What began as an aircraft with an engine problem... quickly turned into a full emergency evacuation after an American Airlines landed and No. 2 engine area caught fire. The evacuation unfolded in two striking ways. In the first video, passengers rush out through a deployed emergency slide, sliding down to the ground and moving away from the aircraft as smoke fills the area. In the second, another group can be seen standing on the wing after escaping the cabin, waiting to be brought safely to the ground as emergency crews responded. I can Imagine the fear and adrenaline the passengers felt standing on the wing with smoke rising around them. The incident happened at Denver International Airport on March 13, 2025. Despite the fire and chaotic evacuation, all the passengers and crew members managed to get out of the aircraft safely.show more

There’s a special kind of pain when the math... is hard, and the AI is also annoying. Grok 4.5 is a solid workhorse here. For vibe math in Programming Language Theory, it’s keeping up with Sol 5.6 and feels way more fun to work with. Some models want to write a whole museum of documents. Some keep poking you to “Continue” like a needy browser tab. Grok just gets into the math and keeps the session moving. Very useful when the problem is already hard enough without the AI becoming another assignment. Grok xAI / Writer: Annette, Grok Imagine Designer: Jannéshow more

🎺 The Gabriel's Horn also known as the Torricelli's... Trumpet is a mind bending geometric paradox where an infinitely long shape encloses a strictly finite volume with an infinitely large surface area. The reason for the juxtaposition lies in the different mathematical rules used to calculate 3D volumes vs 2D surface areas when dealing with exponential quantities to infinity. As the horn stretches out infinitely, its opening gets so narrow that it becomes smaller than the width of a single atom. But the paradox exists only in theoretical math, in the physical world an enclosed volume is proportional to the surface that bounds it. 🔗show more
