#Colombian flight attendant Christy Nicole Witek marked 10 years since moving to #Qatar in the most fitting way possible — accompanying 31 cats from #Doha to #NewYork, ensuring they were safely handed over before flying straight back the same day. The journey is the latest chapter in years of quiet, relentless work by Witek and a wider network of volunteers across Qatar. In 2025 alone, they rehomed more than 50 cats, arranged medical treatment and foster homes, relocated over 75 to the U.S. and supported around 50 others through trap-neuter-return efforts. Becoming a flight attendant was never her dream, Witek says — but the career gave her something she never expected: a way to give animals a second chance at life.
