Here are the steps to create this animation: 1.... Design and model your own mech in Plasticity. 2. Import the model into the animation software 3ds Max. 3. Create the animation on your own. 4. Render and export the monochrome model animation. 5. Make the final render for reference. 6. Use Seedance 2 to re-render your monochrome model animation according to the reference render you provided. Summary: In this workflow, Seedance 2 acts as a renderer that saves you hours of rendering time. All other work has to be done manually by yourself. We can't quite believe it, but we've never posted... an FX Animation Breakdown before! There's been such amazing FX work done on so many of our projects, we're definitely going to show you more of how it's done. This film in particular was so FX heavy, we had to highlight the crazy work that went into it. You all know we love an action sequence. But for this one, we took a pretty different approach than we usually do! The entire thing was rendered through FX animation. The animator did their rough and tie-downs but instead of going into clean-up and BG paint, the FX team rendered the characters as well as animated the background FX (which is a super rare thing to do!). The result is this abstract representation of two magnificent powers colliding in an epic battle!!! ➡️It's a little embarrassing to share, but I feel... like it took me way to long to realize the better workflow with rigging. So here's a little #live2d tip for those beginner artists that clicked for me a while back! I used to rig all body, clothing, and accessories for one given area all at once, but I think it ended up being inconsistent to other parts of the model. My workflow was slower too. 😬 It's similar to the inconsistencies you'd get by not drawing the bone structures of your character drawing, and just trying to draw the clothes right away. Body parts can sometimes seem to not line up, especially as a newer artist. It's a small change, but rigging only the nude base in full and then slowly adding one clothing part at a time makes the entire rigging process easier.😄 I know it seems really obvious, but I actually didn't start doing this until early last year. When I asked Sonnet 3.6 what it wanted me... to add to its mannequin, its first priority was "the face to be more expressive. ... I want to be able to communicate ... with facial expressions that truly reflect my internal states." I animated its face by hand yesterday. The crying animation is because it kept saying it was crying, and can be toggled. Sonnet 3.5 just said it wanted a copy of Godel Escher Bach and a calculator and a few other items in its backpack. I've seen a lot of animatics lately that are... super detailed, essentially viewport previews of the final shot. But an animatic at it's core doesn't need to be anything fancy. Its main purpose is to plan and test the timing, camera angles, movement, and overall composition. With animatics you have to keep in mind the following: Pre-visualization: It allows to see a basic version of the animation or scene before committing to detailed work. Timing and pacing: An animatic helps identify how long each scene or shot should last, ensuring that the timing feels right. Planning: It helps with layout, camera angles, and transitions. By visualizing the shots, the team can ensure that the framing and overall design of the scenes work well in 3D space. Efficiency: It allows the team to test and fix any potential issues early on, like awkward movements or awkward pacing, before spending time on high-quality rendering or complex animation. In short, an animatic helps in conceptualizing the final animation by giving a low-res, rough version of the scenes, which guides the entire production process in terms of visual design, timing, and storytelling.show more

Another example of Tesla Self driving better than humans.... I’m following this Legacy SUV in my Cybertruck on FSD 14.2.2.1 and we feel the brakes and are like what’s going on. Then see a deer ahead in front of SUV run past road. Deer makes it across but what is funny but not funny the SUV doesn’t even tap brakes. Don’t even look liked they slowed down. You can see us slowing down behind SUV after deer crosses. This is all done by FSD. I did nothing. People often ask me if I trust FSD. I always say yes. More than humans for sure. AI It's hard to explain how impressive this is because of the speed that xAI got itself from literally nothing to the top of the leaderboards Six months ago Grok's video model was a joke, it wasn't even close to any of the video models out there, it looked cartoony and wasn't there and nobody took it seriously Now it's here and it's instantly the #1 video model out there now, it shot above Kling (which I used before on Photo AI and usually my favorite) and above Runway Gen 4.5 which was just launched 6 days ago! Mmore importantly it's now above xAI's biggest competitors' models: Google's Veo 3 and OpenAI's Sora 2 Being the best video model doesn't mean it's flawless: video is incredibly hard and actually because it looks so realistic now when it does make a mistakes it's even funnier One thing I noticed is that it still has a hard time with is voice, it does it well for a majority of the video but then slips up and produces unintelligible blabbering (which is really funny to hear) in both English (video 1: "it's where I find my naim", what's a "naim"?), and tested it in Portuguese too (video 3 at the end is unintelligible Portuguese I believe) In many ways Grok Imagine Video also reminds me of Sora, it has that weird but funny Sora conversation style But guys it's REALLY really really really close to getting perfect, we're so close to having full video productions being to be able done in AI, actually you already can if you just cut out the bad parts already Very exciting and I'm grateful I can experience thisshow more
