To those like this guy, shouting "Close the border"... I would love to hear him explain how Biden "opened the border"? What exactly is Biden doing differently than Trump in regards to border security? Let's look at the FACTS: - Biden's border policies are not much different than Trumps. One thing he did do is try and stop the separation of children from parents or sending unaccompanied children who enter the US back into Mexico alone. - The 2023 government funding package that Biden signed into law provided Border Patrol with $7.15 billion, which was a 17% increase from the year prior. The funding included: - $65 million for 300 new Border Patrol agents - $60 million for 125 new personnel points of entry - $230 million for new technologies - Biden is using strategic fencing combined with more border security and technology to try and limit those coming in. Trump's idea for a wall from sea-to-sea would take a decade+ to build, require seizing tens of thousands of acres of private land, and not even work well. - Before leaving office, Trump tightened sanctions on Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua, hurting their economies and forcing people to flee north towards the US. He also cut down on most legal forms of entry meaning that even more people wanted to come here illegally. If you want solutions, at least be honest about the problems and work together to correct them.show more

🌟 "SHOULD I BUY AN IPHONE FOR TRACKING?" 🌟... tl;dr at bottom I've been using a facecam and Nvidia tracking for a long time and upgrading to a used iphone 13 combined with vbridger, the difference is HUGE. Here is my take on it! Why is Facecam > iPhone? ✅️ More affordable, esp for those using android phones ✅️ More convenient. If you launch Vtubestudio, there's a setting where your webcam automatically turns on, which is great. ✅️ Can track pretty well in the dark IF you already have a good webcam for night tracking. ❌️❌️ Stiff tracking at times ❌️ Not good at tracking specific mouth movement Why iPhone > Facecam? ✅️✅️ You can make the most of your model, since movement along the X and Y axes are a lot more accurate and wider. Also tracks eyes and overall face better. ✅️ More EXPRESSIONS. If your rigging allows for it, things like cheek puff, and tongue are able to be tracked. As far as I know, I cannot do this on facecam. ❌️❌️ WAY more expensive or requires that you have an iPhone already. Needs more set-up (need phone stand right in front of you, need to hook your phone up to a charger at all times, phone could possibly overheat as well if it's old, so you might need a cooler). TL;DR For me, if you have an extra 200 to spare for WAY better tracking, I would 1000% recommend buying a used iPhone on Amazon. iPhone X is the BARE minumum, I would recommend 12/13 so that your phone does not overheat. I do not need to use a cooler for my used iPhone 13. Being able to use my rigging to its fullest makes the model feel so so so different (in a good way). Feel free to reply with any questions, I will try to answer them!show more

more frontend vibecoding tips (results below): WHY YOUR VIBECODED... FRONTENDS ALL LOOK THE SAME AND SUCK: when asked to make a frontend, the agent/llm will default to the center/average of its training data (in a very loose sense). through the training process, the model essentially converges on some default UI style. it's very capable of doing things that are different from this style, but you have to ask! for instance, ChatGPT tends to reply in the same tone for all users untill you interact with it and instruct it differently ("be sassy", "eli5"). the second reason is that most of us are not good at coming up with designs and describing them precisely (see my tweet on a crash course in common components, which i'll link below). treat frontend generation just like any other eng task! you need to provide a good detailed spec. TIPS: 1. give ur agent screenshots of designs you like (you may not know the right words to describe them but the agent will! a pic = 1000 words) where to find ui inspo? Behance, Dribbble, Mobbin (Mobbin is paid but worth it!) 2. ask ur agent for proposals, this helps "seed" different directions so the final frontend stands out. don't be afraid to go back and forth. 3. ban certain tendencies: no Inter/Roboto, no shadcn (controversial), no gradients, no emojis 4. encourage the agent to be extreme and make bold decisions, not safe ones. i think that the underlying models tend to get taught during RL/fine-tuning to make conservative choices that produce reasonable but boring frontends 5. give ur agent Figma MCP. the best results will come if you mockup your vision in Figma first. 6. Ideally choose an agent with vision capabilities TLDR: Most people are tremendously underusing agents for frontend design. They are much better than you might expect.show more

The final mint for ARC Stellars. ⏳ We've always... looked at building ARC from a community-first approach. Today, as part of those efforts, we are announcing our final batch of minting for ARC Stellars as we look to close the mint at 888. ➡️ Why 888? In the last 2 years, we have learnt a lot about what is needed for a community to grow and thrive. Building a community involves constantly optimising for connections, relationships and emotional bonding. In addition, ensuring that it thrives requires a huge amount of work to constantly deliver value to each and every member. Keeping our community small, close-knit and maintaining our curation principles will put us in a better place to achieve the above. ➡️ Who are we looking for? We are on the lookout for builders and investors in Web3 and Web2, based in growing and developed crypto/tech hubs all across the world, including Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Dubai, US and beyond. Our priority is to ensure that every new