While working on a new video with solutions to... the previous one, I found ChatGPT's new UI struggles even more with concurrent updates: entries lose state and stick around for too long (see video). If this was a LiveView app, we would be getting so much flak.😅 --- I believe part of the problem here is having separate mutate and fetch requests on every deletion. The first fetch is cancelled when the second one comes up, causing items to stick around for longer. Many said yesterday that you could do the mutation and fetch as a single request, but that leads to other problems, such zombie entries. For example, imagine you delete link1 and link2 within a brief period of time. There is no guarantee the deletion order in the database will match the order the client receives the response, so you may end up with this: 1. (client) request to delete link1 sent 2. (client) request to delete link2 sent 3. (server) deletes link1 and loads a new list (includes link2) 4. (server) deletes link2 and loads a new list (no link1 or link2) 5. (client) receives link2 response 6. (client) receives link1 response So if you choose to use the latest response (link1), you brought link2 back to life. If you say you will use the response from the last request, events 3-4 can be swapped, and now you bring link1 back to life. Another way to solve this is by basically not allowing concurrent requests at all but that can affect the user experience drastically in other ways. Next week I should publish a video explaining how LiveView tackles this. Stay tuned!show more

Do you use Runway Gen-2 to make AI videos?... This is for you! I built a simple tool to help "extend" Runway videos beyond the 4 second clip limit. Just choose a video, and the tool will give you the final frame -- so that you can drop this back into Runway, and generate another AI video based on it. Let me know if this is useful to you! Link is at bottom of the video and it's live to try right now.show more

Hi everyone, this week I finally received the new... ANyONe Relay! ANyONe Protocol is an interesting DePIN focused on building a more decentralized internet and making our privacy more secure 💯 I'm still waiting to release a video because the new Dashboard isn't active yet but for those interested the most important points that I want to highlight are these: 1) The #Miner is Plug&Play so easy to install, just follow the initial steps and you're fine, once installed you don't have to do anything else. 2) There is no limit for IP but if for example you put 2 Relays in the same #IP it isn't certain that you will have double rewards, because they basically do the same job, to get more rewards it's better to use different IPs. 3) To make the Relay operational it's necessary to open port 9001 in your Modem. Without this operation the #mining will basically not start, so make sure you have a modem or connection that can open the ports. If you have the classic public IP you should definitely be able to do it 4) Currently the rewards arrive automatically every week, usually Friday, and I received 8 $ANYONE as first earnings 👍 Since the new #Dashboard isn't yet operational the #rewards aren't yet clear (which is why I am still waiting to release the video) and personally I expect there will be more 🔥 The only negative note that I have found so far in the project is that: ANYONE #token is only on Ethereum So unfortunately the fees for the swap or even future claims and sendings will not be low, I hope that the team in the future will also consider Arbitrum or Base for the rewards to Nodes 🙏 $ANYONE: Docs to learn more: If you are interested in the project you can order the Anyone on @ampchampment and you can receive it in a few weeks 🚀 They ship Worldwide, Paypal and Crypto are available, and you can use the coupon ILCAPOFOX for a 5% discount! Shop: For Europe I also recommend FreshMiners, they also ship quickly and you can use the coupon ILCAPOFOX3 for a 10€ discount! Shop: #DePIN #Anyone #Relay #Node #Privacy #Internetshow more

A massive repository with end-to-end examples of AI applications... with React! Together with MCP and A2A, the Agent-User Interaction Protocol (AG-UI) is the third piece that will help you build user-facing AI agents. This GitHub repository will give you access to a bunch of examples showing you how to build the following: • Real-time updates between AI and users • Shared mutable state between agents and users • Tool orchestration • Security boundaries • UI synchronization In every one of these examples, you'll get the following: • Client sends a POST request to the agent endpoint • Then listens to a unified event stream over HTTP • Each event includes a type and a minimal payload • Agents emit events in real-time • The frontend can react immediately to these events • The frontend emits events and context back to the agent Check the link in the next post:show more

It wasn’t about the trade but it’s about the... confidence and mind set There are a lot of stories behind this account and it make the best of my trades of the year so far. I built a clone of the Yeezy store with... Next.js. This was a fun challenge — the site has some smooth animations and feels very fast. But it was bothering me that I couldn't use the browser back button. Can we do better? So I rebuilt the site with v0 and Motion. Here's how it works: 1. When you click on a product, Motion is able to animate the original position of the product in the grid, to the zoomed in product detail page. 2. During this transition, we also shallow update the URL with the `/p/slug` route for the page. 3. If you press the back button in the navbar, or use the browser back button, or press escape — all options will take you back to the main product listing page. 4. If you reload the page while looking at a product, or someone sends you a link to a specific product, it still works! This is the best parts of a SPA and MPA mixed together. In the future, I can make this even better with View Transitions (I wasn't able to get the product animation just right, but if you can I'd love to see it!). I also took some creative liberties from the original design. The whole 1/2/3 size thing, where you needed to click the "?" to see SM/MD/LG was strange, so I just went directly to those sizes. Similarly, I prefered the more traditional style sheet/modal with the background color change, versus the full screen takeover. If you wanted to actually hook this up to Shopify now, you can swap the cart implementation with Next.js Commerce, which has all the APIs you need + optimistic writes 🔥 Should I make a video walking through the code?show more

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough... to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them for—nothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your “job” to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. You will need them, as they need you now. THIS IS WHAT PAST WISDOM KNEW. The elders of the past never found the need to piss on the youth and hope for the best. THE YOUTH ARE OUR BEST, let us all find ways to change it, even if every aspect of “the system” wants us to berate them into the ground.show more

