#blizzard

#BREAKING: Legendary #Maddow: “Today, you know there’s this huge #blizzard on the east coast. Today, for some reason, Kristi Noem’s department decided to fly a real deportation flight into New Hampshire. They flew it into…New Hampshire at 1 am today, right at the height of the blizzard. The airport…said they had NO IDEA this flight was coming, had they known they would have told them don’t come, it’s not safe, but Kristi Noem’s department, in its INFINITE WISDOM, flew this plane full of people there, presumably shackled…and then they left the people on that plane on the tarmac for more than 12 HOURS in the middle of that blizzard.”🤦♀️

Foot and a half deep snow drifts meets the Gulf of Mexico in Cameron Parish Louisiana. I can’t say I ever even imagined such a thing happening. Last time I was here at this beach was hours before Hurricane Laura devastated this coastline. #lawx #blizzard #snow

❄️ By definition this will be a Bomb cyclone, and it now looks to become a paralyzing coastal #blizzard for New England, Long Island, and perhaps coastal New Jersey and New York City. Many will receive over a foot of snow Sunday into Monday. Coastal gusts in SE New England may reach #hurricane force 75mph+. This is the latest Hi-Res GRAF (IBM) available as of 4pm Friday. In my opinion it’s likely too far north and west with the heaviest snow, so take snow totals N/W of NYC with a grain of salt, for now, until we get closer to the storm. Still coastal locations in Long Island and SE New England will likely see 1-2 feet! One more note: I love snow, so for me, no snow is too much despite what the legend says :) ❄️ #snow #storm Tri-State Weather Adam tocksin

Check out the worst #blizzard I have ever chased on Christmas Eve of 2022 in Buffalo. This blizzard had 80 mph winds, 4-5” per hour snowfall rates, thunder and lightning, and a seiche or storm surge like phenomenon off Lake Erie. People lost their lives trapped in vehicles. The recent bomb cyclone event on the shore of North Carolina had 35-40 mph sustained winds with gusts over 50, and 1-2” per hour snowfall rates. Still a #blizzard and life threatening conditions.