member is able to bring fresh, added value to our community. Therefore, please spend time on your application and help us understand more about you and what you could bring to the collective as a member and contributor. Please share any relevant information that could be helpful in verifying your profile, such as links to your company website, resume, portfolio, etc. Also, link your strongest social media profile and ensure it's public. ➡️ What are the dates that I should look out for? Applications will start on 15 Aug, 2PM (UTC+8) here: To apply, you will need a referral link from an existing Stellar. Successful applicants will be informed via email, starting from 2 Sep, 2PM (UTC+8). You will then be provided with information on how to mint your ARC Stellars NFT and Fyrian, our curation token. If you do not hear from us, it is likely that your application lacked the necessary information to proceed to the next stage. ➡️ Things to note: ✨ The mint will be on a FCFS basis. Once we hit 888, we will close the mint ✨ Ensure that there is at least 3ETH + gas fees in your allowlisted wallet ✨ Add [email protected] to your email provider's 'Safe Senders' list ➡️ What happens after 888? There will be no more direct mint at 3ETH. You can choose to purchase any listed Stellars on the secondary market, but you'll still need to apply and be reviewed to mint Fyrian and join our community. If you have any other questions, reach out to our ARC Helpdesk volunteers like NFT_Unker 🇸🇬, 0xSteamboat, LegallyBullnde, 852luk.moca 🇭🇰, etc. 😊show more

Guys will see this kind of thing and think... it’s instruction, but they don’t read the fine print: 1️⃣ This girl is married yet still posting thirst traps online 2️⃣ She is clearly ADVERTISING herself for someone; someone who is NOT the husband (the husband already has her!) 3️⃣ Further, she is bragging about what she is able to get her husband to do and how easy she has it (i.e., he is way more invested in her than she is in him) Many men assume that, “The easier and more comfortable I make life for my woman, the more indebted to me she’ll be for all that comfort and ease, the more grateful she’ll be for how spoiled rotten I’ve made her, and the less motivation she’ll have than ever to look for other guys!” This assumption is based on one very WRONG misunderstanding of women, however: That what women really want is ‘stuff’. Material comforts. ‘Nice things’. It is easy for men to get this misunderstanding, because women will constantly tell you they DO want ‘stuff’. Just like how children will tell you they want stuff: • “I want this present!” • “Will you buy me that gift?” • “A new version of that came out! Can we get it?” But if you spoil a child rotten, that does not make the child ‘forever grateful’ to you. Likewise, spoiling a woman rotten does not make her forever grateful either. The harsh reality is a woman’s loyalty has NOTHING to do with how much or how little you spend on her. You can spend on her if you want to and if it makes you feel good. But you should treat it like charity; it is like giving alms to the poor. That is, it is not an action you should expect anything back from. You can spoil her rotten but still have her posting thirst traps online, showing herself off and advertising for other men. (In this chick’s other videos, she shows herself getting a nose job, and looking at the camera flirting and ignoring her man even when he is on camera next to her paying her attention. This husband is a placeholder.) Likewise, you can spend nothing on her at all yet have her be fiercely devoted to you. If you want a woman to actually be LOYAL to you: ✅ She needs to do things for YOU. She needs to work hard in the relationship. She needs to invest in it. She needs to be putting thought into how she is going to keep you satisfied. ✅ She needs to be getting it from you hard enough in the bedroom that she is so sexually sated she doesn’t even want to think about other men or feel any need to bother to act outwardly flirtatious in public to entice other men in. ✅ She needs to be at least a little more attentive to you than you are to her. There is no such thing as ‘true equality’ except in the imagined world of Platonic ideals. In reality, someone will always be working a little harder to gain the other’s attention. For an actual healthy relationship, the one working a little bit harder MUST BE the woman! Again: buy her stuff if you really want to. But, like spoiling a child rotten, don’t delude yourself thinking that, “If I keep her comfortable enough, she’ll be so happy and loyal!” There is ZERO relationship between “spending on her” and “keeping her in-love and loyal.” These two things are completely unrelated. Her devotion stems from her feeling invested in you, not the reverse.show more

Let's talk about agentic product design. Every company has... its own design process. What has always worked for me is spending long studio hours with our product team, dissecting things into pieces and putting them back together. In those sessions we look at value, usability, simplicity, aesthetics, behavior, storytelling, generics, and emotional mapping. I've been crafting products this way for as long as I can remember. Product work at Lemonade isn't for the faint of heart. This obsession over every detail is hard work, but I believe it yields better results and builds stronger talent. One of the things I love about our design and product team is how this process became a second nature to them. Feedback is fast, professional, and tension free. But in our latest session, something was different. One of our designers used Figma and Cursor to build a mockup that was so advanced, it was almost ready to be shipped. It was an incredible glimpse into a world where a single designer working on top of modern low code infrastructure will be able to launch