Drunk Driver Crashes Into Indiranagar Restaurant, Pedestrians Escape Narrowly,Car seized. Bengaluru A major accident was narrowly averted late Thursday night on #Indiranagar’s bustling 100 Feet Road when a drunk driver lost control of his car, jumped a divider, and rammed into a popular restaurant. At around 11:35 pm, CCTV cameras captured the speeding #Skoda driven by 42 year old Derrick hurtling down from the 18th Main Road toward 100 Feet Road. Unable to negotiate a scheduled left turn due to excessive speed and intoxication, the vehicle mounted the central divider, struck a parked two-wheeler and slammed into the exterior wall of the restaurant. The dramatic footage shows the car missing a group of Pedestrians by mere inches.Fortunately, the incident did not result in any major injuries. #Bengaluru Traffic Police confirmed that Derrick was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Police seized the vehicle, registered a case of rash and negligent driving and detained the driver. A formal legal notice has been served.
