So, he repeated this process twelve times. After the twelfth time, he drew a monkey and encased it within a geometric pattern (a yantra) so that it wouldn't incarnate. Hence, the idol came to be known as the 'Yantrodharaka Hanuman' or the 'Hanuman held in the yantra'.
