I think I’m close to a burn out. For... the last few weeks it feels like I haven’t been able to think. Let alone do deep work. My brain just draws a blank. Super frustrating. Even thinking what tiles I should put into our new house feels like too much already. The first few weeks I tried to force myself to work anyway. Obviously made it even worse. So, this week I decided I’m just going to take a break. Go on hikes, drive my bike, read books and play video games. I had this before and eventually it would go away. Made me realise though that I should put guards into place for the next time. Building a team is part of this. Focus on what I like to do and get help with all other tasks. our concert on Apple Music Live is officially out.... i have not toured since my first album. even though i feel like the stage is my second home, i always felt like more of a studio hermit and like i needed to be off the road to become me 🙋🏻‍♀️ when we made C, XOXO, i knew i had to tour this body of work. these songs, these lyrics, these drums, this ENERGY - was MADE to be experienced live. it’s a world of women with bark and bite, of a Miami Spring Breakers fantasy, of BMX bikers, of bravado, of friendship 💘, of an eternal Miami, Dade County summer. 💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘 what premiered last night is the first show we ever did in Lisbon, Portugal and it was the first time I’d been on stage in a couple years. We were all so nervous but we left it all out there. not once did these shows ever feel like work. if anything going onstage felt like going to a party and blowing off steam no matter what was going on. i am so grateful to every single person who made this show happen. every character on stage - from every single one of the XOXOGIRLS who form such a crucial part of this energy, to our BMX boys, to our robot dogs, to everyone behind the scenes who poured their creativity, work ethic, and talent to make the show of my dreams. thank you Apple Music for sharing it with everyone who couldn’t be there this summer for our mini festival run. and like i said, i can’t not tour C, XOXO. so…. see the rest of you soon ;)show more

I watched Robot on the Road and honestly I... did not really know what to expect going in At the beginning it just feels like a pretty normal little road trip setup with this robot hitchhiking around Japan and it almost gives off a chill slice of life vibe But it does not stay like that for long The more it goes on the more you realize the robot is doing some really questionable stuff and the way it focuses on women without their consent makes the whole thing feel really uncomfortable By the end I was not really sure if I was supposed to find it funny or just feel weird about it Overall it feels like one of those shorts that tries to mix dark humor with awkward situations but it mostly just ends up being unsettlingshow more

Fake/impersonating accounts on X have plagued large accounts like... mine for as long as I can remember. It's one of the biggest issues we face on X and this problem has been negatively affecting our followers for years now. Even worse, there there has been nothing we could actually do to combat it. Until now. In the last week alone, over 190 fake "Credibull" accounts have been identified, targeted, reported and taken down by my personal umanitek guardian agent. Each and every one of these takedowns has been anchored to the OriginTrail DKG (decentralized knowledge graph), with all evidence related to the takedown documented and stored on an immutable, verifiable context graph. Over the next few months I'll be actively tracking these takedowns with weekly updates on the takedown count and in the next week or so I'll be posting a long form article that breaks down the tech behind this much-needed solution. I've been testing out Windows 11's new Haptic Signals... feature on compatible hardware, and I think I love it. I'm someone who yearns for small UX details like this, and I'm so happy to see Microsoft leaning into subtle but quality UX implementations like haptics across the Windows Shell. These new Haptic Signals provide a subtle bump when interacting with certain UI elements and actions, such as snapping app windows or dragging files in File Explorer. The feedback response feels great and intentional, and makes using the OS feel more satisfying. There's still room for improvement, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed with this first implementation. It's only supported on a handful of devices for now, but that should change over time. I've always loved the haptic feedback layered throughout Google Pixel phones, and now Windows is getting its own version of it. More UX niceties like this, please!show more

No more elbow tendonitis and other chronic injuries from overuse We can thank Wollf’s Law and Davis’s Law Wolff’s Law states that bone tissue remodels and strengthens itself in response to the mechanical stresses and loads placed upon it. Davis’s Law states that soft tissues (like ligaments, tendons, and fascia) adapt by lengthening or shortening based on the sustained stresses or positions they are held in over time. The fitness industry is full of examples of crab mentality. Crab mentality is the attitude where people in a group try to pull down or sabotage anyone who is trying to improve or escape or problem solve, like crabs in a bucket pulling each other back down.show more
