The #KeralaLegislativeAssembly today passed a resolution urging the Union Government to withdraw the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, and the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Rules, 2026. These measures will adversely affect voluntary and charitable organizations working in the social, healthcare, education, and humanitarian sectors, particularly in #Keralam. For decades, such organizations have played a vital role in supporting marginalized communities, disaster relief, healthcare, education, and rehabilitation services. The proposed amendments undermine the autonomy of civil society organizations, violate the spirit of constitutional rights and federal principles, and threaten the functioning of institutions that render exemplary public service.
