The government can find out everywhere you have been,... without ever asking a judge. It just buys the information. Most apps on your phone quietly collect your location and sell it to data brokers. Those brokers package it up and sell it on. Some of their biggest customers are police departments and federal agencies. Because you technically agreed to share your location with a weather app or a game, officials argue they do not need a warrant to buy that same data later. Privacy lawyers call it a workaround the courts were never meant to allow. This is not a theory. In 2026, researchers at Citizen Lab exposed a system called Webloc that turned advertising data from around 500 million phones into a tracking tool, used by immigration agents, US police, and a foreign intelligence service. Connect browser automation: Wire up Browserbase so the agent can drive real broker opt-out forms. 3. Do the intake: Give consent, then feed it your info. 4. Whether your hair was combed this morning. That data will lead to robotics breakthroughs. Apple might keep up with its Vision Pro data, but it is too freaked out by the privacy implications of using said data. (On the front are six cameras and a couple of TOF -- Time Of Flight -- sensors that can see everything in your home in great detail). Google has a lot of data, for sure. All my: 1. Email. 2. Calendars. 3. Photos. 4. TV watching behavior. 5. Contacts. 6. Documents and spreadsheets. 7. Files. 8. Location data. So I expect Google's robot will be attractive to many. But how do you see the others shake out over the next five years? Make some guesses. But remember what an AI pioneer told me years ago about AI: it's all about the data. The Chinese ones have huge advantages: the Chinese have more data on their citizens, and many more citizens to boot AND they can make robots cheaper than we can. For almost two years, IF Metall’s own protest barracks in Umeå have been running without any building permit and they’ve been stealing power straight from Umeå municipality’s grid. No permission, no agreement, just free juice to keep their picket signs lit and coffee machines humming. Tesla is dragged through the mud for trying to keep chargers online during your endless sympathy blockades, but when it’s IF Metall’s turn to bend (or break) the rules on electricity and permits? Crickets. This is peak Swedish union logic in 2026: rules for thee, but not for me. If you’re going to moralize about “respecting the Swedish model” and “not creating own networks”, maybe start by paying your own damn electric bill and getting a building permit for that eyesore shack.
