#Ethiopia: Volcanic eruption in #Dulecha district, #Afar region, following months of seismic activity A volcano has erupted in the Dulecha district of the Afar region after months of heightened seismic activity. Since late September, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded over 67 earthquakes in the area, primarily concentrated in the Fantale region, part of the Main Ethiopian Rift Valley. Some of the tremors have been felt as far away as #Addis_Abeba, the capital city.
