Snapshot of something Mike Vrabel expressed frustration with this... morning: He sees Hunter Henry (bottom of screen) trying to communicate with the official 15 yards away/do the right thing alignment-wise … and still get penalized. “I’ll have to try to get some clarification on that — how we are going to do this going forward,” Vrabel says. Earlier today, in his radio interview, Vrabel shared that he was irked with over-officiating at the line of scrimmage. “If our guys are going to look over; I get that we have to be legal. But for as long as I can remember in this league, the refs are going to try to officiate proactively and work with the players. “If it’s a hold, call a hold. If it’s defensive pass interference, call defensive pass interference. But at the line of scrimmage, if players are going to try to get the formation correct … we’re not going to tell them that they are either on the line of scrimmage or they have them off? They’re just going to sit there and tap their knee? “I don’t know what that is. That’s frustrating that we are that literal as an officiating department — if that is indeed what they are telling them. … “I didn’t know when we were going to start officiating the line of scrimmage and not communicate with our players. Because in the end, the relationship the players have with officials, I think can be really positive and they can explain the mechanics they’re looking for.”show more

This is why I believe so strongly in the... power of sport. 🏆 Watching South Delhi Superstarz become Delhi Premier League T20, right there at the final, was a moment I’ll carry with me. Last year, our women’s team brought home the DPL title. This year, the boys have followed it up with a championship of their own. And with our women’s team now heading into the finals, there is still more to look forward to. What excites me most isn’t just the trophies. It’s seeing young cricketers get a platform, take responsibility, play without fear and discover what they are capable of. Congratulations to every player, coach and member of the Superstarz family. You have shown what happens when talent meets opportunity, belief and hard work. Enjoy this moment. You’ve earned it. Proud of you, boys. ❤️ One championship secured, but the journey continues. Here’s to another big performance from our Women’s team. ⭐show more

Dead Space 4 is probably not going to happen,... even though the series has a big and loyal fan base that really loves the games. Chuck Beaver, a writer and producer on the first three Dead Space games, explained the reason on a recent podcast by sharing the simple business truth that “The numbers just aren’t there” to make another game. The 2023 remake sold about two million copies, but EA saw it as a disappointment because they wanted much higher sales. The older games sold about the same amount. Beaver noted that years ago a new Dead Space game needed around five million sales to continue, yet today, with much higher production costs, that number has jumped to 10 or 15 million copies. He called pure single-player horror games “a dinosaur fossil” in the game industry now because big companies prefer live-service games that keep making money for a long time. He added, “It’s disappointing that we can’t take a beloved franchise to its logical end but… I understand the numbers.” Glen Schofield, who helped create the series, recently pitched Dead Space 4 to EA with a plan to reuse assets from the remake and save the company 30 to 40 million dollars, but EA still said no. For now the series is on hold as the team has moved on to other projectsshow more

So it’s over. United States was ranked 16th coming... in to World Cup so 2nd Round exit is on par. Final score shows how far US has to go in this sport. Belgium is a world powerhouse. As host US was successful, filled stadiums, people who came here seemed to have fun, they sold a lot of TV commercials. There was a lot of corporate hype and some people believed they were contenders. But the US has reached QF just twice in 96-year history of WC and won’t here in 2026. I would have loved to see them win. Who doesn’t love a winner? This is not a negative post. But like one of the post-game commentators said, “this was a reality check.” And the reality is soccer is NOT our sport. Don’t know that it ever will be. I’m fine with thatshow more

I cannot comprehend what happened today. I literally cannot... wrap my brain around the fact that you’re no longer here. Your last text to me was on Friday night, making a joke about the student driver sticker on my car as my son learns to drive. I had no idea that would be our last laugh together. Matt was so much more than a coworker—he was a close friend for years. Back when I did traffic at WISH-TV, we were constantly texting, bonding over how much we hated getting up early, keeping up with the morning commutes, and building a friendship that only grew deeper over time. We talked about everything: our struggles, spirituality, fitness, and relationships. He became like a brother to me. I will forever cherish our late-night coffee meetups just to talk about life. Matt was actually the one who brought me to WIBC. He told me, “Johnette, these people are amazing and you have to come work here.” By the grace of God, it all worked out. I’ll never forget showing up on my first day and receiving the biggest hug from him. Or how I used to steal his protein bars 😂 Or how he’d be sore from working out, and I’d send him stretching videos because he was always complaining about his hips. When Matt came on my podcast, he was so open about his own struggles that it gave me the courage to share mine. Because of Matt, I found the strength to share my past journey with substance abuse publicly. Today reminded me that at Radio One, we are far more than just coworkers—we are a family. We cried, hugged, and grieved together for a man we all loved and adored. I haven’t been able to stop crying today, and I am still trying to process everything. But I know I’m not alone in this grief; so many of us are feeling the deep void he left behind. Matt, I love you. You will never be forgotten. Thank you for loving all of us so well and for never giving up. You ran the race, and now it’s our turn to carry the torch for you. Until we meet again, I will cherish every single moment we had together. You left a lasting impact on so many lives, and you finished well. 🖤 93 WIBC Indianapolisshow more

