An #Australian naval frigate recently dispatched its ship-borne helicopters multiple times to conduct close-in reconnaissance against China in the #YellowSea and the #EastChinaSea under pretext of implementing United Nations Security Council resolutions, which constituted continuous provocations and endangered China's national security. The Chinese military responded swiftly and their operations were legitimate, reasonable, professional, and in full compliance with international law and practices. However, the Australian side clamored that the Chinese side’s act was “unsafe and unprofessional.” This is not an isolated case. Provocation and harassment come first, followed by media hype — a familiar trick repeated time and again. Military aircraft from certain countries have frequently made provocation and harassment near China’s airspace. But, the legitimate and necessary countermeasures by the Chinese side have been portrayed as “unprofessional”“unusual” or “unsafe”. The old tricks of blame-shifting, mudslinging and "a-thief-crying-stop-thief", cannot conceal the fact that they deliberately provoke and stir up troubles, nor can they deceive the international community. China’s national sovereignty brooks no infringement. China’s actions to safeguard its rights and interests in accordance with laws and regulations are legitimate and reasonable, which cannot be smeared. #Chinamilitary #ChinaMilbugle