production grade experiences for products with millions of customers, and with LoCo, I expect this to become a reality at Lemonade in just a few quarters. But there's a problem to watch out for. An interesting phenomenon I've noticed over the years is that the higher the fidelity of the work being reviewed, the more defensive people become. When someone shows up with something polished, they tend to resist feedback. They've already fallen in love with what they built, and it's hard for them to accept rejection. Radical candor feedback works best at an early stage of the project, before people get attached and feel the need to defend their work. This session was no exception. Because the work was so advanced, the review became binary, and its maker became defensive. Happily, we all caught ourselves in time to acknowledge this new dynamic and started figuring out how to go back to obsessing about every corner radius, shade of white, and word. When reviewing agentically coded designs, we'll try having our designers bring in more than one option, as well as the open Cursor project so we can make changes in real time if needed. We'll see how it goes, and if this is of interest, I'll update what we learn.show more

Highway Extortion or Toll Collection? Brutal Assault Raises Questions... in Bengaluru mysuru highway A disturbing incident from the Mandya district in Karnataka highlights the misconduct of toll plaza employees on the busy Bengaluru–Mysuru Highway. Mahesh, a young man, is said to have been assaulted after he argued with toll staff at the Gananguru toll plaza over an insufficient FASTag balance. The attack happened two days ago, according to reports, when Mahesh, with his friends, pulled up at the toll plaza in a car. During the routine check, it was found that there was insufficient balance on the FASTag account associated with the vehicle. What was a minor inconvenience turned into a vicious confrontation.According to reports, Mahesh asked for a little while. He apparently tried to reverse his car and called friends on the phone to try to arrange payment or to get help, it was said. But rather than help sort out the issue, toll staff reportedly verbally abused him.Things soon escalated further, with toll workers allegedly seizing Mahesh’s mobile phone and assaulting him, officials have reported. It is said that they chased, manhandled and beat the young man down with “goonda”-like behaviour, bystanders said. The assault has been met with anger, especially as toll plazas are supposed to treat commuters with professionalism and safeguard them from harm. Video of it on his mobile phone is now on the internet, circulating across social media. Visual evidence has been instrumental for highlighting the severity of the incident. "There's yet another incidence of the issues that plague toll plazas all over India, whether it be over FASTag balances or payment points, which leads to clashes from time to time," said Mr Sharma. FASTag was also initiated to facilitate toll payments and eliminate holdups for payees, but events like these have demonstrated that staff need to be better trained to respond to disputes peacefully and legally. A viral video will be investigated by the authorities.People and commuters have appealed to the authorities to take strong actions on those charged, who will, apparently, have to be prosecuted for a payment dispute that was never violent. Mandya toll assault is a reminder that convenience must be combined with the good behaviour of responsible human beings on systems. Holding toll staff accountable and imposing strict guidelines for working the sites for staff must be a top priority to prevent incidents like this in the future. Karnataka State Police S. PERP DEXs & This Week Let’s take a quick... look at what’s happening in perp DEXs this week: RISEx plans to move to mainnet after a reward-based testnet competition on its own chain. The project will launch with limited access codes, so I recommend trying to get one. A major new player is about to enter the perp DEX market! Reya’s trading competition ends tomorrow. The team has also launched a new ambassador program. We’re getting closer to TGE on Reya. Miracle has integrated Nado into the system. After HL and Extended, this is the 3rd perp DEX added. Hibachi launched its first vault. GAV is currently yielding 35%. They surpassed 200k TVL in a short time. One of the most underrated perp DEXs. Pacifica is offering a 50% fee discount on RWA products until March 31. It’s actually quite easy to earn points from OI. On Paradex, fiddy.dime - priv/acc 🦡’s “price shame” is getting worse. The project sits at only a $5M mcap and $26M FDV. Lighter’s $LIT is now below $1. Their “genius” CEO still doesn’t understand that a project is nothing without its community. After TGE, they tried to dump on loyal holders who supported the project for over a year and forced them out with price pressure. Many OGs left. Now he can buy his trash coin at whatever price he wants. Good for him. edgeX🦭 will have its TGE on March 31. Hopefully it will be a good one and set a positive example for the perp DEX market. Based will have its TGE on March 30. The allocation to the community is extremely low, and despite criticism, they didn’t revise it. Expectations dropped from 300–500M FDV to 50–100M FDV on Polymarket. The team is ignoring everything. On TGE day, they’ll likely lose their last blind supporters. They didn’t even open the blind boxes they distributed. That’s how confused they are. StandX — I think the overly positive sentiment and “TGE is coming soon” expectations are unrealistic. There are only 4 pairs. Trading is exhausting, expensive, and difficult. The system needs improvement. They’re not ready, and progress on the perp side is oddly slow. A fast TGE is not possible under current conditions. There are fewer serious