The first version of Stormwind had no districts or canals. The framerate was below terrible. Then I thought of Venice. I grabbed a map of the city and slapped it down on the table the next morning. We took the Cybertruck to pick up mulch and... other landscaping supplies to finish the front yard. It was supposed to be a quick 15 minutes in and out. This couple was so interested in the truck that my wife and I walked up at the end of the video and started talking Tesla! We showed them everything about the truck that we could. While that was happening, another older lady walked up and asked if we could show her the truck too. So my wife finished with the first couple, and I started the tutorial all over again. Just wrapping up my 3rd annual 1:1 trip with... my kid, what an incredible year. Tokyo and Shanghai. He planned the whole trip end to end himself, including the wrench he threw in ~4 hours out that we were going to go with completely empty suitcases, so we flew into Tokyo with just the clothes on our backs. Tokyo was amazing as always and we had no real agenda, we wandered around, bought clothes for the trip, ate Tsukemen every day, walked like 10km+/day, spent an evening at a Japanese version of a pc bang, and generally just enjoyed the city. Shanghai was totally different, his entire trip was centred around wanting to go see The International (TI15). We had camped out at midnight and tried to scoop tickets and they sold out in like 0.1s, and there was 0 reselling allowed. We tried literally everything we could to get them, emailed teams, coaches, announcers, everything and just like no luck for 2 months leading up to the trip. Two people responded SirActionSlacks and Will, and man were they amazing. Both went way out of their way to make the event incredible and to make a 12 year old loves dota have the time of his life. We met up with his friend who was also in Shanghai and just spent 4 days watching dota 15 hours a day in the arena lol. The event was insane, production quality A+, and it was one of the most insane TI finals of all time. Luckily we got to sneak in some time around Shanghai and wandered into some awesome dumpling shops, but ultimately the trip was amazing and he says the best he’s ever had of the 3. By far the best thing I do every year, and would highly recommend to any parent who has the opportunity.show more

The team just sent me this funny video of... how AWFUL the days after the 2020 election were. People were kinda laughing at me, but it was miserable. And little did we know how bad it would truly get under the Biden and progressive retaliation machine. This was when we first locked in with the Charlie Kirk show and kept up real time updates and analysis where Arizona and a number of other states became central. I never want to go back to this feeling. Never. Charlie was adamant that we do everything we could possibly do to fix this in 2024. Tyler Spry: There’s a video that’s gone around on the Internet when I was writing with V, James Essien and Sean Foreman. That video is not the making of any of the songs that made the album, but it was one of the most fun days I had in the studio with the guys. We were just jumping up and down, singing the songs. I think that it was one of the freest days we had in the studio, creatively. So I do hope that song gets to see the light of day.show more

After Tangbula we started heading home. We’d planned to... take the Duku Highway — one of the most beautiful roads in China, and our most direct route back — but it was closed because of rain. That pushed us through Kuitun, where we only stopped because it was on the way. We ended up liking the town so much we stayed three nights. The street food market was great, there was a water park the kids loved, and a massive underground mall with tunnels stretching as far as you could see, branching off in every direction. It was bizarre. I’ve never seen anything like it. The whole city felt alive. I also met a few locals who had studied in Canada or the US and come back home to open businesses.show more

We bought a perfect puppy (completely healthy, with veterinary confirmation and KSU documents). We started looking for a transporter. It so happened that the transporter suggested by the breeder had bad reviews, so I went to search on my own. I found a person who supposedly understands dogs (according to him - super responsible and takes full responsibility for the animal). Of all the possible problems, only a 1–2 day delay in delivery was discussed. Spoiler: they promised delivery in 3–4 days, it took 2 weeks… Before the breeder handed over the dog, this person was constantly in touch, communicating, etc. After the dog arrived in Kyiv from Kryvyi Rih, the transporter (whose name is Artem +380973444587 and his wife Alina +380 95 764 98 86 / all communication was through his wife’s number, which is listed on his website) sent us only one video. Then I explained that we had already paid for the dog and it was already ours, but nothing changed after that. The dog was taken to Moldova and they wrote: “there is no veterinarian at the border who issues the EU certificate, so we are waiting for one to appear.” We were outraged but agreed, because the agreement was for LEGAL transportation!!! Remember this moment, because later Artem (the transporter) will explain everything with this EU certificate. As it turned out later, the dog was with his relatives in Moldova, who also deal with transportation (Ruslan +373 695 71 399). The transportation of the dog was ultimately carried out by a passenger transport company (Baltik Tour — +380 63 060 5614). In the second week, we started calling, arguing, and saying that we would pick up the dog from Moldova and transport it ourselves. Eventually, we contacted Ruslan, and he said that in 2–3 days the dog would definitely be sent to us. All this time, we did not know how exactly the dog would be transported - we were told that it would travel ALONE WITH THE DRIVER. In the end, the dog was sent to us. It was supposed to arrive on March 7–8, but on March 6 at 8 a.m., a woman called me and said: “Your dog is dying, we actually thought it was already dead. I wrote you a message on WhatsApp, but we gave it sugar and it seems to have recovered a bit. Go pick it up and take it to a veterinarian if you want it to survive…” Then we went to pick up the dog 100 km from Warsaw. It was barely breathing. They told us it had just been running. We take the dog, go to a taxi, and they tell us: “Where is the money? Pay or we won’t let you take the dog. If it dies - you will deal with the transporter.” Then we went to a clinic and did tests. With 90% probability, it was a stroke, which led to severe neurological issues: the dog could not walk, eat, or drink, and was relieving itself while lying down. After the transport, it lost 30% of its weight, which has now caused gastritis, it also picked up parasites somewhere, and many other problems. Please, be careful and only trust animals to people you know personally. Oh, and one more thing: when I asked what happened to the dog, I was told: “I left it in the carrier for just an hour, and when I came back, it started screaming, squealing, and lost consciousness.” How could anyone think to leave a dog like that… If we had known this could happen - we didn’t even suspect that something like this is possible in the modern world. And what if we didn’t have money for treatment? What if we didn’t make it in time? This is simply horror and hell, I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.