It’s hard to believe we're on the final day... of our campaign to save the farm and keep our special Esther Magic in Campbellville with Operation Angels. In just two short months, we've raised over half a million dollars to help bring this dream to life. Although we haven't hit our goal yet, what we've achieved is incredible. With over 6,100 contributors from 39 countries totaling over $560,000, this is a global affair in typical Esther fashion. This project is designed to generate revenue to support sanctuaries and rescue organizations and serve as a model for revenue-generating programs at existing facilities. What sets us apart is our approach to drawing revenue from a new demographic to ease the pressure on current donors and an educational program to better equip animal organizations for the challenges they face. This project represents everything Esther stood for: kindness, compassion, inclusion, and support. I can't think of a better way to honor her and the community of like-minded people who make our little corner of the internet unique. The campaign will remain active until 4 am ET on August 1st, so we have less than 17 hours to give it our best and finish strong. To anyone who hasn't contributed, I hope you’ll consider doing so today because we could certainly use your help. We may not reach our goal, and that’s okay. Don’t be discouraged. It just means we keep going because come hell or high water, we’re going back to Campbellville. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far and to everyone who has liked, shared, and commented on campaign posts these last two months. You have all played a critical role, and I am eternally grateful for your support and encouragement. It is an honor and a privilege to be part of this project with all of you. It represents the end of an era and the start of a new and exciting one. We’re going to do amazing things together, and I can't wait to get back to work. See you all live tonight for our final campaign Garden Chat at 6:30 PM ET. xoxo Steve.show more

Once your culture is gone, it isn't coming back.... To preserve a culture, you must continually read the books and ideas that created it. That's why we started an online book club to study the greatest texts of Western Civilization. Every month, we study a new great work — so far we've covered Augustine's Confessions, Dante's Inferno, The Count of Monte Cristo, Don Quixote, etc. Currently, we're reading Virgil's Aeneid. Western Civilization has given us the greatest books ever written, but it takes effort to read them, and even more to read them well. That’s what we’re doing here, slowly, together. If you want to support our efforts, please consider a paid subscription. It makes a huge difference to the time and resources we can dedicate to this project. Paid members get: - Live community book discussions (biweekly) - Deep-dive essays to guide you through the books we’re reading - The full archive of book reviews, essays, and our 100 Great Texts reading list - Access to all community discussion threads (via the subscriber chat) - Ability to vote on what we read next This is not school. There are no grades, no credentials, and no status games. Just a community of readers serious about recovering what’s been lost, and using it to build something better. Welcome!show more

The energy at the Turning Point USA Women’s Leadership... Summit this past weekend was absolutely unmatched!🔥 I’m still riding high after speaking to a room full of fierce, passionate women who are ready to stand boldly for truth and protect the next generation. Seriously, it was the ultimate soul-filling experience. I loved catching up with old friends, making new ones, and meeting so many of you who are out here doing the real work on the ground. Erika did an incredible job producing the event, and we spent time together strategizing how we will build on this energy to reach and empower even more young women. Leaving that conference, I am more convinced than ever that the culture is shifting and women are rising. Seeing so many young leaders completely unapologetic gives me so much hope for the future. Thank you to everyone who came up to say hi and share your stories with me. Let’s carry this fire back to our communities and keep the momentum going!show more

