20 Years Ago Today (March 26, 2005) Washington HS senior center Luke Zeller swished a half-court shot at the overtime horn to give his team a 74-72 triumph over Plymouth in the #IHSAA Class 3A state championship game in front of a sellout crowd of 18,345 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Plymouth had taken a 72-71 lead on a lay-up by freshman guard Randy Davis with two seconds left in overtime. Zeller just missed a triple-double, finishing with game-highs of 27 points, nine rebounds, and a Class 3A-record 11 assists. His heroics earned WHS Athletics its fourth state title and first since 1942. With Chris Denari, Dave Nicholson, and Chuck Freeby Sports on the call, this play also appeared on ESPN's Top 10 Plays of the Day! ESPNAssignmentDesk #SCtop10
