When this bridge does open some day, if Trump ever lets it open, you should know that there is a competing bridge a little way down the river, a privately-owned very old very congested toll bridge that will likely LOSE some of its traffic…because of competition. It will lose some of its traffic to this pretty, brand new bridge that has just been built. The family that operates the competing old bridge, earlier this year, made a $1 million donation to Donald Trump’s super pac. In short order, a member of that family then got an in person meeting with Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. The White House and the pac say that was just a coincidence…but after the million dollar donation, he gets this meeting, and then the SAME day of the meeting, Howard Lutnick calls President Donald Trump and then Trump suddenly discovers new supposedly trade-related reasons why he’s now suddenly against this bridge, even though previously he has been for it.” 🤦♀️

#BREAKING: Legendary #Maddow: “I sort of can’t believe this story but here we go. March 5th…a New Jersey Republican Congressman named Tom Kean appeared on the House floor to take a vote. March 5th. He has not been seen since. Tom Kean has not been seen in public in the last 95 days.He released a statement in April saying he’s been dealing with a personal medical issue. Last week he followed that up with another written statement saying he will be back ‘within a matter of weeks’, but I’ll say we are now well into June, STILL nobody has seen him. We certainly hope Congressman Kean is okay…but that said, in the meantime, there’s kind of a Weekend at Bernie’s thing going on with the missing congressman, at least if you look online.” 😳

#BREAKING: Legendary #Maddow: “Before the White House said anything about it, we learned this weekend from a Kremlin announcement, that Donald Trump apparently had an HOUR AND A HALF long call with Vladimir Putin this weekend. That’s apparently how the President of the United States celebrated the 250th anniversary of the founding of our country. He had a long, undisclosed, secret phone call with a foreign dictator he has weird slavish devotion to, and who helped him get elected to the White House in the first place. Again, it was the Kremlin that reported first on the existence of the call. After the Kremlin reported that the call had happened, not the White House, we had to hear it from Russia, Trump was then asked about it by reporters and he did then admit today that he’d had the call with Putin right before heading off to NATO. Huh, who called who?”🤦♀️

#BREAKING: Legendary #Maddow: “The president is apparently planning some kind of prime time speech on Thursday to talk, again, about how wrong it is, what a scandal it is, that he lost the 2020 election, his desperation ramping up on this subject. In recent days his effort to subpoena information about election workers in Fulton County Georgia in 2020 was thrown out in court. He’s now taken hundreds of FBI personnel and taken them off whatever else they were working on, to assign them instead to work in Fulton County Georgia on something. We don’t know what exactly that something is, but it’s apparently required them to push out the special agent in charge at the FBI field office in Atlanta, and now at least two FBI intelligence analysts, who refused to be part of these reindeer games and had to be fired so that they could go forward. Trump’s DOJ within the past week has now threatened in writing, to jail all the senior elected election officials in all the states. On top of all that, he’s now fired everyone on the federal Election Assistance Commission which helps states with election security and certifies voting machines.” 🙄

She also served in the same department during Trump’s first term. Karen Budd-Falen’s family has a ranch in Nevada, and there’s a company that wanted to build a huge Lithium mine in that part of Nevada, and Lithium mines…take a ton of water. During Trump’s first term, while Karen was working at the Department of the Interior, Karen’s husband sold the water rights from their ranch in Nevada to the mining company that was going to build this big mine. They said we’re gonna pay you $3.5 million for the water from your ranch, the only catch, the only contingency, is that the full deal ONLY goes ahead if our mine gets approved by the Interior Department…During Trump’s first term, she meets with the mining company, she meets with them at the cafeteria at the Interior Department…and then hey wouldn’t you know it, turns out that mine got approved, and it got approved on a FAST TRACK so it could avoid the pesky environmental reviews…”🤦♀️

As the Associated Press delicately noted: ‘The use of graffiti is a coded message to remind people of crime and urban decay, and has been used in racist messaging against Black people in the past.’ The AP also noting that this latest racist post from Trump for Independence Day weekend comes after another racist post by President Trump that showed the couple as primates in a jungle. Today, for some reason, Kristi Noem’s department decided to fly a real deportation flight into New Hampshire. They flew it into…New Hampshire at 1 am today, right at the height of the blizzard. The airport…said they had NO IDEA this flight was coming, had they known they would have told them don’t come, it’s not safe, but Kristi Noem’s department, in its INFINITE WISDOM, flew this plane full of people there, presumably shackled…and then they left the people on that plane on the tarmac for more than 12 HOURS in the middle of that blizzard.”🤦♀️