Think you’ve got the diagnosis? Think again!! This is... a case where the diagnosis is not as important as the lesson it teaches you. Watch the video and then check back for hidden portion of this post to see what the answer is... And what lesson you should have learned from it ! Avidly enhancing T2 dark lesions in the subependymal region with increased diffusion signal. If I said that description to you—even without seeing the images—you would say lymphoma! Was that your answer? It was mine! And we are both wrong! It turned out to be metastatic melanoma. But the lesson here is that just because you were wrong by pathology, doesn’t mean you were wrong on the imaging If I saw a case like this again, I would still say lymphoma! You won’t be right every time—there will be weird cases. But you are making a bet on the imaging appearance and you should always bet the odds—with the risk that every now and then you might be wrong! So don’t remember from this case that metastases can look like lymphoma—remember that sometimes it’s ok to be wrong as long as you read the case rightshow more

App Store localization is another boring process. You have... to write release notes and update descriptions for every supported language for every release. I used to do that, and in the end, I used English for all languages 😅 So, I create an app to solve this problem. You can create a new version and localize metadata within one click. #iosdevshow more

Hope will always have a home with us. As... I hinted at this morning, I got a sense from the property manager that this tear down ranch house may not be available as a rental for much longer… we could try to buy the lot but the process is long and complicated…and there would be no house standing while it all played out. And we’d be competing against a bunch of local developers. We went in another direction. To be honest this is a plan/project we’ve been working on for the last six months. I’ll cut to the chase. We bought a house under construction four doors down. It’s already part of Hope and the herd’s habitat so the adjustment should be fairly smooth. If you look at the first photo shot from the top floor of our new house you can see our small ranch rental between the blue house and light brown one. We’re moving in. Some of our deer friends have already joined us. See short video shot from our new rear deck.show more

May be the most difficult hurdle for a wrestler... to clear—trusting that the same offense that built the lead is what protects it. The instinct is to protect the lead, but the approach that creates better odds, less regret, and is simply more logical is to keep wrestling the same way that created the lead. Stay on the attack, stay in position, and keep applying pressure. The one who needs to change and create opportunity is the opponent who is losing. So why would you go ahead and assist them in this by back peddling and lead protecting, opening up two windows that weren’t there before? 1 – Stall points 2 – Allowing your opponent to solely focus on their offense as they no longer have to respect your attacks. You hear wrestlers in post-match interviews “We do this all the time in the room! Down 2 with 30 seconds left and working to find a takedown.” Not so much the opposite… “up 2 with 30 seconds left and just have to find ways to back up to protect the lead!” So why resort to something you don’t practice in the most crucial moments of a match—or your season? This is from the excellent series “The Climb” by Stilly Boys on YouTube — a segment from Episode 2: Road to the Big 12s.show more

I was informed that the team will be seeking... a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships. I don’t agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA. Still, if there’s one thing that I have learned over the years: there are so many things that are out of your control, but it is how you respond to these things that you will look back on and remember. I have taken so much pride in playing alongside my teammates for the LA community, so thank you for embracing my family and making this such a special place for us. 2024 began with one of the best training camps of my career. Preparations start now for 2025. Highly motivated, as healthy as ever, and looking forward to playing elite football for years to come. Love you guys.. But coming for it all.show more

I promise you. If you get AIW new tune... you will be missing 30% of audio. Anyone who is in front of you (that includes a little to the left and right) you will not hear. Pay attention to the video on “someone else’s tune.” If you want your own sound to be silent, you will lose more than your audio. BO6 updated to nerf this. I’ve done a ton of testing since launch. I have literally grinded 2 accounts while testing. I know he doesn’t want to lose customers but this is silly to hurt customers audio just to make it sound like your “old sound.” Shit changes. Pay attention to the new video he posted in the first 10 seconds you’ll notice anyone in front of him. So if you want a cheap and accurate tune with FREE updates lemme know and I got you.show more

hot take? #VCTAmericas 1) this is incredibly disrespectful to... the sport, to the viewers, to the opponents and to the tournament organisers and should not be allowed by RIOT in the first place to jump off like that to deny a round. Maybe it is actually not allowed and if thats the case, ENVY should be fined. But if this is actually allowed or wasnt predicted by RIOT in the first place, thats on RIOT. I spoke about this potential problem out loud on day 1 of Abyss release. 2) i understand that this negates C9 of getting 1000 creds and 5 orbs for killing the ENVY players BUT i think this is literally trolling/throwing a round by ENVY. In VALORANT every round is winnable, every round is doable and you just robbed your team off that chance. Not only that, LEV didnt have to use a single utility piece to win this round which saves shitton of cash, and didnt have to rebuy any shields. If you wanted to troll this round, ENVY, at least do it properly and jump off after your opponents planted, so you would waste more time and make them use utilshow more

How to find viable targets for client-side desync attacks:... 1️⃣ Open Burp Suite and intercept requests. 2️⃣ Choose an endpoint that wouldn't usually expect a POST request (e.g GET) and send it to repeater. 3️⃣ Go to Inspector > Request Attributes > Protocol field > Upgrade to HTTP/2. 4️⃣ Send the Modified Request and look for this error message: "Server ALPN does not advertise HTTP/2 support"... 5️⃣ Enable ALPN Override in request settings and send again. If you see "Stream failed to close correctly" then you've confirmed that the server does not support HTTP/2 and is a valid target for desync testing! Want to learn more about desync attacks? On August 6, at Black Hat USA, James Kettle from PortSwigger Research will reveal new classes of desync attack that enabled him to compromise multiple CDNs and kick off the desync endgame! 😲 Stay up to date here:show more
