Yesterday, I got a parking ticket in downtown LA—my... bad. I pulled into what I thought was a loading zone but wasn't. I was only there for 6 minutes and 34 seconds. But I want you to see my surroundings—encampments in every single direction. City of Los Angeles can't clean the streets but sure can extort $70 a pop from those of us who aren't drug addicts.show more

Today, I was in one of Geneva's parks when... suddenly a plane flew overhead. Because of the trauma I experienced in Gaza, my first instinct was fear. For a moment, I thought it was going to drop a missile on us. Then, a few seconds later, I remembered that I am in Switzerland now, and that I am safe. War changes people in ways that are difficult to explain. Even when you leave, some parts of it remain inside you. My body may be here in Switzerland, but my memories are still in Gaza.show more

My heart is in pieces. I lost my best... boy yesterday. He was 13 but it still felt sudden. I know a lot of you know Homer as he was often in the background of my pics. He was the sweetest, funniest and most loving little guy, and I feel very grateful to have had spent such a good amount of time with him. Yesterday Homer had a massive seizure. I rushed him to the vet immediately and they tried for several hours but we just couldn’t save him. I know it was his time. And I know I did everything I could. But it still doesn’t take away the heartache. I will miss him so much. They are with us for such a short time but have such a huge impact on our lives. Rip my little guyshow more

I'm laying in my tent reflecting on my life... right now..and I have to say, some would say my life situation of being homeless is a sad thing .. because you see people out there who are addicts and in bad situations .. but mine isn't anything like that. Although I havent had a home in 10 years, I see and feel the blessing. I'm so free in life to live how I want in life. Sure while sometimes I desire a bed to come home too.. I get to have a bed anywhere in life I want. I'm so free to live and explore as I please with nothing to tie me down. If I could share any piece of advice, it is simple do not trade your freedom of life for the chains of society and what they deem how YOU should live. I promise in this day and age you can be so free and make money without anyone there to tell you when to clock in, when to eat lunch, when you can use the bathroom, none of that! I hope you all find the bliss I feel in life someday.show more

This happened in my city a couple of hours... ago; fortunately, I am okay, even though my house was completely destroyed... There are things beyond our control, but thank God I am alive. Right now, there are over 1,000 dead in my country, and my city is littered with debris from the earthquake. Several people tried to contact me, but I only managed to get a phone signal back five minutes ago. For now, I’ll be staying at my brother's house while I figure out my situation, it’s all very sad.show more

[ #LenaWordsOfWisdom ] 🦋: I went through a lot.... It wasn't easy. But it was my journey. I never once thought, "Why am I not the lead actress? Why am I not famous yet? Why am I not a superstar?"I never thought like that. I just lived as a girl walking her own path. And I knew that one day, there would be a moment that was my moment. But that doesn't mean the past didn't matter. Every drama l acted in held meaning for me. Every actor I met mattered. They gave me lessons every single one. For those of you wondering, I was able to... call my bank and get my money back 🙏🏻 Thank you so much to everyone who helped me out last night!! Also, I saw a few of you wondering why I even got scammed in the first place. Obviously looking at the accounts now (and a few others i was talking to 💀) I can see all the red flags.. But in the moment I was driving to the stadium from the suburbs after working all day so I just didn’t have time to vet anything. Also, the proof they provided was super realistic.. and I just didn’t have enough ticketing experience to tell the difference 🤦🏻♀️ At the end of the day I’m super grateful I got to be there for Chicago day 1 💜 and I hope my lesson can serve as a PSA for ARMY to always be careful and stay safe when ticketing 🙏🏻show more

As I lay there on the highway, he came... close, still pointing the gun at me, but I lay still, praying in my mind, “Don’t shoot again.” My Blood was everywhere, and he confirmed I was dead before rushing back to the car and driving off, leaving me in my pool of blood around 1 a.m. I lay there in agony, thinking I was going to die. I asked myself why they had to shoot me again. I wasn’t a threat anymore; why shoot me again? That question echoed in my mind. Cars continued to pass without stopping, avoiding my body in the middle of the road. I waved my hands for help as they drove by, but none stopped. I couldn’t move any part of my body except my hands. Over 30 cars passed without anyone stopping. I realized no help was coming; my motionless body lay in the middle of the road. After some time, I tried shaking my legs, and to my surprise, they moved! I was relieved because I thought they were numb. I decided to move my body out of the road. I attempted to stand but fell because the bullet passed through my hip, only my flesh on the right was holding it. I could feel the pain; the other side was swollen. I wasn’t sure how bad it was, but all my waist was on fire. Some drivers nearly ran over me, forcing me to move my body away from the center of the highway toward the pavements that divide the road. That night was brutal. I lay there, bleeding and in pain, for about two hours, knowing that help wasn't coming. I felt sure I was going to die. As I lay there helpless, my life flashed before me. I thought about my family and how I had come to Awka to bury my mom, now I will be buried. I feared for my siblings, who depended on me, and I called on God for help. Only the sounds of birds and the occasional passing car broke the silence, and I realized no human was coming to help me. I called on my late parents, especially my sweet mom, telling her I was coming because I was so tired. My vision blurred, my throat was dry, and I was too exhausted to wave. I prayed, accepting my fate, gave my life to Christ again, and asked Him to accept my soul. Looking up, I saw only darkness, no hope anywhere, just my blood-soaked body. I was becoming weaker, dizzy, and had a strong urge to sleep, knowing that if I closed my eyes, all the agony would go away. So I decided to let go, imagining my friends finding my body in the morning and taking me to the morgue. I imagined being buried beside my mom and how heartbroken my friends and siblings would be. But still, no help came. I could only guess the time, but I knew the night was long, and daybreak was far off. Just as I was about to close my eyes and accept my death, I saw a torchlight in the distance, about 500 meters away. Hope surged back into me. I knew I could get help if I could reach the light, but I was weak, how can I move my motionless body with damaged waist. I tried to stand, despite the pain in my waist. I moved to the pavement divider, trying to pull myself up, but I fell, hitting my waist painfully on the ground. I tried again, holding onto the pavement, moving slowly toward the light, but the pain was too much, and I fell again. Finally, I decided to crawl toward it. Pushing my body along the rough highway surface with only my elbows and arms, I kept low. Whenever I spotted a car, I lay flat, pretending to be dead, hoping they wouldn’t come back and shoot me a third time. The friction against the rough ground gave me cuts, and my arms began to bleed, but I kept moving. Eventually, I reached there and it was aluminum company near the highway and I began shouting for help. I was so cold, shivering, and very thirsty. I kept calling out, “Help! I need a hospital!” After about 30 minutes, they pointed a torchlight toward me, and a few men came out, cocking their guns—around four armed men. Terrified, I started screaming, “Don’t shoot!”show more

🚨When Anil Kumble bowled 14 consecutive overs with a... broken jaw against the West Indies🚨 Question🗣️: Anil bhai, what made you walk out to bowl 14 consecutive overs with a fractured jaw at Antigua? Anil Kumble🗣️: "Mervyn Dillon hit me with a vicious bouncer while I was batting. Blood was pouring from my mouth, and the x-ray showed a clean fracture. The doctors told me I was flying back to India the next morning for emergency surgery. I was sitting in the dressing room with ice on my face, watching Brian Lara walk in to bat. I told Sourav, 'Tape my face tight. I want to bowl.' The physio thought I was crazy, but I told myself: 'I can sit around feeling sorry for my jaw, or I can go out there and try to win a match for my country.' I took painkillers, wrapped the bandage around my head, ran in, and trapped Brian Lara leg-before."show more