One year ago, our X account disappeared. No warning.... No explanation. Just gone. With no way to explain what had happened, fear, uncertainty, and disbelief started to spread. People questioned what was happening. People assumed the worst. Silence filled the gaps. At the time, we didn’t even know why we’d been suspended. We attempted to create other accounts, but they were also taken down. That’s when it became clear this wasn’t random. We had to dig, investigate, and piece it together ourselves, with no X channel to explain anything publicly. I won’t pretend it didn’t hurt. It did. But instead of reacting, we had an internal conversation that changed everything. We made a simple decision: If we couldn’t talk, we would build. If we couldn’t defend ourselves in public, we would let the tech do it for us. So we went quiet. And we went all in. 💪 Day after day. No noise. No hype. Just execution. Over that year: • Final testnet phase completed • Mainnet went live • The routing layer started breathing, live on • Real workloads began moving • Nosana integrated directly into our execution layer • Strategic partnerships formed, including with Ozak AI • Relay launched to bridge Web2 enterprises into what we’ve actually built: attempted to create other accounts, but they were also taken down⚡️ Most people never saw it happen. And that’s okay. The people who mattered did. Getting our X back today isn’t about a social account. It’s symbolic. It closes a very difficult chapter. And opens the one we’ve been preparing for all along. 🚀 Now the outside world finally gets visibility into what’s already real. Not promises. Not decks. Not theory. Live infrastructure. ✅ Live routing. ✅ Live execution. ✅ The new website will be live very soon. The whole stack is finally coming together, and we can’t wait to show it to the world. This isn’t incremental. It’s a fundamental shift in how compute is routed. 2025 was about resilience and building through silence. 2026 is about adoption, scale, and making some serious waves. The internet routes data. We route compute. It’s good to be back. ❤️ Here’s a preview of the hero video from our new website, coming very soon. $OGPUshow more

🚨🗣️New: Thierry Henry reacts to the USA vs Paraguay... stoppage for TV commercials: “I’ve spent my entire life in this beautiful game — as a player at the highest level, as a fan, and now as someone who analyses it every week — and what unfolded during that USA versus Paraguay match left me deeply frustrated. The fourth official standing there on the touchline, arm raised high, instructing the referee to hold the restart… not for any injury, not for tactical reasons, and not even primarily for player hydration in that scorching heat. No. It was because the broadcast team hadn’t finished airing all their commercials. That’s not football. That’s a television show pretending to be a World Cup match. The beautiful game is being strangled by greed. Players are out there in the heat, ready to restart, momentum building like a storm about to break — and we pause everything so the sponsors can cash in. It’s like stopping a symphony mid-crescendo because the advertisers want their jingle heard. Football didn’t conquer the world by turning into American sports with endless timeouts and ad breaks. We had rhythm, flow, emotion that flowed like a river. Now? It’s dammed up for dollars. This isn’t about hydration or player welfare anymore — it’s a slippery slope where the soul of the game is sold piece by piece. Fans deserve better. Players deserve better. The referee on that pitch looked like a puppet on strings controlled from some broadcast truck. Enough is enough. We need to protect what made this sport the greatest on Earth before it disappears completely.” The World Cup should be football’s cathedral. Instead, we’re turning it into a shopping mall with a pitch in the middle. And here’s the question nobody wants to answer: if the fourth official is waiting for commercials, then who is really running the game? FIFA? The referee? Or the broadcasters? Because the moment football starts asking advertisers for permission before asking the players, you’ve crossed a line. The World Cup is supposed to be the showcase of football. Not the showcase of who paid the most for airtime.”show more

🚨When Ajinkya Rahane Still wanted to play test cricket... but I got no response from selectors🚨 Michael Atherton🗣️: You’re 37 years old now, but it feels like you haven't given up hope of playing Test cricket for India again. Do you have conversations with the selectors, or do you just keep churning out runs? Ajinkya Rahane🗣️: For me, it’s all about focusing on what I can control. Frankly, I tried to have conversations with the selectors, but I got no response. As a player, I can’t control that. What I can do is keep playing red-ball cricket, enjoying the game, and giving my best. I just love Test cricket ,that passion keeps me going. Nasser Hussain🗣️: When you led that legendary 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy comeback after 36-all-out in Adelaide, what was the dressing room like, and how was Rishabh Pant to manage? Ajinkya Rahane🗣️: Adelaide was completely quiet. Everyone was down. But Ravi Shastri’s energy was amazingly positive ,he told us, 'Don't think about cricket for two days, just chill. From Melbourne, we go again.' As for Rishabh Pant, in Brisbane, whenever we tried sending a message to him, he did the exact opposite! So we decided, 'Better not send any message, just let him play his own way!' And he delivered something truly special. Michael Atherton🗣️: How do you view Shubman Gill’s captaincy so far? Ajinkya Rahane🗣️: I'm always a very frank guy. I think Shubman still has a long way to go ,he is still learning the nuances of Test cricket. T20 is completely different, but in Tests, as a captain, you have to be extremely proactive with fields and session planning, especially against aggressive teams like England.show more
