#AssamFloodResponse

बाढ़ ने आपसे बहुत कुछ लिया, अब हमारी ज़िम्मेदारी है कि जो हो सके, वो आपको वापस लौटाया जाए। फिर से मेहनत करके पुनर्निर्माण करेंगे। #AssamFloodResponse

We will restore every piece of infrastructure damaged by the floods: stronger, more resilient and future ready. No family in the affected areas will be left behind. #AssamFloodResponse

Our people have gone through a lot in the last 2 weeks. We have taken a lot of initiatives to alleviate their sufferings and will continue to do so in the coming days. That's a PROMISE. #AssamFloodResponse

Along with flood waters, there has been a tremendous amount of sticky silt across people's homes, fields and the entire affected areas. Today, while visiting these areas, I instructed officials to clean up this silt at the earliest and reduce people's woes. #AssamFloodResponse

Key updates from today’s meeting on #AssamFloodResponse: ✅ Nearly ₹150 cr disbursed as interim relief. Remaining claims will be cleared by tomorrow. ✅ Damage assessment 75% done - over 1,000 surveyors on ground to finish the rest, immediately. ✅ 793 schools under repair, to be ready for classes to resume. Roads and public infrastructure being rebuilt on priority. ✅ High capacity pumps running round the clock to dewater low-lying areas of Sivasagar. ✅ Health camps being scaled up, with close monitoring for any disease outbreak. ✅ Loan relief and insurance claims reviewed - all eligible people urged to file by August 30. We’re mapping compensation and benefits to reach every household. My instructions to officials are clear: no one gets left behind, speed is non-negotiable, and there’s zero tolerance for a lackadaisical approach.

Insurance companies must expedite the settlement of flood-related claims with urgency and compassion. For those who are uninsured, like this civil society member, our Government will stand firmly with them and extend every possible support. #AssamFloodResponse

Walked through the flooded streets of Sivasagar to reassure our people that, come what may, we will stand by every family until they overcome this difficult time. We have already rolled out a host of relief measures, with many more on the way. #AssamFloodResponse
