Acting on precise intelligence, they seized an arsenal containing 2 different kinds of IEDs: cooking pots packed with metal fragments - an unusual design intended to maximize casualties in terror attacks - & smaller devices prepared for targeted assassinations. A similar design was used in an attempted assassination of a military commander 2 weeks ago in Al-Rai: It remains unknown if the bomb maker was among those arrested - arguably the most important figure to be captured from these cells.