traders than you think. If someone inactive for weeks in the top 1000 only drops 10 ranks, it means participation is low. A warning to AG.stand: you are falling behind competitors, and the world is not just Asia. Grvt delaying TGE was a tough decision and of course had consequences. I assume the team calculated this. But if they delay again, they’ll likely face backlash from the community. Variational — Looking at OI and volume, it’s clearly one of the surviving perps. It’s easier to earn points now compared to a few months ago. BULK — I’m not farming it, but White Rabbit is. The testnet is now public. According to them, it’s a fast and well-built platform. Nado has a strong following. I sold my NFT. If they allocate only ~8% to the community, it could cause serious backlash. Hotstuff — I’m not in, but White Rabbit is farming it. They launched a new builder program. Last week, 2,359 users received points. Still relatively low participation. There are constant competitions — including trips to Thailand and other rewards. But pairs are still limited. HelloTrade is still stuck in whitelist phase. Extended is one of the projects managing its process well. If they execute a clean TGE, it could set a strong example. Architect — I haven’t seen anyone actually using it. Feels like Alice in Wonderland. ‼️ 01.xyz — We contacted them about an issue a month ago, and they still haven’t resolved it or even responded that they can’t. With this level of communication, it’s a huge red flag. If I were the CEO, I’d fire the entire communication team. Backpack 🎒 🚮 Hyperliquid 👑show more

I just sold my startup Talknotes for $200,000 on... acquire.com 💸🤯🤩💰🥳🎉 I launched it last August when I was looking for an idea I could grow with paid ads, and made a MVP in one week. I took it from $0 to $7500 MRR in just 11 months. 👉 Here is how I grew it from zero: 💡 Idea: I got the idea when I tried to write a tweet using Google Doc's transcription tool, but it was terrible. And I was pretty sure I wasn't the one too lazy to type. So I made my own solution, and Talknotes was created. The audience is pretty broad so it was a perfect fit for Meta ads However… ✅ Validation: My rule is to only reinvest what the project generates, so, no ads until I make enough cashflow ❌ Listing on startup directories + a few Twitter sales generated $700 after 10 days. Yes, it's not much, but more than enough to show there is interest in the product and tell me to keep working on it 🤩 I started adding the features users requested, but the launch effect started to wear off and daily revenues quickly went to $0 after a few weeks 🫥 I got depressed and almost gave up on the app... 😔 But luckily, my friends and Dan Kulkov pushed me to continue And I'm glad they did because In October, I launched on Product Hunt 😸 and it blew up 🤯 It got Product of the Day and reached $1500 MRR thanks to the media coverage 🚀🚀 Until then, everything was done using vanilla JS/CSS/HTML + Node for back end. It's simple and easy, but I saw the limitations, so I remade the app using Nuxt to make it easier in the future 🏗️ (thanks to @blackevilgoblin and Piotr Jura for the content/courses! Tim Bennetto as well for the basics!) After that, I took a break and then launched ads on Facebook. The strategy is simple: Catch people's attention, and show them how the app can help them improve their life. No need to over-complicate 🙅♂️ Making good creatives is 80% of the job when doing ads on Facebook, most of the technical stuff is done by AI now. Thanks to the boost in traffic, I implemented a feedback loop: 1) Get new users 👥 2) Learn to know them with the onboarding form 💬 3) Make more ads based on the data you get from onboarding 📝 And it completely blew up. MRR doubled in ~2 months However... In May, I had a bad burnout 🥵😩 Multiple bugs slipped into the app, and I had to spend 2 days fixing everything in an emergency while revenues plummeted. This completely fucked me up mentally and had a hard time working on the app after that ( 💀💀 So I decided to list it on acquire.com and made a Twitter post ( I listed it for $200,000, a pretty low price considering the revenues and fast growth. I could have gotten $300,000 if I accepted payment over time, but $200,000 today is better than $300,000 tomorrow for me. 🚨 The process went smoothly until we tried to use Escrow, which almost fucked up the whole deal. (details: I got extremely lucky because the buyer really wanted to buy the app, but this could have ended the deal. We had to wait over a week to get the money back from them, even tho they said they already refunded it. But luckily, after threatening them, they sent it back the next day 🙃 The buyer finally got the money back, I transferred every asset to him, and he sent me the wire. With the profit made from the app + the sale, and other projects, I'm 30% away from being a millionaire 🤯 With this amount, I can pretty much retire in Asia if I want to. But that's just the beginning, I’m going to launch new projects soon! 🚀 But before that, I need to take a real vacation and detox. My brain is completely fucked up by those last 2 months. I gained weight, and got brain rot from scrolling all day waiting for the acquisition to move forward 💀💀 Surprisingly, doing absolutely nothing is 10x more exhausting than working 15h per day 🥱 Now, all this might sound like an overnight success. It is not ‼️ This is the result of 7 years of failure and working like a madman. I launched over 40 projects in those 7 years, and most of them failed. But a few took off, and that’s all I needed All those weeks working 15h/day without weekends and vacation feels soul-sucking when you don’t see the end, but this is what took me there You only need to win once to snowball everything. Work hard, focus, fail a lot and keep shipping fast. 🚀🚀 Thanks to you for reading until here, and thanks to everyone who supported me 🤞show more

