#DRDO's Electro Magnetic Railgun (#EMRG) It uses electromagnetic forces (Lorentz force) to accelerate a projectile along rails, instead of using chemical propellant. ✔️10 MJ capacitor bank developed.(goals up to 100 MJ for larger systems) ✔️Speeds exceeding 2,000 m/s have been achieved. ✔️EXPECTED RANGE: 200KM in ideal condition ✔️Emphasis is on a compact/transportable design (trailer/vehicle mount) and coatings/rail-life tech (Ni-Mo, graphene friction reduction).
