP, it's just... really great for discovering things... should I say? a riize lp would also be good... back then, during boom boom bass, we even went there and did all that stuff with our LP too... how was the video editing? back then when i went to school when doing things like presentations, together with other students we would edit videos.. i did lowkey find that kind of stuff pretty fun though because it was pretty much my first time [doing that] since back during those days... but really i think it was fun like... yeah.. i want to try to do it again when i was young i did draw. i drew for fun but it had been such a long time since i last properly sat down and tried to draw something properly with a pencil.. i think it's been such a long time i'm probably the worst at drawing in my family? ㅎㅎ my dad's good, my mom's also good.. my grandpa also draws reaññu well. but it was fun drawing again, so i also want to try that again... why is there so many things i want to do? really why is it? and above all, i want to work really hard on music so that someday i can show you even more. now, like from the trailer to the full version that was uploaded to our site... those kinds of things are a bit different from just being a song, though.. now everyone, let's try meditating together with me sorry.. anyways.. i have to leave in a couple hours actually, so.. time to hit the hay, yeehaw i can't fall asleep right away ㅎㅎ this.. seems like it might be a bit difficult to interpret/translate.. (yes anton, it is,,,) next time it might be better to just turn on a live stream instead ㅎㅎ sorry wow... sleep is really not coming... [1 video] [1 picture] ok jinja gnshow more

🥚 Raw Eggs — They are nature's fast food,... and a complete food, with every nutrient you could need. A raw egg digests in only 27 to 37 minutes, which is phenomenal compared to other foods containing protein and fat, like meat and milk. This is because egg is a fully liquid food. The body doesn't need to use any digestive fluids, hydrochloric acid, to break it down, it will absorb within the first 5 inches of the intestine only, from bacterial digestion alone. Of course, if you cook the egg, this doesn't apply anymore. Cooking not only destroys nutrients, especially enzymes and vitamins, which impairs digestion, and generates toxins, like heterocyclic amines from proteins, and cauterizes the minerals, but it coagulates the egg. This not only makes a raw egg the perfect food to get instant energy in a healthful way, but a vital food that can save someone's life. If your digestive system is so compromised you cannot digest other animal protein, like meat, raw eggs will work. Or if you have leaky gut, they digest before they even have to go through the G.I. tract. In general, if you want to give your digestive system a rest, eat raw eggs, you will get back appetite for other foods very soon. In the next post of this thread is a quote of Aajonus' most incredible testimonial on the healing power of raw eggs. They are also the best food to repair. The only thing that Aajonus found that eggs cannot do is help the body reproduce cells quicker. That takes raw meat. So long-term, you cannot replace raw meat with raw eggs, they work complementarily. Don't discard the egg white. Aajonus proved the avidin in raw egg white is not an anti-nutrient. Aajonus ate up to 60 raw eggs a day (one or two dozens on most days) since 1976. He confirmed there was no biotin deficiency whatsoever. The narrow-minded lab experiments do not explain what actually happen and then draw the wrong conclusion. What actually happens is that biotin mixes with avidin to make a compound that cleans the body of biocarbons, which are leftover byproducts from macronutrient digestion that need to be eliminated by the body. This is actually a good thing. Plus, there is an excess of available biotin in raw egg compared to the amount of avidin. It is also recommended by Aajonus to not eat raw egg yolks alone either, as it creates imbalances when on a raw diet (this doesn't apply on a cooked diet). He did the experiments on animals, feeding them raw egg white and raw egg yolk separately, and it made them extremely hungry, they required twice as much food, had huge imbalances emotionally, caused obesity, water retention, all kinds of problems. So, if you go to a restaurant, you can request the egg white to be included in your steak tartare, just like Aajonus did. What about salmonella? Salmonella is already on our skin, in our eyes, our nose, our mouth, recycling dead cells. They are beneficial bacteria, not pathogenic. Of course, this isn't medical advice. Look into Aajonus and more broadly into terrain theory vs germ theory. Don't refrigerate eggs. Only in the USA do people do this. If you wash the egg, you remove the protective membrane around it, then health departments require them to be refrigerated. Just don't wash the eggs. Eggs are a bit of a fragile food, many of its natural bacteria die when in cold temperatures, so it's better to keep them at room temperatures, or they will lose digestibility. You can blend raw eggs, however it will oxidize them, destroying certain nutrients. There are three enzymes in the egg white which prevent certain hormones that help certain diseases progress like cancer. If you as little as whip the raw egg with a work, these enzymes in the egg white oxidize within seconds. Raw eggs are a detoxification food. They are rich in cholesterol. If you drink alcohol, eat plenty of raw eggs (before, during, after), and you will avoid a hangover. The cholesterol in raw eggs is very good at collecting the alcohol and other toxins. They also enable the body to make solvents to break down toxicity like cellulite. Raw eggs can be fermented, and aged in various ways. Century eggs, the real ones (which are around 25 years old), can cost a thousand dollars. They transform in all sorts of shapes, they can look like green boiled eggs, jewelry, eggs that could belong to a dragon, or turn into white, black powder. They can give incredible energy and libido. How to eat: If you eat the raw egg white first, then the yolk right after, the raw egg will digest in 27 minutes, otherwise in 37 minutes. It is easier to do so from the shell by poking a hole on each side and sucking from it. This is "Aajonus-style". From a glass is "Rocky-style". Nowadays also called slonking. Make the egg go through your teeth while you drink it, this makes it easier to mix it with saliva, which allows better digestion. That only works if you eat only one raw egg at a time. If you eat several raw eggs at once, they will digest slower. Not an issue, it is still extremely healthy. Therefore eating raw eggs frequently throughout the day, one at a time, can bring a steady flow of nutrients to your body. Eggs are perfect to eat upon waking up, providing quick energy from fats and providing protein for the body to make glycogen from and feed the nervous system. They are perfect to eat in-between meals. Only take a couple seconds and get you going for hours, and whenever you get tired. Eggs help gain and lose weight. It all depends how you combine them. A raw egg eaten alone can lead to weight loss, except if you eat more than around 22 a day to maintain. Aajonus' weight loss protocol relies on eating a raw egg diet for 1-3 weeks and is very effective. Raw eggs can help remove cellulite, strip down toxic fat (which is fat that was used to store toxins). Eggs eaten with other foods, or several at once, don't have this weight loss effect. They are very good to eat with other foods, such as raw meat (steak tartare). You can easily eat 3 raw eggs with your raw steak. There are many recipes, from raw pastries, to sauces like mayo, milkshakes, ... where you can keep the egg raw and whole.show more