Been building this little brand for almost three years... now with Grant Eastey and Ejay ODonnell. That’s my wife and I packing our first orders in our tiny garage that couldn’t even fit a car. But in the end the garage found its purpose. There’s something special about just going for it. We just wanted to make some hats for dads that we didn’t see out there for ourselves. Everything else was dad bod humor, mowing the lawn, ugly sneakers, etc. Being a dad is so much more than that. Being a dad really isn’t any of that funny stuff. That’s just the weird brand social media has given us. We’re about to cross half a million hats sold soon and still see ourselves in that tiny garage. Just trying things. Seeing what happens and doubling down if it works. The brand has become so much more than we ever imagined. I don’t enjoy the notion of becoming a “DTC brand”, just become a brand. Become a community and movement. You should see the notes we get from customers saying our hat helped them become better parents, our hat helped them keep trying to have children, our hat brought their kids joy when their dad passed away, our hat showed up and changed the life of someone deciding if they wanted to go on. I don’t care about the metrics. Obsession over CAC and ROAS won’t create this. Building something with meaning is so beyond any of the acronyms we see here on a regular basis. At the end of the day it’s all about trying. You just need to try. It’s as simple as that. I used to think there’s so much to risk by trying. At the end of the day it’s usually ego or fear. And two things are true. Ego decisions are solely based on your perception of what you’ll look like to others, which will never matter in the end. The second thing is fear. Fear usually only lives within YOU. Nowhere else. You make it up and decide how to act from it. Greatness is on the other side of fear. There’s no pressure over here. I was born into project buildings in Poland. “Making it” happened long before the brand started. Making it was getting out of Poland and into the US at the age of 7. On our pod yesterday Nate Lagos📈 asked me why I even stay on X when having a successful brand. The answer is simple. I personally want to give away as much free game as possible. I don’t know it all, not even close. But I want to help others break through and get their ideas into motion. Everyone is charging for courses and slack access. I get it, but it’s not how I care to move. There’s plenty to go around for everyone and if I can help then I’d love to. Gate keeping is weird. Pass it on. Help others win. Looking back at my time in that tiny garage I miss it. The excitement of a new idea forming. Hand packing every order and writing notes. Not caring if it works but trying and having fun. Going for it. To this day. 95% of all creative is Canva and iPhone. Free Shopify theme. I run all marketing. No employees. Great partners. It’s beautiful. One more time. JUST GO FOR IT.show more

The conventional route from Mangalore to Coimbatore is via... Madikeri - Mysore - Satyamangalam. On this trip I Decided to try investigate two alternatives. On the forward journey I used the coastal highway through Kerala which is a true alternative and will get even better when Kannur bits are done and with a better east west highway from Kozhikode to Palakkad. On the way back though I tried something different. One of South India’s longest mountain drives. It’s almost as the crow flies. I expected a long and tiring drive through the hills but it was surprisingly pleasant. Exiting Coimbatore I drove to ooty. I chose the Kotagiri way rather than Connor. You need to do an online epass to enter the Nilgiris’s which I did on my way. A great breakfast at the Travertine Bungalow in ooty and we headed down via Gudalur. Kalhatti wasn’t open for non TN43 cars heading down. Gudalur is suddenly a bustling town. From Gudalur we headed to Sultanbathery. It’s a most gorgeous town with a lot of prosperity and cleanliness. I haven’t seen a better kept small town under 1 lac population. I’m outing Sultan Bathery as an incredible small town for India. Then we skirted the forests of the tri junction of TN KL and KA and entered Karnataka from Tolpetty-Kutta. The roads in the hills were fantastic except in Karnataka. Very stop gap inconsistent road surfaces with no marking poor shoulders and random junk and debris everywhere. Coorg is the most prosperous between Wayanad and Nilgiris yet karnataka has a long way to go on general beautification, cleanliness and nice roads. Karnataka is definitely the least well managed southern state. Madikeri Mangalore is good and fast. Overall about 9 hours of driving and and hour or two for stops. If you love driving, this road never leaves the mountains and it’s 16-24 degrees through. Beautiful hill drive. Funny enough, the driving time was exactly the same. The stops I took were longer. Maybe fatigue from navigating two track roads. Not a single dual carriageway on this whole route.show more

