YOUR BOT HAS A 70% WIN RATE AND IS... STILL LOSING MONEY. This is more common than you think and the reason is always the same. Most people treat win rate like it's the only number that matters. It's not even close to the full picture. Here's the math nobody is putting together clearly: EV = (p × b) − (1 − p) P is your win probability, b is your payout multiplier. At a 70c entry your payout multiplier is roughly 0.43. That means even at 70% win rate your EV is basically zero. (0.70 × 0.43) − 0.30 = 0.001 You are grinding for fractions of a cent per trade while thinking you have an edge. Now look at what happens when you fix the entry price. Same 70% win rate, entry drops to 50c, payout multiplier jumps to 1.0. (0.70 × 1.0) − 0.30 = 0.40 EV per dollar. Same signal. Same win rate. Completely different business. This is why I keep saying win rate and entry price are one calculation not two. Your AI backtest never runs this math because it only looks at whether you won or lost. It does not care what you paid to enter. The fix is not finding a higher win rate signal, it almost never is. The fix is finding why your high win rate entries keep appearing at prices that make them unprofitable. That upstream reason is your real signal. Dig one layer deeper and build around that instead. I broke down the entry price math before and I broke down DCA before. But without understanding EV you are optimizing the wrong thing entirely. Apparently, I saw this video online and I decided... to share. What this worker is applying is called bitumen, or what many of us know as bituminous coating. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? What is being built, across platforms, campaign rallies, and now religious processions is a political vocabulary where your opponent is not defeated but penetrated, where the enemy is not wrong but he is a Gan*u. When language and ritual are both sexualized to this degree, something specific happens to the people inside it: they stop seeing clearly. The violence stops feeling like violence. The degradation stops feeling like degradation. The opponent becomes pest. The procession becomes devotion. The rape joke becomes a rally cry. This is what the normalization is for. The filth is the mechanism. Run it long enough, from the Chief Minister's mouth to the temple truck to the religious procession, and an entire society quietly crosses a threshold it can never name, only feel.
