๐จ GARY NEVILLE ON ARSENAL WINNING THE COMMUNITY SHIELD... ๐ฃ๏ธ Iโll be honest, I donโt see Arsenal winning the Premier League this season. Theyโve had some very good seasons under Mikel Arteta, but thereโs still one thing they havenโt managed to do โ win the Premier League in back-to-back seasons. Winning the Community Shield against Manchester City is a good start, and Arsenal fans have every right to enjoy it. But that doesnโt suddenly make them favourites to win the league. For me, the biggest concern is their attack. I still donโt see Arsenal having enough elite attackers who can consistently produce at the highest level when the pressure is on. The Premier League is a completely different challenge. Itโs 38 games, consistency, pressure and handling the big moments when the season gets difficult. Until Arsenal prove they can win the title again, Iโm not convinced they can do it. Theyโve got a very good team, but without elite attackers making the difference week after week, I just donโt see Arsenal winning the league again.show more

๐จ Paul Scholes says Arsenal are not among his... Premier League title favourites: ๐ฃ๏ธโFrom what Iโve watched so far, especially after that 3-0 defeat to Brighton, I donโt see Arsenal winning the Premier League this season. They got battered. Brighton were the better team. Arsenal struggled to create clear chances and never looked like taking control. You canโt produce performances like that if you want to win the league, especially against a side willing to take the game to you. They have a very good squad โ a strong defence, quality midfield and players who can change games โ but Iโm not seeing enough consistency or attacking threat. Arsenal look excellent at times, but winning the league is about doing it week after week. You need to win even when youโre not playing well and create and score when itโs difficult. Against Brighton they didnโt do enough. Iโll say Arsenal will finish third or fourth. That wonโt go down well with their fans, but thatโs my view. If they keep putting in performances like that, I donโt see them winning the Premier League. They have time to change it, but right now I wouldnโt put them among my title favourites.โshow more

๐จ JAMIE CARRAGHER: โARSENAL ARE ONLY BETTER DEFENSIVELY โ... THEYโVE GOT NOTHING TO OFFER AFTER THAT.โ ๐๏ธ Jamie Carragher: โLook, you are looking at arguably the best defensive team in world football. Arsenal are incredibly difficult to break down, they are organised, disciplined and they make life very uncomfortable for the opposition. But if weโre being honest, what else are they giving you? It wasnโt a classic. There wasnโt amazing attacking play, there werenโt loads of chances and there wasnโt that much creativity. As a former defender, I can appreciate what Arsenal do without the ball because, defensively, they are excellent. But football isnโt only about defending. When Arsenal have the ball, I still donโt see enough to convince me that they are a complete team. They can control games, they can keep clean sheets, they can frustrate you, but where is the real attacking threat? Where is the creativity? Where is that fear factor going forward? For me, that is the difference. Arsenal are better defensively, absolutely. But after that, Iโm not sure what they offer that makes you think they are genuinely superior to the top attacking sides in this league. You can have the best defensive structure in the world, but eventually you have to create something, score goals and win games with the ball. And right now, I think Arsenalโs defending is carrying far more of the conversation than their football going forward.โshow more

๐จCubarsรญ on Rodri winning the Golden Ball over Messi... โFirst of all, congratulations to Rodri. He had an incredible tournament and nobody can deny that. But if you ask me who deserved the Golden Ball after this World Cup, my answer is Lionel Messi.โ โPeople cannot underplay what Messi did simply because Argentina didn't win the World Cup final. At 39 years old, he was still the best player in the tournament. Every time he stepped onto the pitch, he carried his nation and produced moments only he can create.โ โI honestly think the way the Golden Ball is decided should change. Team results matter, but football is also about individual greatness. Rodri was fantastic, but for me, Messi was the best player of the tournament and deserved the Golden Ball.โshow more

