How throwing a frisbee helps groom a proper bat... path. To throw the frisbee down the cage to the back of the net you have to have good DIRECTION & path towards the middle. These 2 key throwing drills focus on body control... and following throws. Many players from youth through HS don’t have good body control to transition from an athletic move (play) into an accurate throw. They also don’t follow their throws. ** Instead they cut themselves off and lose all momentum and direction to target. Following a throw improves “carry” or the ability of a baseball to travel further with the same effort put into the throw. It also reduces stress on the arm. Lastly, when a player follows their throw correctly, it improves accuracy. ** Notice player 1 (LHP/1B) cuts off his follow just a bit compared to player two (C). Key: The faster you sprint into the throw, the more the follow will begin to happen naturally. Both players shown played in college after graduation and both had very strong college careers. These drills, as well as many others, should be done regularly to help players become elite throwers and significantly improve game success. For hitters overswinging that have been selling out for... power and bat speed, try rapid toss. When tossing multiple balls in a row, the hitter can't keep turning; they have to get ready for the next one, not allowing them to keep turning off the ball.show more

Totally agree. We definitely should define a swing and... automating it is great. It's the actual definition that I have a question with. Personally, I think 45 degrees is too liberal (parallel to the foul line). To me, if the bat goes past parallel with the plate/breaking wrists it should be a swing (0 degrees). I'm pitcher friendly, obviously, but I don't think you should be able to hit a ball 300' with a "non swing" ! 😁show more

You get to this tee shot. Be honest, where... is your drive going? 😂 The Players Championship and TPC Sawgrass is getting a lot of attention for the new tree on hole 6. It’s a restoration of a tree from Pete Dye’s original design. Players will have to flight their drives, it will cause lots of tension and I’m guessing at least one player hits the tree! I’m on board. The players need tested and this is a unique way to do it. You wouldn’t want it all the time, but for one of golf’s biggest tests, let’s test them!show more

A lot of hitters confuse being late with letting... the ball get deep. They’re not the same thing. In this video I show it with a simple example. I toss the ball and reach way out in front of me to catch it. That’s what late looks like. The ball already beat you… now you’re chasing it with your hands. Then I toss another one and catch it slightly behind me. That’s being on time and letting the ball get deep. When you’re late, your body and barrel are reacting after the ball passes your window. You’re forced to reach, cut across it, or roll it over. When you’re on time, you can let the ball travel and still control it. Now the barrel can stay through the zone longer, and you can drive it with authority. Deep ≠ late. Good hitters aren’t reaching for the ball… they’re on time enough to let it come to them. ⚾️ Train with an expert. Not an influencer.show more