Alaska. Putin and Trump. The meeting that was both... awaited and feared. The outcome. By Roman Alekhin To discuss this further, the key point to understand is this: Two and a half hours behind closed doors is too little for leaders of nuclear powers if they are just starting a conversation—but too much if they were merely posing for cameras. This means the real work happened earlier—quiet, working discussions “behind the door” that never made it into the official communiqué. These are what stopped Trump from imposing secondary sanctions; this is where the exchange of conditions took place, terms that won’t be disclosed until both leaders decide the time is right. I suspect Syria was discussed, as well as the “Trump Bridge” (instead of Zangezur), the Middle East, and much more that isn’t yet visible to the naked eye. The public part? Pure theater. The point wasn’t to negotiate in front of the world or sign something, like Trump did with Armenia and Azerbaijan—minor players, important only tactically. The point was to send a signal: the presidents of Russia and the U.S. are shaking hands and smiling again, no knives behind their backs. This signals that a new reality has arrived, one that Europe, Ukraine, and everyone accustomed to building their worldview around the idea of “Russia’s isolation” will now have to reckon with—including those within our own countries. Trump’s comments on Fox News were deliberately vague—he’s a master at leaving room for maneuver. But the key takeaway is clear: the pressure will now shift from Moscow to Kyiv and Brussels. This is evident even in the final format—not a word about a “no-conditions” ceasefire, which was Europe and Zelensky’s main demand. This means the discussion on a final peace has been postponed, but within a clear framework: Zelensky must exit the war in a way that lets Europe save face. Russia’s red lines have long been clear: non-aligned status for Ukraine, return of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions within their administrative borders (not the frontlines), lifting of sanctions, and real democracy in Ukraine without persecution of the Russian language or the Orthodox Church. These conditions will prolong the conflict for some time. Zelensky will need to stage a fighting retreat to the administrative borders—this will allow Europe to save face. But the logic is already visible: Ukraine’s defeat will be framed not as a “crushing” but as a “peaceful settlement.” Six months—that’s the timeframe in which we’ll see the dynamics. If the front accelerates, the deal is working. If it stalls, not all pieces are in place yet. But the main thing is already done: Russia is back in the game, not through gray negotiating formats but through a handshake on American soil—even if it’s chilly Alaska. (Though we have warm ties to the region, as seen in the wreath-laying for the “Heroes of ALSIB” and the meeting with Archbishop Alexy of Sitka and Alaska.) For the world, this is an image where smiles are worth more than signatures. For Trump—a chance to show he’s the only one who can “make peace.” For Putin—a symbolic victory: Russia is not a besieged enemy but an equal player. For Europe and Ukraine—the beginning of a painful new phase where they’ll have to accept the inevitable. In these talks, there were no winners or losers in Alaska. In Alaska, both presidents won, while those who weren’t there—lost, or at the very least, didn’t win.show more

One year ago today, I met President Trump &... asked him how he would repair the military from the damage done by the COVID shot mandate & hold leaders accountability. He said he wanted troops to be reinstated with back pay & would hold leaders accountable by “firing their assess.” One year later, the number of reinstatements is abysmal and there is no accountability for senior leaders who carried out unlawful orders against their subordinates. In this video and others it is clear Trump & Secretary of War Pete Hegseth intend to bring as many service members back as possible. The sabotaged reinstatement process is overly tedious & complicated. The linguistic framing of reinstatement policies is Orwellian Biden-era lies. Benefits promised to SMs are withheld, & no senior leader was explicitly fired or held accountable for COVID tyranny. Under the current policy, SMs aren’t receiving full back pay as the pay they should receive is deducted from anything they earned as a civilian from the date they were kicked out to their reinstatement date. The current policy language fails to acknowledge all were coerced by the mandate & distinguishes between the involuntarily & the “voluntarily” separated which precludes those who were coerced, punished, & left rather than wait to get kicked out from receiving backpay. Language such as “separated solely for not getting the shot” is used rather than inclusively considering everyone who would still be serving if not for the shot. Returning SMs need to go through the MEPS (military entrance processing station) & the BCM/NR (board of corrections for military/naval records) process & submit W-2s to show how much they earned as a civilian since being forced out. Even if they return to service, there is no establish guidance or policy to help them get their careers back on track. What’s more, bc there has been zero accountability, they have to return to work for the same “leaders” who punished them thru carrying out an unlawful order. Under the current guidance, I would receive nothing and am considered “voluntarily” separated as I didn’t leave “solely” for COVID shot refusal even tho I lost out on deployments, team time, & the career opportunity to teach at West Point for not getting the COVID shot & left rather than wait to get kicked out. Yesterday Under Secretary of War Anthony J. Tata published new guidance that failed to implement anything dozens of us affected by the mandate recommended to him in a “listening” session last month. He stated, “We're fully committed to supporting our warfighters impacted by the COVID vaccine mandate. Last month, we held a reinstatement listening session to better understand their concerns.” His memo outlines the actions OUSW (P&R) took to address them & next steps. It’s not just ignoring what we said, it’s running out the clock and disenfranchising the thousands of service members of conscience Secretary of War Pete Hegseth wants to return to formation. The only saving grace is the reinstatement of COL Kevin Bouren. If courageous & bold actions aren’t taken, tens of thousands of troops who left bc of the mandate will never return, the damage will go unrepaired, leaders who carried out the mandate will continue to shape the military culture, and this WILL happen again.show more

