A 31 year old IIT alumnus & software professional Advait Upadhyay has gone missing during a solo trek to Shivagange Hill in #Bengaluru Rural. Father Strangles Two Daughters at Taj Hotel, Attempts Self‑harm Bengaluru A shocking case of filicide has shaken the city after two minor girls were found dead inside a room at Hotel #Taj near Kempegowda International Airport,#Bengaluru on Monday evening. According to police, the accused, SG Imran (40), a resident of Bilal Nagar in Bengaluru, allegedly strangulated his daughters, Shaik Zehara (5) and Shaik Zoya (10). Hotel staff discovered the crime when housekeeping knocked on the door around 4 pm and receiving no response, entered with security officers. The children were found lifeless on the bed, while Imran was discovered in a critical condition after attempting suicide by slitting his throat. He was rushed to Manipal Hospital by hotel staff,where he is currently undergoing treatment. Police said Imran had checked into the hotel with his daughters on Sunday evening around 5 pm. He is employed with a cab company. A note recovered from the scene allegedly cites marital disputes and suspicions of his wife’s infidelity as the motive. Police are verifying the authenticity of these claims and probing the circumstances that led to the crime. A murder case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and the exact motive.