Fernando Torres on Argentinaโs aggression during the FIFA World... Cup final against Spain. ๐ฃ๏ธ โArgentina didnโt lose the World Cup because Spain were untouchable. They lost because they completely lost control of themselves. The moment football disappeared and anger took over, the final was over.โ โI watched players wasting energy surrounding the referee, arguing over every decision, provoking opponents and letting frustration consume them. Thatโs not the mentality of champions. Thatโs panic.โ โA World Cup final isnโt a street fight. Itโs ninety minutes of discipline, intelligence and composure. Spain kept their heads. Argentina lost theirs, and thatโs exactly why only one team lifted the trophy.โ โEvery unnecessary confrontation, every reckless reaction and every emotional outburst pushed Argentina further away from the trophy. They werenโt fighting Spain anymoreโthey were fighting themselves.โ โThe badge on your chest doesnโt give you permission to lose your discipline. The biggest players in football know when to stay calm. Argentina forgot that at the worst possible moment.โ โWhen your emotions become bigger than your football, youโve already handed your opponent an advantage. Spain didnโt need Argentina to make tactical mistakesโArgentina destroyed their own rhythm.โ โChampions donโt spend the final chasing arguments. They chase the ball. Spain stayed obsessed with winning. Argentina became obsessed with everything except the football.โ โIf you canโt control your temper on the biggest night of your career, donโt be surprised when the trophy ends up in someone elseโs hands. The World Cup rewards composure, not chaos.โ โPeople will talk about Spainโs quality, but Iโll always believe Argentinaโs greatest opponent that night wasnโt Spain. It was their own lack of discipline. They gave away the one thing no champion can afford to lose in a World Cup final their composure.โshow more

I recently travelled on an APSRTC bus after a... long time, and this is the pathetic situation passengers are forced to face in the rain. Hello N Chandrababu Naidu & Lokesh Nara, nobody asked for free bus services in the state But when you charge โน1,100+ for a ticket and still provide service like this, what exactly are passengers paying for? If APSRTC cannot even provide basic safety, comfort and maintenance, then shut it down and let private players operate. They may charge more, but at least passengers deserve a service that matches the price they pay. This is unacceptable.show more

Ashley Cole on Englandโs World Cup semi-final elimination. ๐ฃ๏ธ... โEngland have bottled it. Thereโs no sugar-coating this. You donโt spend years building one of the most talented squads in world football only to crumble the moment youโre asked to show courage. They gifted Argentina belief and paid the ultimate price.โ โThey went into their shell after taking the lead. Instead of finishing the game, they started protecting it like a small nation hanging on against a giant. That mentality is embarrassing for a team with Englandโs quality. Champions kill gamesโthey donโt hide from them.โ โThe manager completely lost his nerve. His substitutions, his tactics, his message to the playersโit all screamed fear. Sitting deeper and inviting Lionel Messi and Argentina onto you is football suicide. Everyone watching knew what was coming except the people on the England bench.โ โAnd the players deserve criticism too. Too many disappeared. Too many hid instead of demanding the ball. When Argentina raised the intensity, England folded like a pack of cards. You cannot call yourself world-class if you vanish when your country needs you most.โ โThis wasnโt bad luck. This wasnโt the referee. This wasnโt fatigue. This was a complete collapse of mentality. England threw away a place in the World Cup final because they lacked the courage to keep playing football.โ โIf youโre satisfied with reaching the semi-finals, then keep making the same mistakes. But if you genuinely want to become world champions, performances like this should haunt every single person in that dressing room. They didnโt lose to a better teamโthey lost to their own fear.โshow more

Finish this sentence: The Chiefs are __________________. Here are... Mahomes, Worthy, and Minshew watching the game winning FG go through. What a disappointing loss, and there is a lot to digest. The Chiefs loss today to the Broncos stings. I was there, this was my view, and it was an incredible experience surrounded by Broncos fans, mostly nice fans, but after the game some not so nice fans yelled things at us as we were walking out of the stadium with sadness on our faces. What do you think is missing. You are what your record says you are, and they are 5-5! President Trump just posted that Michael Cohen has fully... recanted the testimony New York used against him. If the star witness says he was pressured and coerced into saying things that were not true, those cases should be dead. Cohen was the engine of Letitia Jamesโs civil case and Alvin Braggโs criminal case, and he has already said prosecutors wanted only what would convict Trump. A prosecution that depends on one witness cannot survive that witness walking it back. James and Bragg did not stumble into this. They built political cases to keep him out of the White House. When the witness they used says the process was wrong, the cases do not get a victory lap. They get shut down. Weaponized law is still lawfare after the target wins the presidency. Dismiss the remnants. Iโm glad to see the witch hunts against Trump fall apart. But people should pay legally for what they put Trump, his family, and America through with the lawfare.show more