Wow. WOW. WOOOOOOOW. So um, that first Wildcard+Thousands stream... was... *amazing* and also... a *lot* 😅 In the end, it was *exactly* what we were hoping for - a true stress test of ALL these systems coming together for the first time. We are SO grateful for the thousands of people who showed up today to play, attend, tune-in and help us PLAYTEST all this new stuff. We can't wait to see you all again at NEXT WEEK'S EX2 EVENT! So, now let's talk about how it went... Stuff that worked: - Our community SHOWED UP. Oh boy did you show up 😅. Our servers were straining under the load... which is good actually, in fact it's the whole point. Even more importantly, we have already received insanely valuable feedback, bug reports, stuff people loved/hated - and it's only been a few hours since the stream ended. I can't even explain to y'all how valuable this process is. Yes it's stressful, it reminds me of trying to keep Words With Friends online during that first insane year, but it's EXACTLY what we were hoping for (NEED) to turn this into the polished, top-notch game and streaming experience we are on a mission to deliver. I truly can't thank y'all enough, and hope to see you again when we run it all back again next week 🥹 - The stream itself stayed up and was mostly stable! Phew 😅. For context, ThousandsTV is not a twitch wrapper, it's a web3-native streaming tech stack built we built specifically to connect game, web/mobile, and blockchain together all at the same time. There are a LOT of moving pieces going on behind the scenes. - We brought viewers INTO THE GAME! Viewers showed up in the stands of the arena, with connected wallets/assets, triggered actions/rallies from chat, and were seen and heard during the whole stream. - The brand new 2v2 build of Wildcard was (mostly) stable and our players and viewers seemed to be having a blast down on the field and up in the stands. It was thrilling to watch Team Blue dominate, even though Team Red held their own in game 3! - Our production crew did an insanely good job running the stream, managing the players, shoutcasters, and talent, and producing a top-notch show. Of course we will work hard to make every stream better than the last, but I was super proud of how our team "rolled with the punches" during today's event. Stuff that didn't work (and/or needs to be dramatically improved): - Although it's fun to see chat going crazy, chat spam is actually something we are passionate to FIX. As you can see from the attached video, chat spam dominated today's stream and made it impossible for anyone to even see anyone else's messages. We have some GREAT ideas for how to fix this and actually turn chat spam into a FUN and exciting and not annoying thing - but those improvements didn't get shipped in time for this event. - Credits purchasing flow needs a LOT of work. As I'm sure y'all know, bringing money on chain is pretty complicated, and although we've been working hard to make this as seamless as possible, it still needs a TON of improvements. Many users who WANTED to spend money today weren't able to and/or ran into frustrating bugs in the credit purchase flow. Fixing this is obviously a top priority for our team. - Rallies need a LOT of work. Spectator-interactive features like rallies are at the heart of our vision for Wildcard. These "stream apps", as we call them, are the UNLOCK for how spectators, viewers and fans directly connect and interact with their favorite competitors, content creators, and communities. The current rally feature HINTS at this potential, but it needs to be WAY easier to understand, use, and have fun with. Improvements are ON THE WAY. - Referees were only partially working. Referees are a key innovation of the Thousands platform. They are AI-driven "personalities" (NPCs) that pay attention to everything that's happening in the arena, both on the field and especially in the stands (i.e. in chat, during rallies, etc.) The referees then make "calls" at the end of every match, rewarding users for their engagement and participation. Unfortunately, the referees weren't fully functional and seemed to drop the ball on recognizing everyone's contributions (especially people who showed up holding valuable assets such as Wildpasses in their wallets, and people who boosted those rallies with credits.) What's happening next: 1. We are combing through ALL the logs from the event right now, to make sure we don't miss a SINGLE action that our viewers and fans took during the event, including what they brought in their wallets (i.e. Wildpass holders!), any credits that were purchased, rallies that users engaged with, etc. This information is normally processed by our referees, who then determine dynamically how they're going to distribute $WC awards. We were originally hoping to complete this process and the subsequent airdrops within a few hours after the event, but given the amount of data, we need a bit more time to run these scripts (and airdrops) in batches instead of all at once, and make sure ALL of the data is being included. IMPORTANT: I will keep y'all updated in real-time here on twitter/X as this process is ongoing, and let you know the moment it's complete and all the awards have been distributed (i.e. when to go check your wallets 😎) 2. PLEASE keep sending us your feedback and bug reports. Open a ticket on our Discord and let us know what you loved, what you hated, and especially what we need to FIX. Given the overwhelming response to this event, it will likely take us several days to process everyone's feedback and fix all the bugs, but we WILL NOT REST until every ticket is closed/resolved. Thank you in advance for your patience. 3. We turn it up another notch next week. As our dear friends Wolves DAO just announced, the Wildcard Exhibition Event #2 is streaming LIVE from the WOLVES DEN AT GDC next Friday! If you missed out on all the action today, DON'T WORRY, because as I keep saying: we are just getting warmed up (and there is a LOT more b that needs to be distributed, get what I'm sayin??? 😎) Finally: Just wanted to say THANK YOU, again. Truly, from the bottom of my (our) hearts. Your excitement and enthusiasm for what we're building is why we do this. Even (especially, in fact) when you tell us all the things you want us to improve. We thrive off this feedback, it's how this game and this platform go from good to GREAT. I am so grateful for those of you who are taking this journey with us. SEE YA NEXT WEEK!!!show more

