The Red Rock Fire on the Salmon Challis National Forest in Idaho ran 12 miles last night, eating up 40,000 acres in just hours. #idfire #idwx #wildfire The fire is now over 50,000+ acres. A Complex Incident Management Team from the Southwest, SW Team 3, has been ordered. It also sounds like the Black Eagle fire was more active and a bridge providing access for fire resources may have been compromised by the large fire run. The Elk Fire in Wyoming made a major run last night as well, pushing many miles. The fire is now in view of Sheridan, Wyoming.
