What is Shiba Inu’s Shibarium? Shibarium is the Layer... 2 network built around the Shiba Inu ecosystem, designed to make transactions faster and cheaper than using Ethereum directly. Shibarium moves much of the activity away from Ethereum while still using Ethereum as its underlying settlement layer. SHIB itself remains an Ethereum-based token, separate from Shibarium, which is a distinct chain built to support the wider ecosystem. (1) It is designed to reduce transaction costs for Shiba Inu users and developers, making frequent onchain activity more practical. (2) It gives developers a dedicated network for building Shiba Inu ecosystem apps, including DeFi protocols, games and other Web3 applications. (3) ethereum:0x9813037ee2218799597d83d4a5b6f3b6778218d9 serves as Shibarium's gas token, its governance token through the Doggy DAO, and the asset validators and delegators stake to secure the network's proof-of-stake consensus. (4) Shibarium is also designed to expand the utility of the broader Shiba Inu ecosystem by moving activity beyond simply holding or trading $SHIB. (5) A portion of Shibarium's base transaction fees is converted into SHIB burns, an active mechanism running since block 6,206,570 that links network usage directly to SHIB's supply. Shibarium is the infrastructure layer intended to support a broader ecosystem of applications and onchain activity. As adoption grows, the key question will be whether Shibarium can turn its large community into sustained network usage.show more

Pi Network To Change How App Creators Pay Pi... Network (Pi Network) will change App Studio pricing from August 24, 2026. Creators currently pay 0.25 $PI to create or edit an app. The network says the current pricing heavily subsidizes AI service costs. New prices will better reflect the resources required for each app, according to the team. Creators with apps attracting real users can still receive subsidized rates. However, apps used mainly for testing or experimentation may face higher costs. Pi says the goal is to push creators toward useful applications. The network expects pricing to evolve as more data becomes available.show more

🇨🇳💧Move over, bottled water - China's new solar tech... just made desalination cheaper 🔸Chinese researchers have developed a photothermal material that weaves nanoparticles into a 3D evaporation structure, dramatically boosting solar desalination efficiency. 🔸The breakthrough absorbs 90.2% of solar energy while slashing energy consumption by 45.7%. 🔸In year-long outdoor trials, the prototype ran entirely on sunlight—no grid power, no fossil fuels—and successfully irrigated five square meters of farmland through a full growth cycle. Zero energy costs. Zero emissions. Just the sun. 🔸The cost of producing fresh water is already below the price of bottled water—and the advantage only grows with scale.show more

ZK Stack is a modular framework for building sovereign... ZK-powered hyperchains, based on zkSync Era’s open source code. ➡️ Visit the new ZK Stack resource page: ZK Stack gives builders full sovereignty, ranging from the choice of the data availability mode to using your project's own token to decentralize the sequencer. ✅ Mature and battle-tested ZK Stack is the most battle-tested framework, ensuring all transactions are fully verified by Ethereum with the power of ZK proofs. ZK enables validity proofs to ensure the hyperchains' ecosystem state can't be corrupted and invalid transactions can't exist. ZK Stack has been further strengthened by $5M+ invested in audits, $~30M transactions-per-month and ~250k daily active users. ✅ Tailored to your needs ZK Stack grants you full autonomy to tailor your blockchain to cater to your product or protocol use case. A modular stack of ZK-powered components. ✅ Ready for mainstream adoption No matter how much adoption grows, ZK Stack brings the power of horizontal scalability to Ethereum. Just like adding more servers to address specific needs on the Internet, a boundless amount of hyperchains can be created with minimal costs. ZK tech, combined with our state diffs and data-compression approaches, unlocks: 📌 Flat fees regardless of gas price 📌 Privacy by default 📌 Cheap oracles (or any high-frequency protocol) 📌 Ultra low cost Validium accounts 📌 UX magic with native account abstraction ✅ Seamless access to users and liquidity Hyperchains are seamlessly interconnected with hyperbridges — the native and trustless communication protocol of the ZK Stack. It enables any chain to natively exchange messages and transfer value with any other chain, thus tapping into the users and liquidity of the entire hyperchain ecosystem. Unlike classic, centralized, bridges, hyperbridges rely solely on cryptography for security. ✅ Built today, to last forever ZK Stack is rooted in the long-term vision of Ethereum, aiming for subtraction and decentralization. Abiding by the ZK Credo principles, an alliance of developers and maintainers will guarantee the resources enabling this fully open source framework to evolve to onboard the needs of the next billion users.show more

🚨 BREAKING: ETHEREUM TARGETS ZK-BASED L1 VALIDATION BY 2026... Ethereum Foundation member ladislaus.eth says Ethereum $ETH will shift block validation toward zero-knowledge proofs. The move replaces full transaction re-execution with cryptographic proof verification. Validators would rely on cryptographic proofs rather than replaying transactions. The change is outlined under the L1-zkEVM 2026 roadmap. Ethereum’s first L1-zkEVM workshop is set for Feb. 11, 2026.show more

The cycle of life, every instant, in your mitochondria.... The major electron carrier in mitochondria is NAD+. When it collects an electron from the food you eat, NAD+ is converted into NADH. NADH then feeds the electron to the electron transport chain so the electron can flow to oxygen - the ultimate electron acceptor. How easily electrons make their way to oxygen determines energy resistance (éR) following the energy resistance principle (ERP) Mitochondrial matrix and cell cytoplasm are two different "sealed" compartments, but there is a special system that connects the NAD+/NADH pools between mito and cytoplasm: the Malate-Aspartate shuttle The Malate-Aspartate shuttle shown below is how NADH from the cytoplasm (made by glycolysis) is carried into mitochondria. The electron transport chain can then regenerate NAD+ by respiring the flowing electron. Everywhere in biology: energy transfer. Sometimes without molecular carriers. Here with a number of enzymatic intermediates, creating an integrated electrical circuit. The circuit is in service of the flowing electron looking for a place to rest. Getting back onto oxygen to become H2O (water) again, as it was initially before getting ripped off by light energy and stuck onto a carbon backbone in a green leaf. Trump says people don't want Electric Cars and they... "don't go far, and that we have a thing called "gasoline". Some FACTS: - We also have a thing called electricity. - Solar and wind power generation is greater than coal generation in the US. - My Tesla can go 375 miles without a charge. - More EVs are made by a US Company, Tesla, than any other company in the world. - Teslas are just as affordable as combustion engine vehicles when you factor in fuel costs. - EV and Battery technologies are rapidly progressing. This means faster charging, longer range, cheaper prices, and more efficient vehicles.show more