Welcome to the world’s first On-chain vehicle Reservation System... & Marketplace! But what does that mean to consumers and the automotive industry as a whole? 🚘🌎 As with all new tech, there is an education process. The internet made people’s lives easier... our Marketplace will do the same for automotive buyers. It offers numerous benefits for car buyers that until now, did not exist. Top 10 benefits of using the DeLorean Marketplace and why it will change how you purchase your next vehicle: 1. Peer-to-Peer Ownership Transfer 👥 Unlike traditional manufacturers, DeLorean enables fully transparent, peer-to-peer trading of reservation slots via NFTs - no dealers, no middlemen, and no hidden fees. 2. Real-Time Liquidity for Build Slots 🏦 Most car brands treat reservations as non-transferable or refundable only under strict conditions. The DeLorean Marketplace allows users to resell their build slots at market-driven prices, creating real liquidity. 3. Blockchain-Verified Ownership & History Build slot ownership, transfer history, and transaction details are recorded immutably on the Sui blockchain, drastically reducing fraud and improving trust ✅ 4. Staking Incentives for Holders💰 By staking $DMC with their build slot NFT, users earn rewards while in queue … an unheard-of incentive in traditional car reservation systems. 5. Flexible Exit for Buyers Under Financial Pressure😌Traditional reservation holders have no options if their financial situation changes. DeLorean enables resale on-chain, allowing owners to recover value if they can’t follow through with the purchase. 6. Collector & Speculator-Friendly📈 Buyers can trade their reservation multiple times without ever taking delivery of the vehicle, making it attractive for collectors, investors, and Web3-native users. 7. Transparent Pricing and Offers⚡️ Through features like bidding, collection offers, and open listings, users engage in a dynamic, transparent marketplace - unlike opaque dealer pricing or pre-order queues. 8. First-of-Its-Kind On-Chain Vehicle Marketplace DeLorean is the first automotive brand to offer an end-to-end on-chain reservation and commerce experience, giving it a significant technological advantage over legacy automakers👍 9. Fiat or crypto payment options 🪙 Over 560M people around the world hold or trade crypto currency. For those looking for an alternative payment option to fiat, DeLorean now provides that option. The digital asset community is far too big to be overlooked by traditional automakers. 10. It’s the DeLorean way to be ahead of its time and to change norms🦾 What may be a small education process now, may just be the future of the way vehicles are sold. Today marks the beginning of a fresh, transparent and community driven approach to how automakers should treat their loyal customers. Welcome to the DeLorean Reservation System & Marketplace DeLorean Motor Company powered by DeLorean Labs built on Sui "Web3 isn’t the obstacle—it’s the upgrade. #TABCShowcase 🏀 The Top 10 🎙️ A lot to... breakdown from Saturday at TABC where all 522 teams played at least once, but these are the 10 talking points I’m focusing on. 1️⃣ 🎥 Reese (lilskip) Alston’s ascension is fully underway. Elite shotmaker who creates real separation getting to his spots. On a court with both baselines packed with college coaches, he was the SHOW. 2️⃣ Been saying it for a long time but Amare Guerra is a dude who simply gets the job done as a PG. Tough finishes, deep range and excellent passing vision. 🎥 3️⃣ Carter Cowboy Basketball is FULLY LOADED. Amarion Hunter “whiteboii” as a tough lead scoring guard, tons of defensive length in their frontcourt, and got a big boost from Landen "Fats" Higgs in my first time seeing him back from injury. 4️⃣ It looks like there’s another top level team in the works in Beaumont 👀 Payton Jones & Ephriam moore Jr. make a terrifying duo to try to defend and there’s a lot of good pieces on this BU Timberwolves roster. 5️⃣ Love the infectious energy that @7LSpartanHoops plays with. Starts with 2027 Isaiah Santos refusing to be outworked & filters down to the scoring of Sean .J. Mwesigwa and Jose Martins. Will be a legitimate contender in 6A again! 6️⃣ 🎥 Elijahgibson08 stock has EXPLODED over the last two weekends. Playing himself into a very good situation with Harker Heights Knights Basketball. Coaches need to check him and David blount out if they haven’t already - very recruitable prospects! 7️⃣ Seems like there’s always a big performance from an AtascocitaBasketball prospect at TABC, this year’s (so far) belongs to Jachai Cantave. Natural bucket getter with great footwork and feel! 8️⃣ Steele Basketball backcourt is FORREAL. Jamail garland, Maurice Eddie and Logan Gonzalez can give you buckets in a hurry! 9️⃣ There’s a real squad out west Permian Basketball as ‘28 KJ Miller and ‘26 Vari Beck have been dropping huge numbers all weekend! 🔟 Waxahachie Boys Basketball ‘26 duo of Trae Nunn & Michael Gatewood AKA MG3 looked hungry today and both took advantage of the platform. Combined for 46 in a win I was courtside for. Back tomorrow for the final day of the nation’s best Live Period event! #GASOshow more
