The house doesn't always win. Four anecdotes in which... "I was there" when game companies got fleeced. Thrice by individuals, once by their own publisher. First, id Software and our non-network code. John Carmack told me that while our game worked great on a network, they had hired a guy to do the code over dial-up internet. He lived out-of-state (IIRC, California). I was told that he was a brilliant programmer, and that his current boss knew he was coding for id as a side gig. AND that when he finished his current project, he'd leave his company and come work for id Software. 1/8show more

The craft of engineering is rapidly changing. At Ramp,... we built our own background coding agent to accelerate faster. We call it Inspect. It wrote 30% of merged frontend + backend PRs in the past week. It’s powered by OpenCode, Modal and Cloudflare Developers. It runs fully in the cloud, and starts in seconds, letting every builder work at the speed of thought, no setup required. Today, we’re open sourcing the full blueprint so anybody can build their own Inspect. Just give our spec to your current coding agent, and let it build your new favourite.show more

We're getting to the point where AI isn't just... helping us write code; it can help launch the business behind that code too. One of the more interesting examples I've come across is **Lovie** Instead of jumping between legal websites, paperwork, and incorporation services Lovie lets founders form a US LLC or Corporation directly from AI coding tools like **Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf** through its MCP-first workflow. If you're already building your product inside your AI coding assistant, the setup process can become part of that same workflow instead of another tab to manage. For founders, indie hackers, and developers shipping fast, that's a pretty compelling idea. Flat **$29/month**, company formation in minutes, and it fits naturally into the AI tools many developers are already using. Feels like another step toward AI becoming a true operating system for builders, not just a coding assistant.show more

AgentLinter is here! Is your agent sharp & secure?... I built AgentLinter, a linter for and agent config files. Here's why. Whether you're vibe-coding or agent-coding, your AI's output quality comes down to one thing: how well you wrote your But managing these files properly? Way harder than it looks. 🎯 The Silent Failure Problem Vague instructions like "write good code" let the agent interpret however it wants. Output gets inconsistent, but nothing throws an error. The failure is silent. Anthropic's own docs say write "Use 2-space indentation" not "Format code properly." But as the file grows, spotting these with your eyes alone is nearly impossible. 🔐 The Security Problem People hard-code API keys and tokens directly into or and commit them, way more often than you'd think. AgentLinter stats show 1 in 5 workspaces has exposed credentials. .gitignore doesn't catch secrets buried inside markdown files. 💥 The Consistency Problem Multiple config files = contradictions. says "be a friendly assistant," says "concise, direct tone." The agent gets confused. references files that don't exist. Past 5 files, these conflicts triple. So I thought: is code. Code has ESLint. Why doesn't this have a linter? 🔍 What AgentLinter Does It diagnoses your agent config across 8 categories: 1) Structure: file organization 2) Clarity: instruction specificity 3) Completeness: missing definitions 4) Security: exposed secrets 5) Consistency: cross-file contradictions 6) Memory: session handoff 7) Runtime Config: gateway/auth settings 8) Skill Safety: dangerous shell commands & injection patterns Each scored 0–100 with concrete fix suggestions. Write "be helpful" and it tells you to specify response length, tone, and format. Find an API key? Instant CRITICAL alert to rotate. 🔒 Privacy-First & 100% Local Everything runs on your machine. Files never leave. Only the results are shared, and you can turn that off in settings. This matters — these files can contain system prompts, security rules, and personal context. Fully open source, MIT license, 100% free. 🛠️ Multi-Tool Support Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and Clawdbot. Detects for project mode, or clawdbot.json for agent mode and adjusts diagnostics automatically. 🚀 Get Started with one line npx agentlinter Node.js 18+, no config needed. Run it, check your score, fix what needs fixing. Happy vibe-coding & happy agent life! 🤙 Website: Github:show more

Karpathy's Agentic Engineering finally has proper tooling! (built by... Google) Karpathy defined agentic engineering as the discipline that separates production agent work from vibe coding. The core skills he listed were spec design, eval loops, and security oversight. The problem has been that practicing this still requires a different tool for every phase: - editor for code - a terminal for scaffolding - a browser for testing - a cloud console for deployment - and a separate framework for evals. Every transition is a context switch. The solution to production-grade Agentic Engineering is now actually implemented in Google’s Agents CLI. It covers the entire workflow in one place for scaffolding, evaluating, and deploying ADK agents. One setup command injects 7 ADK-specific skills into a coding agent's context, which lets it handle scaffolding, evals, deployment, and enterprise registration through natural language. I tested this end-to-end by building a RAG agent from scratch using Claude Code. It scaffolded the full project from the ADK agentic_rag template, generated 20 eval scenarios with LLM-as-judge scoring, and returned a quantitative scorecard. Finally, it also deployed everything to Agent Runtime and registered the agent to Gemini Enterprise, so the entire org can discover and use it. The video below shows this in action, and I worked with the Google Cloud team to put this together. Agents CLI GitHub repo → (don't forget to star it ⭐ ) I wrote up the full build covering all six steps from install to enterprise registration. It includes the eval scorecard, the instruction loophole the eval caught before deployment, and what the deployment process actually looks like end-to-end. Read it below.show more

Introducing: Control Tower. After running agencies for over a... decade, three problems were clear: 1. Task management tools aren't built for client work—the constant back-and-forth, the private and public feedback loops. 2. Financial tools don't understand service businesses. We need to know what's coming in, what clients owe, when they're paying, and how that stacks up against what we're paying our team. 3. We need easy tools to track and manage our team's capacity in real-time. But here's the thing—these tools need to work together. When you work with clients, your team's capacity dictates the projects you can take on. The projects you take on dictate your revenue. And the pace of those projects restarts the entire cycle. That's what Control Tower does. Today we're announcing the foundations: Tasks, financials, and capacity. Very soon we'll be introducing Chief—the AI layer that connects everything and works proactively to keep your team moving. We built this from the ground up to be agent-native. What we have today is good. It's not great yet. There's a lot of work to do, and a lot we haven't even shipped to our beta users. I'd love for you to check it out. Sign up for the beta—we're inviting people as quickly as we can and doing personal walkthroughs.show more

Today in Munich, Germany. An important day, and there... will be new steps toward our shared security – that of Ukraine and Europe. On the agenda is the first joint Ukrainian-German drone production enterprise, as well as bilateral and multilateral meetings with partners. We need more of our joint production, more of our resilience, more coordination and effectiveness of our shared security architecture in Europe. The most significant thing we can achieve together is ending the war with a dignified peace and creating reliable security guarantees for Ukraine and for all of Europe – so that no one in Europe is afraid of being left without protection. Thank you to everyone who is helping!show more

Today we're shipping the governance layer enterprise AI was... missing. Every organization running AI at scale faces the same choice: turn off AI connections to tools entirely, or let agents have full access to everything. Today we're launching a better path: precise control over connections, actions, and models across every surface. The goal is simple: IT gets visibility and control, teams keep building, no approval queue in between. 6 new capabilities in Zapier today: 1. Action restrictions at the endpoint level 2. Managed app connections with domain control 3. Bring your own model through AWS Bedrock 4. A queryable audit trail 5. Agents GA with MCP governed across every surface 6. Workspaces (GA later this quarter) One set of rules for your entire AI stack. Try it now. If you've had early access, let me know what you think.show more
