👀 Yesterday’s CS2 update introduced a new test command:... sv_molotov_broken_glass_trap 1 When enabled, T-side Molotovs can leave broken glass on the ground. Walking over it deals no damage, but makes a lot of noise It currently only works with T Molotovs, not CT incendiaries, and is just a test command for now, it’s not live in regular matches ( via djtl )show more

This is how the climate change scam works perfectly.... My thermometer has been outside on the ground all day, it reads 22°, I’m wearing a T-shirt and a sweatshirt because it’s freezing. However, they can say it’s 22° in the UK, they can also say it’s going to be the hottest summer since records began. It makes not a jot of difference, because it still feels like 12/14° out there.show more

So I have been trying to do my own... take on the 4-2-1-3. but it is not for my play style. Will try some more, later on. For now I ended up with a 5-2-1-2 that I like a lot. And it’s surprisingly good against the 4-2-1-3. Anyone wants to test? 🔥🏴‍☠️show more

The iPhone Duo has me thinking about what makes... a foldable phone great. I like the idea of having a larger screen without carrying a separate tablet, but the design has to be practical when folded, too. For me, the real test is how comfortable it feels to use every day, not just how impressive it looks opened up. Would you choose a foldable iPhone over a regular Pro Max.show more

TURKEY JUST MADE THE MOST BULLISH BITCOIN ARGUMENT IN... HISTORY. And they didn't even mean to. The Turkish Lira lost 99.99% of its value. Not 10%. Not 50%. Not 90%. 99.99%. $13,980,000,000 in T-bills sold to defend it. It's not working. This is what happens when governments print money to solve problems caused by printing money. Turkey is not an exception. Turkey is a warning. Every fiat currency in history has trended toward zero. There are only 21,000,000 Bitcoin. No government can print more. No central bank can devalue it. No T-bill sale can defend against it. The Lira chart is the most bullish Bitcoin chart ever made. And Turkey made it for us.show more

#Dhurandhar is what happens when a filmmaker does the... homework and trusts the audience. Every frame feels researched, every beat intentional - no noise, no shortcuts. The narration moves with facts, not fear. And Ranveer Singh, that unwalled, unblinking conviction in his eyes carries more truth than pages of dialogue. This isn’t performance for applause. It’s command. Goosebumps.show more

Not a movie trick A small number of people... can actually change the size of their pupils on command Studies have confirmed this rare ability, including a 2021 case involving a German student who could voluntarily dilate and constrict his pupils by up to 2.4 mm just by engaging eye muscles no light changes, no mental imagery tricks It’s extremely uncommon but it is real.show more

this is the new benchmark for models. 10 iterations... on one generation is where Flux 3 Image starts to add a bunch of noise. I didn't understand at first why the image on the left was drifting so much, whereas on the right it wasn't. After doing a bit of research and reading up on the BFL docs, it turns out it's because when asking it to change hair, it's very hard to apply a stencil to the hair, so it regenerates the entire thing. Whereas when you're asking it to swap a T-shirt, a T-shirt is very easy to trace the outline for, which is basically in-painting. If your object is obvious precise region editing with Flux 3 Image is incredible. If it's not obvious the model is less good. but again you rarely need to go over 5+ iterations. Yesterday I was doing tests with Ideogram 4.5 and I thought it was amazing but I haven't put it through a stress test where the change I'm asking for isn't as easy to trace. I guess now that all image models are getting to the same quality of output, the new benchmark will be how good the vision model is at tracing and inpainting the edits we ask for. I've been doing a bunch of generating and Flux 3 still remains my favorite model for artistic and stylistic choices. It's available now in ElevenCreative.show more

🚨Rahane about leading inexperienced bowling attack🚨 “So in Gabba... we had five bowlers… amongst them the experience was like five or six overs of cricket, that’s it.” •Washington Sundar – on debut. •Mohammed Siraj – only his second Test. •Shardul Thakur – effectively on debut (he had played one previous Test in India but bowled only two deliveries before getting injured). •Navdeep Saini – also involved; he was struggling with a hamstring injury but kept bowling through it. •T Natarajan – on debut, and he had to take two injections in his knees before the Brisbane Test. - Leading experience bowling side, in a most important Gabba test and beating Aus after 30 years. - Rahane deserves more credit.show more

Reports coming out of Bahrain suggest that a U.S.... Patriot interceptor, not an Iranian drone, may have been involved in a blast over a residential area on March 9th, causing civilian casualties. Events like this are rare, but not unusual. SAMs are not designed to hit ground targets. When something goes wrong, they can unfortunately come down unpredictably. Now here’s where it gets interesting. Did you know that, in the past, one of Bahrain’s neighbours looked at a SAM… and tried to repurpose it to hit ground targets? Not an accident. A deliberate attempt to make it work. 1/2show more

Yes — it does work. And this exact trick... is how a lot of keyless cars are being stolen right now. Here’s what’s happening in those doorbell clips: thieves use a relay attack. One stands near your house with a signal booster to “listen” for your key fob. The other stands by your car with a receiver. Your car thinks the key is right next to it… unlocks… and starts. No broken glass. No alarms. Gone in 60 seconds. A Faraday pouch/box blocks the radio signal from your key fob so thieves can’t “relay” it. •No signal = no unlock •No signal = car stays put Police, car manufacturers, and security experts all recommend them because they’re cheap and very effective. Quick tips: • Keep keys in a Faraday pouch at home • Don’t leave keys near the front door • Test the pouch: put the key inside and try opening the car — it shouldn’t work It’s wild that a $15 pouch can stop a $100k car from being stolen… but it can. Anyone here using one already?show more