Declan Rice on Englandโs approach to facing Argentina and... Lionel Messi in a potential World Cup semi-final. ๐ฃ๏ธ โLetโs stop pretending everything Argentina do goes through Lionel Messi. If you let him dictate the game, youโve already made your first mistake. Our job is to make sure he doesnโt get a second to breathe.โ โPeople can talk about Argentinaโs squad all they want, but when Messi isnโt controlling the match, theyโre a completely different team. Heโs the engine, the creator and the player everyone looks for when the pressure is at its highest.โ โWe arenโt walking onto that pitch to admire him or watch another highlight reel. Weโll be in his face from the first whistle. Every touch will be contested, every pass will be pressured and every yard will have to be earned.โ โThis is a World Cup semi-final, not a tribute to Lionel Messi. If he thinks heโs going to stroll around and control the game, heโs in for a shock. Weโll make it as uncomfortable as possible because thatโs what winning demands.โ โRespect is one thing, fear is another. We respect Messi because heโs one of the greatest to ever play the game. But once that whistle goes, reputation means nothing. Weโre there to beat Argentina, and if we stop their biggest threat, weโve given ourselves every chance of reaching the World Cup final.โshow more

๐จJordan head coach Jamal Sellami on Algeriaโs winning goal... against Jordan as Jordan are eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup: ๐ฃ๏ธ โI have watched the replay several times, and for me it is very difficult to understand how that goal was allowed to stand. From what I saw, the Algerian striker was clearly offside in the build-up to the goal.โ โAt this level of football, with VAR available and every angle being reviewed, these are the decisions that must be correct. We are not talking about a small moment in the game โ we are talking about a goal that decided the match and ultimately our World Cup fate.โ โMy players gave everything on the pitch. They fought for every ball, represented Jordan with pride and put themselves in a position to get a result. That is why it is painful when such a controversial decision goes against you.โ โI respect Algeria and congratulate them on their victory, but I cannot hide my disappointment. In competitions as important as the World Cup, goals that appear offside should not stand. That is exactly why VAR exists.โ โTonight we leave the tournament with our heads held high, but also with questions. Unfortunately, one decision changed everything, and that is something that will be difficult to accept. {BT Sports}show more

They have no home to return to, no warm... bed to sleep in, and no voice to tell us how much they are suffering. ๐๐พ When the rains come, they search for a little dry corner. ๐๏ธ| Lionel Messi on Enzo Fernรกndezโs potential move to... Real Madrid โI spoke to Enzo and I told him to think very carefully before making a decision like that. Chelsea is a huge club. People talk about trophies as if Chelsea cannot win them, but history says otherwise. Sometimes players donโt realise what they have until they leave. I even mentioned Eden Hazard to him. Hazard was one of the best players in the world at Chelsea. Then he went to Real Madrid and things didnโt work out the way anyone expected. Football can change very quickly. Enzo has become a leader at Chelsea. The fans love him, the club trusts him, and he has the chance to build something special there. Not every move to a bigger name on paper ends with a better career. At the end of the day itโs his decision, but if it was me, Iโd stay. Chelsea can give him every trophy he wants if the project is given time. Sometimes loyalty is worth more than another transfer.โshow more

"If someone has served the team for two decades,... there needs to be a good exit." โ R Ashwin on Rohit Sharma๐จ๐ฃ๏ธ โIn his last eight games, Rohit's form has gone down and it can happen to any player. My problem is with the Indian team itself. If you ever felt in your mind that these two players (Rohit and Virat) are not fit for the 2027 ODI World Cup, that could have been communicated at the end of the ICC Champions Trophy.โ โWhy have we let it come till August when it is just 10-12 months left for the 2027 ODI World Cup in South Africa? Players like Rohit and Virat, they deserve respect. In corporates they call it layoffs, but for those who are at senior posts, things are done via smooth communication.
