The album sold 7 million copies by 1995 and over 20 million to date. ‘Get a Grip’ also won the band 2 Grammy Awards, topped the Billboard 200, and produced seven singles. The release marked the return of Joe Perry, who had left the band in 1979, and Brad Whitford, who had left in 1981.
