Earlier this month, he was awarded the prestigious “As the Crow Flies” Trophy by aviation enthusiasts at RIAT 2025 for delivering the best overall flying demonstration at the world’s largest military airshow. An experienced combat pilot with over 1,000 F-16 hours, Krakowian also served as an instructor at the 31st Tactical Air Base near Poznań. A proud graduate of the Avia Training Institute in Dęblin and the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, he combined skill, discipline, and passion for aviation in every flight. The Polish Armed Forces confirmed the tragic loss of Maj. Krakowian following an accident involving an F-16 from his home base.
